This experience was super because the speakers (all of them) were inspirational. The event was well organised and the opportunity to meet celebrities and hear their stories and inspiration made it extra-special.

One thing is clear. Running a business on you own is harder. Having an experienced coach, but no just any coach is pivotal. Although I haven't signed up yet. I am coming for Adams house...just need to sort a few things out...but I know that Adam will get me there.

I attended a free Social Media Monetisation event and was encouraged to sign up to a paid 3-day Business Growth Secrets event in Chelmsford. Based on what was presented, I expected structured, practical support to help grow my business.
In reality, the event was largely motivational rather than practical. During the event, I was taken into a separate area and subjected to repeated high-pressure sales conversations about programmes costing between £5,000 and £30,000, with assurances that I could achieve £100,000 in my first year.
I made it very clear that I was recovering from aggressive breast cancer and was concerned about my health and ability to continue. Despite this, I felt significant pressure to commit and was reassured that everything would be “worked around” in my situation.
I paid a £500 deposit and later a further £7,198.92, for the Gold Circle programme which was a total cost of £23,996.40.
After the event, my health deteriorated and I was unable to engage further. I also received no meaningful onboarding or support, but I was contacted to set up further payments.
When I raised concerns and asked about a refund as I was not well enough and had received poor service where I had not been contacted, I was told the deposit was non-refundable, despite earlier verbal reassurances that my situation would be taken into account. When I checked this non-refundable clause is in the contract I signed, but I had assumed that when I was told that everything would be “worked around” then I would be refunded having explained my cancer situation. At no point was it said that I would not get a refund.
When I expressed my concerns of lack of service and health issues the solution was to attempt to upsell me further into a £30,000 package!. I was repeatedly told by the sales person Jordan that she believed that the highest package was still the best for me.
Overall, I felt misled about the nature of the programme, subjected to high-pressure sales tactics, and unsupported after payment. Based on my experience, I would advise others to be aware of these unethical practices.
I will take court action if needed to claim my money back, and will report to Trading standards.

It honestly feels like a cult
The high pressure selling, all the money, no cooling off period, framing your family as the reason you might not find success over people having legitimate anxiety, I would not trust them.

What an insightful evening, with genuine vale and people. I personally really benefitted from the information, much needed business motivation and useful information to work with regarding my social media - well worth attending! The packages are very much worth the money as well as the useful business insight!

It was a great experience! The moment I came to the event I was greeted by Azeez who honestly made my day from the start, provided me all the information and made sure I was really welcomed to the event. Gave me some valuable insight all before the day even started. The event was very informative I consolidated my knowledge on how to scale my social media which was great! I missed the last part of the day but I’m sure it was filled with gems!

I attended the free workshop day and a few days later still can not believe the experience. For context, I went to this workshop with solid social media understanding, I work with companies who have millions of followers and great engagement - also meaning, I know the struggle of how this isn’t easy to achieve. I was curious about this since the ad I saw on my instagram promoting the event suggested there was a quick and easy way to success with social media and so wanted to see what is being told to those outside the SM industry.
The event is engaging but manipulative. There is a lot of participation required, raising your hand every 3 minutes or shouting yes, racing to a specific table at the back of the room to collect freebies. Basic sales psychology encourages you to get the person you are pitching to, to repeatedly agree with you. The small but consistent agreements encourage the brain to build up to bigger and bigger agreements, in this case, spending £2,000 with them to receive the ‘cheat codes’ to SM which was being sold on that ‘freebie table’.
Throughout the event, they asked people about their business, a lot were successful. More were starting out with little to no outside income. When they asked peoples concerns they over egged negativity to make the whole room feel in desperate need. The vunerabiltity in the room was huge.
Another point they frequently made was that everyone was in that room because we had seen their ad and therefor it works. Whilst this is a true, it wasn’t because of the cheat codes to SM that they held. BBE has 9,660 followers and averages roughly 20 likes per post—an engagement rate of about 0.21%, which is very low (when you look at post that are not linked with another account). They also shared that they spend around £250,000 per month on Instagram ads. That level of ad spend is what fills rooms, not exceptional organic social media performance.
Aside from all this, I didn’t learn anything you couldn’t have found on YouTube. From what I understand, each event is encouraging you to buy into the next programme which costs even more to then get a better course and it just keeps on going. Manipulate - buy - don’t learn anything but manipulated to buy again, etc.
If you do not know anything about social media, this day might be good. It will teach the fundamentals and in person which is always better than online. But go knowing the sales tactics, go knowing that there isn’t a cheat code and that this company isn’t going to give you one. Go being strict with yourself that you won’t run around the room and get caught up in games that result in a £2,000 charge.
Aside from all of this, the speakers were rude to the staff and ignored questions that were too difficult to answer. This was a wild event to watch and also a great lesson in manipulation and how to make a quick buck if you lack ethics.
