Charlie, the member of staff was so helpful and polite, it makes you want to return to the store, well done.

As ever great service from the staff. No problems in holding a jacket that came in on the delivery for me. No issues in swapping a Rucksack where I mistakingly picked up the wrong size . Always service with a smile. Almost on first name terms with Dave these days. 😁

We were looking for walking boots today for both myself & my husband. We were very pleased as we had immense help from staff, specifically Charlie, offering advice and answering any of our questions.
After fitting on a few brands, we left with our purchases, & very satisfied with our choice of shoes.

Hollie was professional and helpful, couldn’t find correct size in sale jackets, she checked the delivery boxes and offered me delivery for coat, luckily there was one in the delivery. Great service

Popped into the shop for a few items, was met with a beaming smile & hello from Hollie. I asked her a few questions about the kit I was looking for. Once I’d decided & went to the till (where someone was already being served by another member of staff) Hollie noticed me waiting, stopped what she was doing & came to serve me, again with a smile. Nice to see happy staff doing a great job.

Brought a raincoat, did not ry it on. Got it home and it didn't fit! Returned it the next day and as usual the wonderful staff assisted me to find the right size in record time. No fuss at all and once again I left a very happy camper. Cannot praise them enough for their exemplary service

I went in to Blacks at Bury St Edmunds recently, looking for 2 specific replacement parts for my osprey rucksack, not expecting to find either and to be upsold to another item! Not at all, Jamie and Neil knew exactly what I needed, that one of the items they usually stocked had been sold but found it on the website for me. When they heard that I was flying out on holiday the next day, I was directed towards 3 other camping stores in the town to look for the other item and one of the shops had what I needed. I was so pleased that I returned to Blacks to thank them for their help and purchased several other sale items from them.

Advised by Joe who was wonderful; fully informed and knowledgeable and had the ability to explain and provide explanations so I could understand and make an informed choice. Very happy with my purchases

I was looking for a new pair of walking boots, so went into blacks Bury st Edmunds to see if they had the Meindl Bhutan as I had been advised how good they are. Whist in store I was served by Hollie, who was very polite and helpful, Hollie found the boots and assisted with getting the correct size and fit. I will certainly go back in the future, thank you very much Hollie.

Charlie at Blacks - Bury St Edmunds was extremely helpful, will definitely be going there again to get camping supplies.
We had initially gone in to see if we could get the Berghaus Air 4 tent while it was still in the sale, we asked a member of staff (Charlie) in that section if they had any left, he looked all out the back for us but they had sold out. He found us another one very similar, the Berghaus Air 400 Nightfall and managed to get us an amazing deal on it. Have since put the tent up in the garden to check it over and we love it, extremely happy with our experience and very grateful to Charlie for going above and beyond!

Thanks to Charlie at Bury st Edmund’s branch for his help. He put two sizes of boots to one side so that I could try both pairs on the next day with socks. I rung up initially to see if there was click and collect as I didn’t really want to pay postage and maybe have to send one size back and reorder. He said he had some in stock, put away the two pairs and honoured the online price. Fantastic service from him, I wish all shop assistants were like him it was a pleasure dealing with him.

Very helpful service and advice about choosing a rucksack from Neil. I ended up buying two, in different sizes. I have always had very good shopping experiences at this branch and been delighted with my purchases. Thanks to all the staff.
