Exorbitant Consultation Fee

I recently reached out to this law firm seeking assistance with a potential fraud case. While their quick response was appreciated, their proposed solution left me quite disappointed.

The firm suggested involving a third-party barrister for an initial case review, but what caught me off guard was the staggering £2000 plus VAT they demanded for this preliminary assessment. This exorbitant fee is required before they even have a clear understanding of the specifics of my situation.

I find this approach to be unreasonably disproportionate. The substantial cost for what essentially amounts to a cursory examination of my case is, in my opinion, a bit of a disgrace. It left me in shock at the sheer amount they expect just to look at my documents and hear about my objectives.

Unfortunately, paying £2000 + VAT doesn't guarantee any actual legal representation or resolution, and I won't be returning to this firm for assistance. Potential clients should be aware of these financial implications before considering their services.
