Rip Off!
Hi, on this website it appears as if the company is based in South Africa. So when you read about shipping and taxes applicable you expect it to be local costs. When I ordered the item and paid shipping charges I thought it was reasonable and was quite excited to receive the item. A week or so passes and I get an email from a South African courier company asking for money to clear a parcel! First I thought it was a scam, but when I enquired with Blackleaf they confirmed that was indeed my parcel. So I had to pay more than double the value of the item in customs clearance and taxes! It doesn’t make sense, why would you pay shipping on an item and then still have to pay more than double for that item to enter your country. It’s not cool! Won’t use Blackleaf again.

I appreciate that it may look like we are based in South Africa, however, like many companies we have bought a South African URL to better reach our customers in this part of the world, Also there is a disclaimer that pops up when going through check out to let you know there may be customs on your order you are not able to proceed without acknowledging this.
