Fantastic good sized Metal Robin Sculpture Handmade from recycled spoons and forks which is even better than the picture. Great quality and construction and such a clever idea. Looks so effective. More than met my expectations and superb value for money considering the work that has gone into making it. Super fast delivery. I will certainly be visiting again.

This is my second purchase from this seller. Fabulous quality, great price and arrived packaged well and in quick time. My brother loved his gift, made from recycled cutlery and he decided to buy himself another BUT from a different supplier. He was so disappointed with the quality of his purchase compared to mine. Cannot fault this supplier or the service manager, Rhiannon.

A very poor all round experience from this company. Ordered an item based on next day delivery and the item arrived a week later. Was delivered to the wrong address and was damaged. I made contact with the company 3 times when I was waiting for the delivery and received false promises of when it would be delivered and call backs which never happened. Black Country requested return of the item creating more work for me as the customer. Item was sent back and 5 days later I am still waiting to hear about my refund. Really poor experience all round, unprofessional, not true to their word. In my opinion DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Extremely disappointing – what has happened to this place?
We hadn’t been to Black Country Metal Works since 2020 and, remembering how good it used to be, we were genuinely looking forward to returning. We drove for over an hour specifically to visit and buy some of the fantastic artisan metalwork items they used to sell.
Sadly, what a disappointment.
The shop that used to be packed with fantastic, unusual and genuinely interesting artisan pieces has effectively disappeared. In its place is a large café/restaurant and a gift shop selling the sort of generic, mass-produced gifts you would expect to find in a large garden centre.
There are still a few ironwork items around, and the sculptures themselves are very good, but the place has lost what made it special. It used to have character and felt like somewhere you could spend time browsing and finding something completely different. Now it feels much more like a commercial tourist attraction.
The restaurant experience was particularly frustrating.
We ordered two coffees and a cake and waited. And waited. After 30 minutes we still hadn't received anything. There appeared to be very little urgency from the staff, and nobody seemed particularly interested in explaining what was happening.
By this point we had to leave, so we went to ask for a refund. This was when things became even more ridiculous – our order hadn't even been started.
How can two coffees and a cake take 30 minutes without even being prepared?
What really annoyed me was the attitude and complete lack of organisation from the staff. There seemed to be no communication whatsoever, and the whole restaurant operation appeared chaotic. Nobody seemed to know what was happening, and there was certainly no sense that anyone was taking responsibility for the problem.
We were promised a refund, but at the time of writing I am still waiting for it.
The whole place gave the impression of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing. It's incredibly frustrating when you've driven over an hour to visit somewhere, spent your time and money getting there, and then receive such poor service.
The £5 entrance fee isn't really the issue – the sculptures are worth seeing. The issue is that the Black Country Metal Works we remembered seems to have disappeared.
What was once a fantastic and distinctive venue showcasing artisan work now feels like a commercial tourist park selling generic gifts, with an expensive café attached.
It's genuinely sad because this place had something special. We were expecting to come away with some unique metalwork and have a pleasant visit. Instead, we left extremely disappointed, frustrated and feeling that our time had been completely wasted.
The changes to the site are disappointing enough, but the restaurant service and chaotic staff were the final straw. We certainly won't be making the long journey back.

Holly from sales was really helpful & nothing was too much trouble. I am picking it up & I am going to spend a few hours there. It sounds a nice place to visit. It's apparently easy to put together so I will find a family member to do it. Thank you Holly..

I have bought a couple if items from Black Country Metal Works, and although I have not yet used them properly they seem pretty good in quality.

I was also impressed at the speed of the delivery and the over all cost was not expensive. Its also nice to know you are supporting a family run British business. I will certainly buy from them again I'm sure.

The post box is beautiful, extremely well made and looks amazing. I expected it to arrive in a couple of weeks, but it was delivered the next day. Thank u so much,
