The pickup and return of the car were really easy and the car was in great shape: it was clean, it was relatively new and it was all in order.
Pickup took less than 5 minutes and was really close to the airport.

Single downside - but this is Iceland - that it was expensive...

Easy booking and pickup, car was reliable and everything was as advertised.

The booking was very straightforward and clear. Pickup was effortless by grabbing it from the a lock box. The return only took a few minutes by checking if there were any open tickets by the friendly staff.

We had a great experience with Blue Car Rental from start to finish. The booking and pick-up process was quick and very smooth, and we really appreciated the flexibility of the staff — we were able to collect the car around two hours earlier than originally planned without any unnecessary complications.

We also chose the full insurance option, which gave us great peace of mind while travelling around Iceland.

Our Suzuki Vitara, which we quickly nicknamed “Tadek”, became a real member of our travel team. We drove around 2,500 km across Iceland, including plenty of gravel roads, hills and changing weather conditions, and the car never let us down. It was clean, fresh and well prepared when we collected it, and most importantly, it proved completely reliable throughout the whole trip.

The only very minor point for improvement would be the rubber on the rear wiper, which could have been in slightly better condition. Apart from that, the car performed perfectly.

After 2,500 km together, Tadek definitely earned the title of our reliable Icelander. :) Thank you Blue Car Rental for being an important part of an unforgettable trip! Blue Car Rental will definitely be our first choice when we return to Iceland for our next adventure.

The car was not the car have booked several month early. The kia sportage have not the sane specific Of the Toyota rav4 expecially in the gravel road

We thoroughly enjoyed our road trip around Iceland using a car from Blue Car Rental. The explanation provided at pickup was thorough, the price was more affordable than other companies, and the car was in excellent condition. The response was excellent when I contacted them to inform them that my flight was delayed and the rental time needed to be changed.It was also very convenient that we could pick up the car at the airport and drop it off in Reykjavik.

There was good communication before arrival on procedures. However, the staff were very cold and rude upon arrival. Took an hour to leave the rental office only after we managed to find one helpful staff member who fixed the problem with the car. Rest of the rental went well. Returning the car was painless.

Renting from Blue Car Rental in downtown Reykjavik was a breeze! Excellent experience from start to finish. Booking, pick up and drop off were all seamless and our Kia Sportage was fantastic for 4 adult travellers. We got the exact car we had reserved over 6 months prior to our trip. The car was in excellent condition, spotlessly clean, and extremely comfortable for both the driver and passengers. We accidentally received a parking ticket, but it was resolved quickly and we were fully refunded. We chose full insurance, even in July, as we heard it can be really expensive in Iceland if anything happens to a rental car. After extensive research of other car rental companies, we landed on Blue Car Rental hands down. Would highly recommend renting from Blue Car Rental.

Pick up and drop off were both a breeze. Great vehicle, great insurance and roadside assistance. They tried to give me a lower level vehicle after I'd paid, but they changed it back when asked.

We rented a Toyota Echo to do the ring road. Very confortable for two adults and a lot cheaper on gas than a 4 x 4. Booking process very easy and convenient location near the airport. Happy to support an Icelandic company!

From the front desk to receiving the car and until returning it, the service has been fantastic. Staff are very accommodating especially with our predicament during our vacation in Iceland.

The pricing was clearly communicated during the booking process. The hands-free key locker pickup process was very convenient, and the return was fast and easy. My one complaint is that the car received had a decent amount of exterior damage, including some rust spots and large dents and scratches. I made sure to do a full video walk-around of the car to ensure I didn't get billed for any of the damages, but it didn't get questioned upon return, so they must be tracking it pretty well.

While there was a bit of a hiccup during the pick-up of our rental, the staff were very responsive, and sought to remedy the situation with a couple of alternative options before finally identifying the source of the issue and getting everything back on track. Drop off was a super breeze.

We rented a Dacia Duster for 24 days. The booking and the self check-in was extremely easy, and the car was quick to locate.
The car served us perfectly on every leg of the journey. Returning it was also very straightforward.
We highly recommend Blue Car Rental and will certainly book with them again for our next visit to Iceland.
