I first got in touch with BND early this year. Our first conversation was great and I felt they were perfect for me from the get-go. Super friendly and honest! Danielle explained that I was unlikely to need certain services they offered due to the size of my business and it was really refreshing for a company to be so honest.

I was able to do a payment plan which was really handy for me and felt their costs were fair for the service they were offering.

They were also really honest with regards to timescales and how long things would take. Really quick to respond to any emails and helpful when I had questions.

All tweaks and changes I requested were accommodated with nothing less than a friendly, no problem at all, attitude. Where things weren't possible, it was explained as to why, not just a no.

Something I really love is that as a customer you get your own backend login so you can make tweaks as you like and they also give you a training session and training videos so you can do all the changes you need to without bugging them.

The ongoing hosting cost is also extremely reasonable.

Overall I would highly recommend BND for a personal, top-notch service.

I cannot thank Black Nova enough for all of the IT support they have given to me and my business. From day to day IT support, to producing a brilliant new website, Kyle and Danielle have been fantastic.

I’ve felt supported all the way through after going with a chap who knew nothing and messed my website up and emails, the move over to Black Nova has been supportive, smooth and so simple. I couldn’t have asked for a better service. They are kind and understanding, customer service is fantastic.

Really disappointed with how I’ve been treated especially over the last 12 months. When I first asked Blacknova to be my host I was happy and then the moment I stopped paying monthly for extra work done things changed, I no longer felt like a valued customer. I found Danielle rude on the phone and like she didn’t care anymore. When they had their systems hacked Danielle made out it was down to who our emailing was and if we were to take theirs out it wouldn’t happen again and that for the inconvenience caused they’d offer a gesture of goodwill which we never got. I cancelled my email hosting on the 8th and yet they still took payment which I’ve always paid in advance. Recently I had an issue where my website wasn’t working and when I called I was told that websites only last for so long and then need rebuilding and they rang Danielle to check on a quote and she confirmed £2.5k plus VAT then when they so called sorted my website being down they moved me to a different hosting and never changed the IP address so so many things wouldn’t work, I rang the office for Danielle to say ‘we’re closed, email your issues and we’ll look at them tomorrow’ closed? Yet they say they are 24/7 but I was made to wait for an issue that was down to staff not putting the correct information in for my website to keep working. I enquired with a few other website people to be told my website wouldn’t need rebuilding and that just an update and new widget would work. I never leave bad reviews, but I gave this company a lot of my hard earned money to be made to feel like a nobody! If she treats all her customers the way she’s spoken to me I’m surprised they stay. I was once told by Danielle that I wasn’t to include her husband in my emails as he didn’t need to know when I had issues, which raised a reg flag. Kyle I’ve found has always answered my questions and replied to me in a professional manner, it’s just a shame Kyle and Danielle can’t work as a team and be grateful for all customers no matter how much or how little they spend. I always say ‘treat others how you wish to be treated’ I treat all my customers the same, with gratitude and amazing customer service no matter how much or little they spend as without them I wouldn’t have a business. I hope that customer service can improve as like I said when I first moved to you hosting I was happy, but things changed when I cut down how much I spent with you.

Update 16th July 2023 - in response to whoever replied to my review. We had major issues with emails, which went on for almost a week, to which Danielle then said if we were all to have the paid email service you supplied then it wouldn’t happen again. I’ve text messages regarding this and you’ve made me out to lie. Richard rang Danielle whist she was on holiday and without asking what I needed or what was wrong I was quoted £2.5k plus vat and Richard said around £3k and that Danielle said I could pay over 3 months if I couldn’t afford to pay all at once, Richard also informed me that I’d get free hosting for a year if I went ahead.
My point about leaving a negative review was to be honest, and that I have been and the way I’ve been spoken to on the phone in numerous phones calls has made me feel that my money wasn’t good enough.
It’s not how you handle customer satisfaction and if you were more approachable maybe clients would stay with you year after year! I’ve never had so many issues before and issues that were created by black nova because IP address weren’t placed in the correct places on my website. I’ve never left a bad review for anyone before, but I feel that my experience with yourselves needed addressing!

I needed to migrate my business emails from Protonmail to Outlook. BlackNova were recommended to me and I was extremely happy with their responsiveness and ability to get this done quickly. As someone not particularly tech savvy I appreciated their patience with all my daft questions. Highly recommend.

Danielle and all at Black Nova Designs were so amazing to deal with, when creating my new website. They made things easy to understand and stuck to the estimated timescale, meaning I could launch my website on time. Steve added some really cool functions to my website that I hadn't thought about and I am so proud of how it looks now.

Black Nova have been just brilliant with our website! We had an existing website but needed a new one from scratch. They totally understood what we were after when we explained, which meant it went smoothly and efficiently. They have shown us how to update it ourselves, gave us advice when we needed it and answered any questions in a way we understood!
We've now got a website that we love and that functions so well. We've also recommended others to them who now have great sites too!

Email SMTP doesn't work on any port. IMAP can receive, but not send, meaning a config problem. Find certificate is out of date, but this should not stop connections. BND refuse to investigate saying they only guarantee webmail (actually its cPanel who support this), so that's beyond the call of duty and case closed. I've had issues before with companies who are overloaded, but never a straight refusal to even look into a service issue, even if its in a low maintenance platform.

An absolutely amazing experience for my 10 year old son going to a Build a PC day. He was so excited afterwards telling me all about what components he saw, fitted and installed. I would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone with young children to help inspire them and get them interested in tech. Please do an advanced one for older kids (or adults).
