I purchased a Nissan Ariya from Big Motoring World and have been very disappointed with the after-sales service.
During the sales process, I was told the vehicle had the manufacturer's warranty. After the purchase, I discovered this was not the case. In their final complaint response, Big Motoring World apologised for the incorrect information I was given but refused to offer any further assistance.
I also reported an alarm issue shortly after taking delivery and asked about the vehicle's service history. Rather than resolving my concerns, I was advised to arrange my own diagnostic inspection if I wanted to pursue the matter further.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Big Motoring World. I would advise anyone considering buying a vehicle from them to verify the manufacturer's warranty and service history independently before completing the purchase.
Update:
Big Motoring World’s public response does not address the key issue that they admitted in their own final complaint response that I had been given incorrect information regarding the manufacturer’s warranty. Instead, they simply state that only the manufacturer can confirm warranty status, which is not the issue I raised.
They also did not address why I was told to arrange and pay for my own diagnostic inspection regarding the alarm issue shortly after delivery.

Very disappointing experience at the Wimbledon branch.
My partner and I visited twice over two consecutive days. On the first day, after being seated, we were left waiting for around 30 minutes without any further assistance, so we eventually left.
We decided to give the branch another chance the following day because we genuinely wanted to buy the car. We had originally booked a 7:00 pm appointment but called ahead to move it to 5:30 pm. During that call, we specifically asked whether we would be able to drive the car away that evening if we decided to purchase it, and we were told that we could.
During our visit, we spent nearly two hours going through the purchase process. We were also subjected to a very high-pressure sales pitch for warranties and additional products. We understand that these products are offered, but the approach felt excessive and made us seriously consider walking away.
At around 7:00 pm, after we had completed almost everything, we were finally told that the mechanics had already finished for the day and that it would not be possible to collect the vehicle. Had we been told this when we arrived—or even during the phone call when we specifically asked—we could have made an informed decision instead of spending two hours at the dealership under the impression that we would be driving the car home.
The issue wasn't simply that we couldn't collect the car. It was the poor communication, inconsistent information, and overall customer experience across two visits that ultimately led us to cancel the purchase altogether.
A large dealership should be able to provide a much better-organised and more transparent buying experience.

Thankyou to Lucas for wonderful service and support when I was in a difficult position in clarifying details when I was picking up a car …and his kindness and empathy when I decided to choose a different option. He clarified, explained kindly and understood my position. No hard sell…just information, kindness, efficiency and and support. THANKYOU Lucas.

I used the online service to have my chosen car moved from Norwich to London (Wimbledon). Seamless experience, great comms, all went smoothly on the day of the booked appointment to test drive. Completed the process in the showroom and drove away a few hours later. The vehicle itself is in immaculate condition as advertised - felt like a brand new car.

Had to fill in a form with our details even before looking outside (never did that with Sytner) so they had our details before anything. Needless to say walked straight back out. Avoid. If I want more info on a car I would have come to a sales person.
Avoid if you can. Staff arrogant when refused to fill form and walked out.

Good experience and they helped save me money so 👍 - but very pushy to add extras to the service which I made it clear didn’t interest me. Had to be firm - and repeat myself a few times.

Had an amazing experience with Ali at Wimbledon from start to finish. I’m very indecisive, but he was so patient, friendly, and informative throughout the whole process. He made me laugh and really helped ease what was already a stressful experience for me. His knowledge and experience were clear from the start, and nothing ever felt rushed or pressured.
Excellent customer service I’d highly recommend asking for Ali if you’re looking for a smooth and enjoyable carbuying experience!

I recently bought a car from Big Motoring World in Wimbledon. Within minutes of collecting the keys the tyre pressure warning flashed on the dashboard. It turns out there are 2 issues: a broken sensor on one side and a puncture on the other. At the time of writing (2 - 3 weeks after purchase) Big Motoring World are still suggesting that the faults are normal wear and tear and won’t confirm they will cover the cost of repair.

I recently bought a Kia ProCeed from Big Motoring World and, while the car itself may be fine, the after-sales experience has been very disappointing.
At the point of sale, I was sold additional products, including a RAC Extended Warranty and Tyre & Alloy Protection. The RAC warranty was presented to me as useful cover from the moment I bought the car, especially for anything not covered by the manufacturer warranty.
However, after the purchase, I tried to activate the RAC warranty and could not do so because the vehicle still appears to have active Kia manufacturer warranty. I then received inconsistent information. I was told the RAC warranty would only start after the Kia manufacturer warranty expires, which would be years later. Later, I was told it could be activated alongside the manufacturer warranty. This is extremely confusing and not what I understood when I agreed to buy it.
I was also told to contact Kia myself to confirm whether the manufacturer warranty was valid. In my opinion, this is something the dealer should have checked and clearly explained before selling me an additional warranty product.
When I contacted customer service to cancel the optional products, I was initially told cancellation was not possible because of the 14-day cooling-off period, even though I had bought the car only 7 days earlier. That made the whole experience even more frustrating.
Overall, I feel the additional products were not explained clearly or fairly, and I have had to spend a lot of time making calls to Big Motoring World, RAC and Kia just to understand what I was actually sold.
Buying a car is already stressful and expensive. Customers should not be left confused after the sale, especially when finance and warranty products are involved.
Based on my experience so far, I would be very careful before buying any optional products from Big Motoring World. Make sure everything is explained clearly in writing before signing.

Two very different experiences at Big Motoring World Wimbledon that ultimately led us to purchase elsewhere.
Our first visit was genuinely positive Jake was outstanding. Knowledgeable about trim levels and EVs, patient, and really helped us understand what we were looking for. The only downside was arriving at 9am for our appointment only to wait 45 minutes while the team had a staff meeting not a great start when you've made a special trip.
Our second visit to complete a purchase was a completely different story. Bill, our sales advisor, was disengaged and underwhelming from the start. The car hadn't been cleaned, we were given incorrect information repeatedly, and were told we wouldn't be able to drive away that day despite arriving 2.5 hours before closing and the car being advertised as 'drive away today' on the website. Red flag after red flag.
We ultimately purchased the same car from a Kia franchised dealer same price, Kia Assured warranty, and an immaculate handover. The contrast couldn't have been greater.
Jake deserves better colleagues around him. Big Motoring World Wimbledon as a whole needs to seriously look at its customer service standards.

DO NOT BUY FROM BIG MOTORING WORLD!
I purchased a Mercedes E220d AMG Line Premium. Less than a month ago. Within days I discovered the car was sold in an illegal, unsafe and misrepresented condition.
🔴 ILLEGAL TYRES
Four mismatched tyres from three different brands (Nexen, Kumho, Dynamo) across both axles — illegal under UK road regulations. Never disclosed.
🔴 £3,434 IN REPAIRS CONFIRMED
Two independent inspections confirm serious faults:
• Both front and rear suspension arms require full replacement — £2,138 (independent garage)
• Driver's door window requires full replacement — confirmed by an authorised Mercedes-Benz dealership
• Engine cover missing entirely — not disclosed at sale, not found in their 200 Point Inspection
Total repair estimate: £3,434
🔴 RESPRAYED BODYWORK
Offside rear wing has been resprayed. Not disclosed. Their own inspection stated 'No Evidence of Accident Damage'.
🔴 THEIR OWN WARRANTY COMPANY SAYS IT'S UNSAFE
Assurant, Big Motoring World's own warranty provider, advised me in writing not to drive the vehicle due to safety concerns — directly contradicting Big Motoring World's claim that the car is safe.
🔴 THEY REFUSED MY LEGAL RIGHT TO REFUND
I formally rejected the vehicle within 30 days under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. They refused, calling everything 'wear and tear'.
I have now filed a formal complaint with the Motor Ombudsman and reported this to Trading Standards.
Get an independent inspection before buying ANYTHING from this dealer. Do not trust their in-house checks.

I brought from Big Motoring World Wimbledon. Upon leaving the store the air bag warning symbol immediately appeared on the dash - literally on the drive home.
As well as this the driver side was missing a floor mat which they hid with a piece of paper on the floor. So I didn’t notice it till after. It has multiple scratches which they try to hide by keeping the car permanently wet.
They also failed to mentioned the car was many software updates behind where it should be - this means it is missing multiple safety recalls.
The 200 point inspection must be an absolute joke.
I will likely be a couple of hundred out of pocket on this car after a week of ownership because i can no longer update the car and must take it to a dealership- SOFTWARE is covered in the warranty unsurprisingly. They also will probably not pay for my air bag diagnostic.

Staff were very helpful but downside we got lost in their queuing system which led to a wasted 40 mins to an hour.

Avoid Big Motoring World at all costs. Once they have your money, they completely abandon you and run you in circles.
I bought a plug-in hybrid from them, only to discover immediately after purchase that the car does not work in electric mode at all. On top of that, they knowingly sold me the car with a faulty tire—a massive safety hazard. To make matters worse, they pressured me into buying an extended warranty that is completely useless, as none of the listed garages on the warranty even service hybrid or electric vehicles.
Their post-sale customer service has been shocking. It has been a full month of going around in circles with no resolution. First, they booked me into a garage 25 miles away from my home. When I objected, they claimed to book one closer to me. I took time out of my day to drive down there, only to discover the booking didn't even exist.
This company is utterly pathetic. They sell faulty cars, fake bookings, and worthless warranties. Save yourself the stress and buy from a reputable dealer instead.
