Looking at 36 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many customers expressed dissatisfaction with the high prices, finding the cost of tickets, food, and other services to be excessive and a rip-off. Reviewers frequently encountered issues with the service, including rides constantly breaking down, long queues, and poor organization, which led to a disappointing visit. The quality of the park was also a concern, with many feeling it was run down, dirty, and lacked upgrades, especially given the high entry fees. However, some customers also noted positive experiences with the staff, describing them as friendly, helpful, and amazing, particularly in guest services and medical teams. Additionally, a few other people also felt that certain shows, like the Hot Ice Show, were of high quality and provided excellent entertainment.

Paying for closed rides

We were here on 3rd and 4th October 2022. Absolutely loved the rides we managed to get on, such as The Big One, Icon, Infusion, The Big Dipper, Avalanche, Airbender, Ghost Train, etc. The issue we had is the over-inflated cost, especially considering that MANY of the rides were not operational on the 2 days we paid for entry. Ice Blast, Revolution, the Wallace and Gromit ride and Valhalla, were just a few that were not operational, despite having members of staff standing there at the rides, to turn people away.

Whilst it is undoubtedly fun, it is so expensive, as are the vendors of gifts or food in the park. We tried to buy donuts and ended up waiting several minutes, until we walked away, as the person running the booth was nowhere to be found.

Being off season, the park wasn't busy and there wasn't much queueing required.

The phone app tickets were very footery and if they want us to embrace digitalisation, they need to vastly improve on that.
They also really need to update alot of the rides and provide better cushioning, as we ended up battered, bruised and very sore after the rides, so much so it actually ruined alot of the fun experienced.

We found most of the staff friendly, but we are raging at paying full price when so many rides were closed on both days. I think that is utter theft in broad daylight. Literally around half the rides were closed. A discount should have been given.

If we come back, it'll be for only 1 day, instead of 2, as it's not worth the money, when you're being turned away from so many closed rides.
I also feel I must warn all males about the Steeplechase and Avalanche - you will probably end up with crushed nuts on those rides, especially if sitting behind your other half!

Misrepresentation

Ten of us arrived from the South East and had a brilliant day. The only issue we had is that 4 of us knew of the Valhalla ride and decided to leave it to the end due to the fact that you get very very wet and we believe one of the best rides. Unfortunately it was closed and evidently had been for sometime. Our issue is that the Pleasure Beach is still advertising it which is wrong. This should most definitely be amended.

RACIST Blackpool Pleasure Beach STAFF Harboured a THIEF

RACIST Blackpool Pleasure Beach STAFF who Harboured a THIEF who stole my 17yr old son's cap. We found the thief when the security wasn't even looking for them (after we reported her, with a few witnesses who saw everything).

She ran in to a cafe and had time to hide the cap under her baggy tracksuit. The Cafe staff locked the doors to us and everyone else who were white could still go inside. The security staff were called but they never arrived. I spotted one just casually walking around and called him over. He said I'll talk to her, he did and said 'she said' she hasnt got it.

We saw the cap before she ran in to the cafe (the cafe is on the corner of the Big Dipper). Security said we haven't the authority to search her, he was basically just trying to get rid of us and saying he needs to be somewhere else. He sent me to the Guest services while this scum of a thief was being harboured by the cafe staff inside. She got away with stealing my son's cap. It was an ICON Cap which was given to my son by his sister on his birthday.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR througout from the Blackpool PB Staff. True colours shine out when an incident like this happens. Will be looking to report all this to the Local Police and never go to BPB Again. I hope you all go Bankrupt.

Absolute sh!t hole!!!!!

Absolute sh!te hole!!!!!, full of dust heads and alcoholics from North pier down to the pleasure Beach which definitely was no pleasure, homeless people everywhere begging and shouting at either each other or tourists. Felt quite unsafe in places and definitely and place to avoid.

What a total rip off

What a total rip off. £40 each to enter pleasure beach. Even if you want to walk around. Some of the rides not open. Waiting times were horrendous to get on the rides. We managed to get on 4 rides( £10 a ride). Have to carry phone with you if you have E ticket to scan to get on rides. Why, as you have to scan to get into the pleasure beach anyway. Looked at going to sandcastles too, but when I seen price of £24 each for 3 hrs didn’t bother. Walked along the golden mile, what a dump. Rubbish every where, lots of places shut up, boarded up. Wont be going there again.

A real rip off Britain experience

It used to be an outrage to charge £5 to enter but not ride but now they want to charge you up to £40 just to enter. My wife is over 60 and wants to take the our grandsons to the pleasure beach. She cannot use any of the rides but is still required to have a full price ticket. You can't take in food or drink and have to pay rip off prices for their dirty cafés. Don't waste your money.

No option to enter on a "no ride" basis.

Sad that I cannot enter to just walk about and enjoy the atmosphere. I don't like rides but do remember coming to the park as a kid and I wanted to stroll around (perhaps I would have brought a souvenir or food in the cafe there, who knows?) but I'm not going to pay for a full price ride ticket to do that.

Giving Blackpool a bad name!

Not great… expensive, had to queue for ages, staff at food places are rude, dirty, poor management, worst thing is if your phone dies you can’t go on the rides. All the other places in Blackpool are great this place is giving Blackpool a bad name.

Watch out… physically abused

Was physically abused by a member of staff who threw a bottle at me whilst serving. Other staff member were shocked and said ‘he becomes like that’ what sort of staff do Blackpool pleasure beach employ. Not a nice place. Parents watch out… keep your kids safe. Management will not do anything about it. Many other places you could go to where the staff and management actually care.

5 star reviews are fake

5 star reviews are fake. All written by the owners or staff. Would of given it 0 stars. Its a totally rip off. Was going to take the grandkids but im not paying 160 quid so i can take a 3 and 4 year olds on a couple of rides. Went on the piers instead. They were more happy with the tram ride down to central pier. Theyve ruined a good thing

Recently visited Pleasure beach with my…

Recently visited Pleasure beach with my husband and three grandchildren. My husband and myself did not want to go on rides but had to pay the same price as if we were. The waiting times for rides were so long that the children only had time for three rides at £196 this was approx £22 per ride total rip off. I would not mind paying money if they got value for money. I feel totally ripped off needless to say I will not be visiting again. They need to look at their policy in relation to spectators at least.

Rip off! Expensive and overcrowded so very long wait times.

Traveled from Scotland to come to the pleasure beach for my youngest birthday Tuesday 26th of July. Cost a small fortune to enter, 2 adults and 3 children. It was so packed we were there from 10.30am to 5 pm and only went on 5 rides each. Waited over a hour to get on the infusion, 55 minutes for the big one, 45 minutes for the steeplechase. 45 minutes for the avalanche. Even the little kiddy rides took ages to get on. You can buy a speedy pass per ride to get on quicker but that’s another £7-£10 each FOR ONE RIDE. Seems like they care more about making money than the customers. It was so overcrowded, I won’t be back. Definitely not worth it.

I used to love coming here

Firstly I have been going to the Pleasure Beach since i can remember and the past 30 years we visit at least 3 to 6 times a year. Always loved it. This year I ended up paying £143 approx for 2 adults, a 15 year old and an 11 year old. Got there to be told we have to use the phone to get on each ride which slowed down everything even more so after lunch time. As I'm diabetic I needed to eat I decided to treat everyone to a Burger King only to be told they don't now accept cash. The lady who took the order then had to cancel due to not having my wallet on me was very rude and her attitude was childish. We have to leave the park to find somewhere. Ended up at the velvet coaster. We got back in and the staff were extremely unhappy due to the phone use to get in and people complaining. Felt sorry for them to be honest with the grief they were getting. Eventually we wanted a drink as it was hot and surprise surprise you now have to buy a card to put money on to buy food and drinks. The lady accepted my money to buy a card but to buy food. Moronic. I have the card with a Tenner still on it.. Pointless. I wont be visiting again until things change for the better for the people who visit it.

RIP OFF

I would not try & go back onto the Pleasure Beach if I was paid. Just this wk end we decided to venture onto the Pleasure Beach to pay £5 just to walk round, we haven’t walked round since it was free. We were greeted with a lady telling us it’s £46, it’s absolutely disgusting! 😡 this is spoiling it, what about the people who go with grandparents, they don’t want to go on rides but have to pay £46 each just to take children on, if you go with a family of 3 you’re talking £212 everything is so expensive now in the current climate, how can you justify charging people over 12yr old £46 just to walk round if that’s all they want to do??? Can someone Explain? This could spoil the Pleasure Beach altogether it is just greed.

What a truly fantastic attraction

What a truly fantastic attraction. It has an incredible range of rides, both hi-tech and historic. An amazing array of roller coasters (of which Icon is the best, in my opinion). Some of the world's best dark rides. A great children's theme park (Nickelodeon Land). The food is much better than most theme parks, with a good choice, and some very nice eateries for a theme park (that would put many London venues to shame). Then there are the shows. The Hot Ice Show is the best and is a really uplifting experience and a genuinely spectacular production. There are also two really upmarket 4* hotels on site. I found the staff in all parts of the Pleasure Beach to be friendly and the queues to be shorter than at other theme parks. All in all, I could not fault this attraction.

TOTAL RIP OFF. never visit again.

What a complete rip off did not pay to go in, as enterance charge was extortion, took our grandson but refused to pay what they were asking, you had to pay the full price even if you did not go on anything, Remember the last time we went in about 20 years ago the place was free to enter and it had a fantastick atmosphere and thousands there not any more, think they have killed Blackpool as a resort.
