Good centre but website/app difficult…
Good centre but website/app difficult to manage and get information from. I've not been able to book anything for nearly a week due to small print rules that actually should be made clear when booking.

Simply not interested in the members
Simply not interested in the members. Don't listen to suggestions and management sit in their office upstairs.
Poor receptionists have to deal with everything.
Apparently head office control everything.... The HO is in Belfast!
So not really a ' community stadium'

Ineffective monitoring and notification of vacant spaces
Emails for spaces on fully booked activities are not effective for most.
Texts would be a good addition
Some activities are booked but not attended and not cancelled.There needs to be some monitoring and some discouragement for members not to do this.
Too many changing rooms at Yearsley are occupied by people leaving clothes in them while they swim forcing disabled persons to walk further to find usable one

Happy with everything
Tho pool temperature is fine. The tuition of the fitness classes are great. The only thing that lets you down is the fact that when a class of 30 women leave the pool, there are insufficient showers to cope with them all. Waiting is not a problem but when you’re wet and waiting it’s very unpleasant. Also, I’ve noticed that the water in the showers nearest the pool entrance have recent started to turn cold while in use. Is this a fault or a ruse to get us out early? However, overall, I’m pleased with everything. The staff are very pleasant, polite and friendly

I was referred by my doctor with better York stadium Healthwise programme. I have now been attending for just over 2 years with. Knee problem. I am managing to maintain an operation free existence due to my fitness and therapy for my knee been in place. I go swimming 3 times a week where possible.

A very friendly space.
Have found all aspects of Better very friendly and helpful. Especially for someone who is a total novice to a leisure centre. The Healthwise programme is a great way to start doing exercise for health.

Pretty poor
Pretty poor - website is not easy to navigate. Booking an activity seems overly difficult. Apparently you need a bar code to scan to let you through the barriers but I've never received one in my confirmation emails. All in all not a great experience

Healthwise Programme
Although my Better Healthwise programme is limited to 2 week experience and after been involved in only five visits to the gym, I have been extremely impressed with both the excise programme and the helpful advice, assistance and knowledge of the supervisors. It is a most positive experience and I am certain that I will benefit from the programme in the future
