Manual instructions not clear and precise for dehumidifier BD22MWSA. I called the number provided and got a heavily accented man could ONLY inform me they have only what’s in the manual.
I tried the web site given. Found I have to pay to talk to a contractor.
Black and Decker has definitely lowered their standards

Not actually Black and Decker anymore - so suspend your fond memories of Grandad's drill being reliable etc. Now they allow Chinese companies to sell stuff with their name on it, RKW for example, Black and Decker do not support these products, so makes you wonder why they put their name on it. Its a marketing gimmick to take advantage of what was a strong credible brand.

Bought a portable AC from them. Stopped working after a month, trying to claim the warranty has been like pulling teeth, daily emails and calls for over a month and still no new unit...

I purchased a black and decker dehumidifier and a few months later found that it was forming ice in the back prohibiting it from functioning properly. I called Black and Decker and they confirmed this was within the warranty and asked me to send it back to them which I did immediately. It has now been over a month with no replacement. They stopped replying to my emails and when I call, they keep telling me to call back next week, week after week after week. I am certain they lied about their warranty and essentially stole my item. Clearly, they don't care about retaining their customers. The amount of time it has taken me to deal with this and clearly get nowhere is inexcusable.

Permormance was good albeit very noisy, but batteries worn out after less than 4 years light use, would not recommend and will not buy again. Same make 9v machine still working after 10 years plus light use.

1) Purchased on September 2022 from Catch.

2) December 2022:
Battery was faulty and couldn't be charged. The seller(Catch) recommended me to talk to the manufacturer (Black and Decker) and the manufacturer recommended me to talk to th seller(catch).

3) 03 January 2023:
Due to the Christmas holidays, I lodged the faulty product to the service centre(De Rossi @ Lidcombe) of Black and Decker in January 2023 (Job # S257234).

4) Between late Jan and Feb 2023:
I received a replacement product from Black and Decker.

5) Early May 2023:
Main unit (stick vacuum cleaner) was faulty and couldn't turn it on.

6) 09 May 2023:
I lodged the faulty product to the service centre(De Rossi @ Lidcombe) of Black and Decker again (Job # S258954).

I am still waiting for updates from the service centre or Black and Decker.

Never buy this product...

I am sorry to say, being a loyal and long-time customer of Black and Decker products for over 30 years how disappointed I am in their lack of customer satisfaction. It seems an item ,that was given to me as a gift,the battery was defective for a weed trimmer and lasts than 10 minutes.I cut contacted Customerservice, and they no longer have that item with that size battery bottom line their suggestion was to pay over $80 for a new battery!Always purchased Black & Decker because I thought they would back their products – now, zero stars would be appropriate. Go with Ryobi, craftsman green works, etc. Black and Decker is horrible😞

I've used my black and decker rice cooker close to 7 months and it is the worst purchase decision I ever made. If you cook half a cup of rice it burns before switching to warm and you have to physically switch it. Also it doesn't store food as the food goes bad while it's plugged into the warm setting. So much for a beautiful design!

I recently purchased a B&D grass and hedge trimmer, Model GSL35. When charged fully, it only lasted about 1/2 hour while trimming tall grass. In use, the motion of the blades was rather weak, also. I expected more of this product.

I purchased a Black and Decker mixer, model MX401 just under 2yrs ago. The whisk broke! I went on the website they sent me to but got no results. I called the number provided in manual for parts and they tell me they have no replacement parts for it. So what do I do now, buy another one? I don’t think so. I will not be purchasing from Black and Decker again.

Horrible customer service. Spent $500 on an AC unit, broke a few months later (the refrigerant was leaking which is a massive biohazard). I opened multiple tickets and their customer service never returned my calls or emails. When they did lick up the phone they would say they were sending a prepaid return shipping label for the exchange. Weeks passed and it didn’t happen. After I opened 4 different claims they finally were willing to at least give me a claim number so I can track this. At this time they still haven’t sent a shipping label. I would not reccomend buying any appliance from black + decker; because if it breaks they Do Not honor appliance warranties.

Many many years ago my Black & Decker iron went on fire. I have never bought one of their products again until recently. I decided to give them another shot. Just as I thought the product I bought doesn't work. I called their 800 number and got transferred around five times and then I said it's just not worth it

Purchased a black & decker mouse sander & would like to say what a fantastic tool this is for just £20 from b&q.
It's very well made with a dust proof switch. Vibrates very little & is extremely well made.
Brilliant for small area's & getting into corner's. So nice to come across something these day's that's faultless.

In August, my father bought a portable a/c unit from B&D. It's had problems from the beginning. Every time contact is made, they ask the same questions, the same documents are emailed, a form response comes back, and then the case is forgotten. I tried calling Assurian, the insurance company, but getting through was impossible. This is so frustrating.

Worst customer service in Calcutta region. Referring to Induction machine. Any complain takes minimum 2 weeks for a technician to make a call. Then their attitude speaks you made a mistake in complaining. Rest is your destiny.

I bought one of their dust-busters and it works great and I recommend it very highly as it's the only one I ever used that worked well. Definitely a good buy and well worth the money.

Black & Decker seems to be cleaning up its act. One of their lithium batteries I'd bought quit working, and when I called their support site, they said, "No problem. We'll just send you another." It was so fast and easy. I don't know what all the bad reviews are about. Maybe Black & Decker are figuring out the benefits of good customer service. I plan to keep buying their products.

I purchased a B&D hand held vacuum from Fingerhut. I received it and it picked up nothing. They exchanged it and the new one still picked up nothing. They then said there was nothing they could do. Contacted B&D they also said Sorry we can’t help you. I purchased this because I thought this was a good brand.

This is about the Black and Decker BEHTS501 Sawblade Hedge Trimmer 600mm. I am amazed at what a failure this item was! I read some pretty convincing reviews, and only now, after it failed, have I found out that those 'convincing' reviews were on Feefoo, where businesses invite reviews, and then select which ones they use in their own review display! Total con! Black & Decker 'selected' reviews, that appear to praise this item and they also comment on them, as if they are taking on board what is being stated. The problem is I can't review the item, as I have to be invited to, or it has to be four weeks, then I have to ask Feefoo to approach the company I bought this rubbish from, blah, blah, blah! Nonsense!

So, here is my review, here, and Black & Decker: you are selling an item that is rubbish! It really does not do what you state! It is more Made in China, shoddy, rubbish, and the whole thing with Black & Decker is that ALL your products appear to be made there! Why? This is why your power tools brake down, and why this item does not do what you claim.

It is supposed to cut branches up to 25mm; impressive claim! Its teeth are 26mm apart, and yet when you look at the blade, it is blunt! This has one set of teeth, that move back and forth over a steel lower portion, and that portion is totally blunt, but the teeth should be razor sharp; they are not! Hence, this item grabs at branches, and pulls and tears, thus no clean cut! It cannot manage to cut anywhere near 25mm! I have photos of it ruining branches of just 15mm! The blades ease apart, and you can put a piece of card between them easily! This means when it cuts slivers of wood easily get trapped, too! It also struggles, motor wise, and yet it is supposed to be 600 watt! It has blackened grease on the useless blade, and this is just hard; not lubricating! I am sending it back as not fit for purpose, and quite frankly this is the last piece of Black and Decker I will ever buy, as I have already been disappointed with power tools, so never again. This used to be a great British stalwart, now it is a dealer of yet more sub-standard, Chinese rubbish! What gets me is the number of tat companies in the UK that seem to buy from China, when China has zero human rights, pays slave labour, and exploits its poor staff. Just so they can then sell on junk like this to us!

The ABSOLUTE Worst Customer service!!, I Will Never purchase another black and decker product!!, purchased a space heater, that was making a weird noise right out of the box, it lasted 5 months, And when trying to get a 1 year factory warranty, called 3 different numbers, and spoke to 7 different people, And Still Not Resolved!!! Do yourself a favor! Stay Far Away from Any black and decker product!
