I find retail shopping a laborious affair however I wanted to avoid the wait for deliveries and went to Blacks in Shrewsbury and I was surprised... I was assisted by Lee and he was batting my questions with great knowledge and he was passionate regarding product specifications et ceteraI Segway'd through our conversation between products and I finished buying a nice pair of Berghaus trail trainers. We were served by Alex today and he was excellent. He helped our daughter get the gear she needs for her DofE walk and made it stress free. A huge thank you to all the staff who really made things easy for us so we could enjoy our holiday.

Charlotte our sales person was fantastic and the shop layout made things easy to find.

Excellent service by Lee, who went out of his way to help and was most accommodating. His knowledge of the footwear and helpful advice assisted greatly in my decision of which footwear to purchase - thank you.

We went looking for some footwear and our questions about the products were answered fully and in depth by Lee who was welcoming, professional and competent. We then asked about the care and maintenance of our existing boots and were advised with regard to this - it involved buying some further products but they have worked very well. Happy customers :-)

Lee in the Shrewsbury store was extremely helpful and full of great advice.

Been after some walking/hiking boots for ages, been to a few places and took boots back as I do have funny feet and never had the help to find the right ones.
Lee come over with amazing customer service, helped in finding me the right boots. Even helping in saying that the right socks will help woth the problems I have. Come out of blacks with really nice boots and comfy socks 👌 😎

We were greeted as we went into the shop to have a casual look around. Lee, the salesman, asked promptly if he could assist and presented me with shoes which I tried on and purchased. No pressure

Bought another pair of Merrel walking shoes. Looked after nicely by Lee. Sorted the right size and helped with the decision without pressure. Very happy with the shoes and the service. Definitely come back again in future.

All in all very tidy and well organised shop, staff were great Alex and Brad went above and beyond in finding me camping equipment for my needs and uses, both very polite and knowledgeable about the items they sell

I went in for some walking boots and Madeline was very helpful and gave me advice about a pair of north ridge rambler boots, which I ended up purchasing. Brad was also friendly and helpful.

I was shopping for walking shoes and asked for help in the Shrewsbury store. A fella called Lee helped me to find a suitable pair. I have small feet and wide so finding a comfortable pair of walking shoes is always a major task. Lee was fantastic with help and advice. He went off to the store room on a number of occasions for different sizes and different makes of shoe. Thanks to his patience I found a cracking pair of shoes that fit me well. Can't recommend the store for help and advice enough. He also sorted out a discount due to my caravan club membership. Top marks well done.

The staff especially Lee and Mary were extremely helpful . Lee was knowledgeable and experienced and willing to listen and make recommendations . No pressure for sales was exerted .

After a lot of searching went into Blacks in Shrewsbury.
From entrance to leaving the attention to Customer Service was incredible. We had our |Guide Dog puppy with us undergoing her acclimatisation of shopping and she was even made to feel welcome. Served by Josh and his attention to detail, regarding product knowledge , attention to detail when listening, and all with a tad of humour.
Great service, a credit to himself and the company.
I would go so far to say it was Customer Service Excellence at its very best,

Lee offered to help me find a suitable walking shoe. He was most helpful, gave me much information which was lacking in other boot stores. It gave a good impression of Blacks staff training since I noticed other assistants were also greatly experienced in how they greeted people and helped them. I hope to be returning* to the store to see if they have my size when they have more stock.
Hopefully I shall be able to find a comfortable pair of walking shoes.

I have been looking for some new footwear recently, I visited both of the go outdoors branches in Shrewsbury over the weekend, but didn’t make a purchase. I walked into Blacks today and found all of the staff smiling and friendly. I was unsure of which boots I should get but I was pleasantly surprised at the depth of knowledge a member of staff (Lee) had of all the footwear available. I bought a pair of Merrel Accentor 3 after having a well informed chat with Lee and trying various pairs on. I’m very happy with my purchase and I shall be returning to blacks soon to buy a pair of Teva mens sandals when they arrive in the store. Thanks to all the staff and especially Lee for the sound advice.
