Deceptive sales practice after trial…

Deceptive sales practice after trial period. I specifically logged in before my trial ended to cancel the auto renewal feature on my Bloomberg dashboard but it was still auto-renewed. Apparently despite having that feature, YOU NEED TO CONTACT THEIR SUPPORT to have such a simple thing cancelled. If you have been charged a year, too bad you would never get a refund. Not even a pro-rated one because as they say it, this is their terms and conditions.

This is a terrible scam service

This is a terrible scam service. They have you subscribe for a year and then automatically renew at $415 a year. Once you get the bill on the credit card, they say it's too late for a refund until a year later. AVOID!!!!

Legal scam. Don't give them your payment details.

They are taking away my money and there's nothing I can do about it!
They have ripped me off of almost $700!

I have talked to the customer support representative to cancel my $1.99/mo subscription and instead of cancelling it, Bloomberg cancelled the promotion, but kept the regular subscription at $34.99/mo.

WHAT THE HELL? That's flat out scam. I have a proof.

I have lost the access to the email connected with the account AND can't change it via dashboard AND can't cancel the subscription via dashboard AND can't get to their support in any way in.

Extremely frustrated and disappointed with the way Bloomberg does business. Flat out scammers.

It's the worse online subscription Ever

It's the worse online subscription I've ever had.
Can't cancel my digital subscription from auto-renewing."
Clicking on "No thanks, I'll cancel"
Goes to their Help Center page with a message at the bottom of the page:
"If you need further assistance, please “Launch Chat” on the bottom right side of this page." There is not a "Launch Chat" link on the page. A big waste of time getting the runaround.

Update:
I was able to get my cancellation taken care within 24 hours by their contactus email. Would be helpful if that address was easier to find, but am happy my request was met.

Shameful, could have been good.

I subscribe to Bloomberg news. I enjoy the quality analyses and insights from many highly qualified guests, be they investors, CEOs, economists and so on. However, I deplore having the stream constantly cutting out (my internet connection is a reliable 540 mbps and other streaming services such as YouTube or Netflix do not have these interruptions so it's really a Bloomberg issue), and I despise having to endure ADVERTISING on a PAID service, which is the height of cynicism. Also, while you will get interesting views on the market on Bloomberg, forget getting news items delivered in time to make quick trading decisions. I'm talking about jobs reports or other economics data, there is always a delay before Bloomberg announces those. You can guess the news by looking at your price charts before you hear the corresponding news item on Bloomberg. And finally, I have to mention the most irritating background music ever composed, which is played periodically while some various asset prices are displayed. Overall, some good market info but the service is way overpriced considering its low quality. Shame because the journalists/analysts are great and the guests are often highly interesting.

Don't care about their customers, only making money

Do not, do not, do not subscribe to Bloomberg news, as other posters mentioned, it is an unethical company. They rope you in with a discounted introductory price and when the original subscription period is over, they will automatically charge your credit card without absolutely no notification that your subscription is up and your going to be charged $415. I just tried to cancel after seeing the pending charge and was told tough luck, that's what's stated in the terms & conditions. The new subscription period only started yesterday and they still won't allow a cancellation. I've never dealt with a company that handles renewals and cancellations in such a poor manner. STAY CLEAR FROM BLOOMBERG, you'll be sorry if you don't.

Misleading sales

Misleading sales, they charged me even though I didn't use their service. Then you can only cancel if you contact sales, I couldn't log into my account as they have a different bloomberg in every country. I needed to log in over Bloomberg europe. Have not been able to cancel my subscription. Very annoyed

DECEPTIVE SALES PRACTICE

DECEPTIVE SALES PRACTICE.
Subscription confusion and obvious tease.
$1.99/month has an * with no explanation or details. Yet, knowing that a $240 first time billing is not equal to $1.99/month. then a renewal price of $340/year or more. We've all be bit by these tease intro offers only to have to cancel later when we get hit with the real price.

Bloomberg = fraud

I've experienced appalling dishonesty, fraud and ignorance from Bloomberg. They quietly extended my low cost trial subscription that took ridiculously long and re-subscribed me to one at almost $35 without informing me. When I complained they ignored my complaints each time, changed their email address and continue to ignore my complaints. The financial regulator and ombudsman services should really get interested in Bloomberg which I'll ensure happens.

If I could give this company less than…

If I could give this company less than a 1 star, I would. They are the worst company demanding that our firm pay a renewal fee for a membership we have no use for or need. We sent them notification of the cancelation request and they claim they did not receive it.
