Chris and the team at The Bike Shed in Barnstaple are absolute diamonds! I popped in to buy a new bike and the service was top-notch.
I was ready to drop some bees and honey (money) on a quality bike, and Chris sorted me out with a proper beauty. No pony (nonsense) or pushy sales, just a bunch of geezers who really know their onions and helped me find the perfect ride.
It’s easily the dog’s dinner (the best) shop in town. If you’re looking for a new bicycle, get yourself down there and have a butcher's (look). Five stars, simple as!"

I recently bought a giant stance for my son. The service was excellent. On collecting the bike they took the time to set it up for my son. Talking him though each step and also how to maintain the bike.

First time dealing with this business having moved to the area recently. Mot was arranged quickly, and when I had to go to London on the day of the mot they were very happy to let me leave the bike inside the night before. Being a Rocket iii Touring its a big unit and they managed to rearrange the workshop to accommodate it. 👍

I want to express my appreciation to Martin and colleague at The Bike Shed, Crediton, when they came to my assistance on Friday, Dec 19th.
My tyres were under-inflated for the ride on the A377 to Eggesford and back that I was embarking upon, and Martin helpfully used his pump to make my tyres rock hard, and to save my 26-mile timed training
ride which was successfully completed in ideal Christmas-time conditions. As it was my biggest ride
since recovering from a major cancer operation in December 2024, it was a significant occasion for me.
I had used my hand-pump when setting out, but it had proved ineffective on this occasion, unfortunately.

As I don't want to be caught out like this again,

The delivery was punctual, and communication regarding the shipment was excellent. The products arrived in perfect condition.

Very happy with the service, delivery and communication. Called a coupe for times and was easy to get a real person to talk to on both occasions and both times very pleasant and helpful.
Only one thing to mention, I purchased peddles as it was not mentioned online that peddles were included and received two pairs of peddles. I should have clarified! But website says no peddles unless stated they are included!

We bought a Whyte Elyte Evo RS from here and they went above and beyond for us delivering to our holiday destination setup tubeless with friendly updates throughout. The bike was a fantastic price and after straightening the bars, attaching the front wheel and adding pedals we were good to go. Even the delivery driver was ace helping us inside with the bike. Thanks to Seth and everyone else who sorted this for us.
