During purchase I noted last mot showed a n oil leak I asked to check and was assured it wasn’t a problem and that they found no leak on the 200 point inspection, outcome was that the leak was still there and was a very bad one it took me 2 weeks of constant calls to get someone to sort this and 4 advisers from big assist and 2 garage visits and my time and effort to fix, outcome be very cautious of what you buy warranty is not what it seems and no offer of any compensation as I had such poor experience, cannot rate this company
Started off very unprofessional with the first salesman but then handed over to another salesman and he was very professional

Purchased a car from Cannock branch
Beware of the additional extras they try to sell you ours were 3.5K absolutely ridiculous. We declined after they tried several times to give us a deal!
Problems with booking the collection, which took 4.5 hours on the day because
The car wasn’t ready hadn’t been washed, invoice was wrong, it needed the V5 taking to the local post office by us, an MOT and the scratches removing which had been agreed at the sale.
Credit to Kerry in handover and Christian in finance who were professional and kept us informed.
I would advise to use a local dealership who actually care about you as a customer rather than as a number.

I booked a test drive and the car wasn't ready even though I booked the test drive 2 days prior. The sales person had to move 6 cars to get my car out taking a good 20 minutes of waiting. The drive itself went well (ish) albeit only being for under 5 minutes of driving. The car was a hybrid, however the EV charge wasn't topped up for the test drive? Main reason for a hybrid car is for a mix of both fuel and electric, so I could not test this whatsoever during my test drive?
Went back inside to discuss finance, told the advisor I'm not part exchanging (as I was sorting it out myself). Went trough finance options (apparently online you can chose £0 deposit, but this advisor time me it had to be a £300 deposit?) After searching, the finance options weren't good at all. The advisor told me to "bear with" him whilst he check out why the finance quotes weren't any good. After 5 minutes he came back, did NOT sit down, STOOD there and told me 18.9% APR was the best they could do. Before I could even ask him what monthly price this would be, he thanked me for my time and walked off.
I left extremely unpleased.
Determined that this was 'the' car, I took it to myself to source my own financing.
Using a company called Capital Car Finance (who have absolutely outstanding customer service I must add) they managed to get me a deal at 12.9% APR with the same lender Big Motoring World could only get 18.9% with. I went through with this deal.
I went back to Big Motoring World to tell them the situation. Onto my third sales person now, he was kind and helpful. Brought the car around for me to view again, then causally asked me about my third party financing. When I told him the lender and the APR he was adamant they could beat it. Went away to come back and say they can't beat 12.9% for me, even though it was the same lender I had used.
We then went back inside. We went over to the 'optional extras' part, alloy protection, bodywork special paint etc etc. I politely declined as I personally don't believe in these things.
We sat down and discussed extended warranty (every car has standard 3 month warranty, however you can pay extra to extend this). This is where I felt we finally hit rock bottom. The advisor couldn't understand why I didn't want an extended warranty, after 5 minutes of me rejecting his offer, he walked off to get backup.
Another advisor joined the table, started with pleasant chit-chat "what are your hobbies?" etc. Then started to tell me that getting extended warranty was a good idea, after rejecting the offer another couple more times, he then started telling me how unreliable the car I was purchasing was, to the point it was clear he was begging me to buy the extended warranty. "The car will inevitably break down, MULTIPLE times", "You're going to be hit with so many costly bills!!!". He wouldn't take no for an answer whatsoever. It genuinely started to become embarrassing. Even to the point he pulled out his phone, and had to show me a picture of his "V8 Range Rover on the back of a pick up truck as it wouldn't start".
Genuinely all I could think was it was ONLY about commission, not one part of me felt like either advisor was thinking about customer service at all. I got the financing from a 3rd party and not through the dealer, no commission for Big Motoring World. I didn't purchase any car protection, no commission for Big Motoring World, then it all came down to the extended warranty. Begging me so they could get some commission. After 20 good minutes the advisor finally gave up and left me alone.
Defeated the original advisor told me the finance team will send me a link to pay my deposit and I'm "good to leave" and he walked off and just left me there? I received a text to pay a £500 deposit, despite me telling them it should be £300. I then had to get up and go searching for this advisor who ran off, to which I was told that the deposit was £500. I had to explain that the finance deal had been signed, so how could I pay a different deposit to what I had previously agreed and signed. He then went and spoke to the finance team, called to me from across the room that I'll receive another link, and wondered back off.
Finally got the correct deposit link, paid and walked away.
Collection of my car wasn't the best either, went to reception who told me to go to the far room and find a seat. Sitting waiting for 20 minutes without anyone coming over. Finally an advisor came, got me to sign documents, he was clearly unbothered. Looking around the room, rushing through the documents. He then walked off. Another 20 minutes passed before yet ANOTHER advisor came and called us into the far back office. Going through tax and final documents.
The final advisor was nice and informative, but this did not change my overall experience of Big Motoring World Cannock.

I would never purchase another vehicle from Big Motoring World and would strongly advise others to think carefully before doing so.
We purchased a Ford Kuga from Big Motoring World and what followed was months of stress, inconvenience and poor customer service. We owned the vehicle for approximately 9 months, yet only actually had use of it for around 5 months. The remaining time the vehicle was in Big Motoring World’s possession due to ongoing faults and failed repair attempts.
The most frustrating part is that Big Motoring World had no issue selling us a vehicle that was clearly not fit for purpose. We were repeatedly inconvenienced, left without our vehicle for long periods, and forced to spend countless hours chasing updates and trying to get issues resolved.
Their customer service throughout the process was dreadful. Communication was poor, calls were not returned when promised, and several members of staff came across as dismissive and uninterested in helping. At times it felt like we were the inconvenience rather than the customers who had been sold a faulty vehicle.
To finally resolve the situation, we ended up exchanging the vehicle for another car from Big Motoring World. This was not because we wanted to continue doing business with them, but because we felt it was the only way to avoid losing even more money after everything we had already been through.
The exchange process itself was equally frustrating. We made multiple trips to their Cannock branch, spending close to 30 hours travelling back and forth at our own expense to deal with a problem that was entirely of their making. Fuel costs, time off work, wasted weekends and the general disruption to our lives were never properly acknowledged.
Even on collection day for the replacement vehicle, we were left waiting for hours despite having a booked appointment. The entire process was slow, disorganised and lacked any sense of urgency.
What should have been an exciting vehicle purchase turned into one of the worst customer experiences we have ever had. The only positive outcome is that we eventually received a replacement vehicle. However, the amount of time, stress, inconvenience and poor treatment we experienced to get to that point was completely unacceptable.
Based on our experience, I would not recommend Big Motoring World to friends or family.

You cannot just go ad look at the cars. You can only go in and view if you leave all your details!!! This incudes leaving your name, telephone number and email address. no doubt to bombard you. We told them to shove it and went elsewhere . shocking marketing

Two weeks ago I visited Motoring World in Cannock regarding purchasing a vehicle. During the test drive, we noticed the battery warning and highlighted this immediately with the sales team. When I was due to collect the car the following Wednesday, I again raised concerns about the battery issue.
At that point, I was specifically informed that the battery would be replaced by Mercedes-Benz and that diagnostic coding/checks would also be completed to ensure everything was correct. I was given the option of either proceeding with the purchase once the work was completed or receiving my deposit back. Based on the assurances given, I agreed to continue with the purchase and was told the vehicle would be ready after the bank holiday.
Today, I received a call advising the car was ready for collection. However, when I asked whether the work had been completed by Mercedes-Benz as previously agreed, I was told there had been “no such conversation.” I was then informed the battery had actually been fitted by their own onsite technicians, and the discussion regarding diagnostics/coding was also denied.
Due to the inconsistencies in communication and the lack of transparency, I informed them I no longer wished to proceed with the purchase and requested my £500 deposit be refunded. I was told a sales manager would need to call me first, despite me clearly stating that I did not wish to have further sales calls and simply wanted the refund processed.
I also experienced poor communication throughout the process. Emails sent last week with questions and concerns were ignored by a manager Z, refused to confirm key information via email and would only discuss matters verbally, despite me referencing the Consumer Rights Act. He was rude and patronising.
My overall experience was that the sales approach was extremely pushy, particularly regarding finance and warranty products, despite me making it clear from the start that I intended to pay via bank transfer and did not want finance. While some staff members were pleasant and professional, the overall customer service was disappointing.Attempts to speak with senior management were repeatedly met with excuses that they were “in meetings.”
Thankfully, I only paid a £500 deposit and not the full balance. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering buying from Motoring World to do thorough research, ensure all agreements are confirmed in writing, and proceed with caution.
Update
Furthermore I have now been told they will not refund my deposit. It’s a nightmare they are taking no responsibility they are continually chopping and changing what they are saying and denying any conversation have taken about Mercedes replacing battery . Different people calling stating we doing a courtesy call knowing god damn well a refund was agreed this is truly not acceptable .
Keep away from purchasing anything from them it is not worth the stress of headache very unprofessionally run no communication within teams. Or is this their game play

I bought a car from the Cannock Branch in April. The pick up was so slow my documents didn’t get done until after 9pm at night so my details were promised to be given to DVLA the next day. I have emailed numerous times about this with no solution.
Less than a month later the car breaks down with no clutch movement.
The warranty conditions are a sham and details held by 3 different companies where nobody talks to eachother.
They have left me with no courtesy car for 3 days no and I am self employed business living in a rural area so access to a car is vital.
No urgency, no customer service, absolutely shocking!!
AVOID. If you need them when things go wrong, they won’t be there for you.
