Very Professional and true to their word

The service we have received from Mogobo and his team to date have been really great. All our questions were answered, the packing team were extremely professional and as promised they were able to pack and load every single item we pointed out to them. If you are looking to relocate internationally I can highly recommend them. Our friends who used their services for relocation to England confirmed that they did not lose a single item through breakage when their move arrived. Thank you for not making an already difficult time more stressful.

Move from Johannesburg to Cape Town

My packers were friendly and very helpful in Johannesburg, the truck driver and stacker were very organised and efficient. Once the Cape Town staff got moving and some supervision they did a good job.

I chose Biddulphs out of 5 or 6 others. The quoted price was surprisingly lower than most. The cheaper ones had bad reviews, yes I did check all the others to see what people say about them. Also the correspondence between Marie-Louise was precise and easy to understand. Pickup was on time and the guys took care with my stuff. The off load was smooth and on time. Everything arrived in perfect order. Thank you Biddulphs

Amazing customer experience!

Nightmare moving experience

I have just moved back to Canada from South Africa. I have moved to or from South Africa 3 times in my life. I used Biddulphs from South Africa this time. The Biddulphs staff broke several items of antique furniture. Numerous other items were so badly damaged by poor packing that they are no longer useable. Most of our jewellery was stolen. The Operations Manager later attempted to evade responsibility for the theft, by suggesting that we should not have packed the jewellery at all, but kept it with us. This was a contradiction of the instructions that the branch manager had given us beforehand. All packing was carried out by Biddulphs or packed according to their instructions. We identified a suspect to Biddulphs and explained our reasons for suspecting him. On Biddulphs request, we reported the matter to the South African Police Services, so that Biddulphs could start their own investigation. We were subsequently told by the South African Police Service detective who was allocated to the case that Biddulphs had conducted their own internal investigation in a way that prevented the SAPS from further investigating it. I regard Biddulphs actions as an attempt to hide the perpetrator and avoid blame. The shipment was then delayed over a month, with attempts being made to blame this on the a blockage of the Suez Canal. This event only took place after our belongings were supposed to have arrived in Canada and is another attempt to evade responsibility for their own actions. They are a dishonest and irresponsible company and should be avoided at all costs.

We whole heartedly disagree with your statements and serious libelous accusations.

THE CLIENTS FIRST NOTIFIED US OF AN ISSUE TWO WEEKS LATER after the consignment was loaded on a direct full container. The issue in question had apparently been in the clients own possession during the packing process! The branch manager reverted immediately.

Note, consignment was delivered approx 400kms in-land by agents. Clients reverted approximately one month after delivery to give a list of damages. There are two main furniture pieces that have incurred damage, namely 1 x antique gate table with damaged leg and 1 x antique kist damaged. Issues noted with packing as per your communication to us refers to, namely 1 x sculpted metal airplane damaged in a box, assortment of silk flowers damaged in a box, 1x calligraphy artwork damaged in a box and an assortment of train silicone moulds damaged.

Once you submit your claim to our insurance brokers as we have suggested businesses to approach for repairs we hope they will process this speedily and in accordance with your valuation form. Below is your reply to our email with suggested businesses to approach:

Hello. I have contacted a number of companies in Vancouver and asked them if they are willing to quote from a picture, but have not yet received a reply. But Canadian businesses are notorious for slow responses. One of them advertises that they repair furniture that is not made in Canada. I’m not quite sure why this is relevant, I suspect they are using it as a marketing gimmick. But since the vast majority of old furniture in Canada is made of maple, it may be important. I have Furniture Medic on Kelowna and also await their response. I have also contacted brokers to let them know what is happening.

He was very friendly, talkative and kept a steady conversation with my wife and I throughout the off-loading process. The gentlemen that were off- loading, worked hard with no time wasting at all. Five star service

I recently moved my household contents to storage using Biddulphs. The sales staff (Deoliza) was efficient and helpful and supplied a quote the same day that I submitted the inventory. Shortly after I confirmed acceptance of the quote I received an email from the operations team confirming the date of the move. On packing day, Lucky and Doctor were courteous and gentle with my things as they packed and wrapped. On moving day the whole team was great, and supervised by David, who remained onsite all day. The team was professional, friendly and I felt as if they treated my items with care and respect. Thank you to Ryan Gibbons, CEO, for your reassurances and for the call on the day to see how it was going. I look forward to receiving everything back in ship shape condition from storage when we find our new home. Thanks Team Biddulphs - I would recommend you guys to everyone. Not to mention that your pricing was extremely competitive for such a big name in the business. Lastly, I also want to mention that it is such good practice to see that you hire disabled people as part of your moving team (a hard of hearing person). I was truly impressed by it all.

We used Biddulphs for our relocation to…

We used Biddulphs for our relocation to the UK. They were the second lowest quote but having used them before and based off that experience we decided to use them again. We were locating right as the lockdowns etc were taking place in SA and so it was an extremely uncertain and not business as usual.
Biddulphs were excellent in the communication, planning and execution of the move. Plus our goods were in storage for 6 months (due to border closures). When we received our house contents in the UK 6 months later the delivery was on time as communicated and we did not have one breakage. I would recommend them to anyone.

We take note of your review, which despite our best efforts to communicate to you on the morning of your move multiple times with reasons beyond our control why were were late you are still unhappy.

We are truly sorry for being late, this is not the norm as per the amazing reviews we get online through various channels other than Trust Pilot. The operations team has been taken to task about this and we will endeavor to ensure our logistics improves.

Our staff legally have to take a break at lunch which we promote to ensure they abide by good safe working conditions. We did explain this to you and the team performed to the best of their ability.

Another successful move

We have now moved three times with Biddulphs and so it was a no Brainerd to use them with our current move. This time we had them pack for us and wow did they pack!!! We were so impressed with how well the packing was done and how fast the process went!!!

Abysmal

We used Biddulphs to relocate from South Africa to the UK. It was an unmitigated disaster. The list is endless...boxes and boxes were missing, nothing was properly numbered so it has proven impossible to evidence our claims to the insurance, and goods were so badly packed that the breakage was shocking - never mind the glassware (shattered), we even had tables and chairs with legs broken right off.
