We’ve just adopted 2 beautiful cats and we can’t thank blue cross enough, they have been really helpful from the start of the adoption process to the end, however it’s not really the end because we know they’re there to guide and support us if we need some. Friendly and professional staff.

I have just adopted 3 Guinea pigs from the Sheffield branch. They were amazing and so kind and professional. They requested photos and sizes of the enclosures the gpigs would be going in, gave detailed information on each gpig I was adopting and worked with me to find the best time to pick them up. They showed they really cared for the gpigs I adopted and shared in my excitement of offering them a new home, expressing their willingness to keep helping with their care when needed such as with bonding and also asked for updates.

We were welcomed by the team, given lots of information and given time to ask questions and we were successful in adopting two beautiful chihuahua pups.
It was a lovely experience, we had time with the pups, given time to make a decision and have access to ongoing support.

We had a fabulous experience adopting two buns from the Blue Cross. From the initial phone call to taking them home was smooth and stress free. The lady (Katie) who dealt with us was knowledgeable and friendly and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

When we applied for this guinea pig his age stated roughly between 9 and 10 months old. Now as much as vets say it's hard to get their exact age. I have massive doubts as soon as I met him but took my son and we were in love and I don't care about his age. I just didn't want to be lied to when it's now been confirmed by two different vets. He is a lot older. He's definitely an older boy and he's definitely over one so I thought oh maybe it's just a little bit over one then.... That's not a bad guess. Even if he was like 4 to 5 months older than what they said he was. She said that she had to go what the Blue Cross said but she did say when she took him out back the nurse said to her this is an old boy!! But she wouldn't tell me a direct age so she couldn't see the back of his teeth and she says it is very hard. She can only roughly estimate this and didn't want to say anything as she knew I had him on the Blue Cross. So I said well. I'm so sad his at least 3 to 4 years old and she said to go with my instinct. I've took him several other places and they have said the same. He's definitely older than what I was told. Now I know it can be so hard to tell the exact age but you can tell with the condition of him. I've had a lot of health problems with him now and we haven't even had him a month. He's cost me an absolute fortune!!! Just in his first month. We're absolutely in love with him and he is now friends with my girls but I'm so worried about him as I've had to make a lot of adaptions as he's an older pig, not around the same age as my girls where I thought they could grow old together. I just don't like being lied to. I even stated he felt awfully thin and I was told that he was between the healthy Mark and the slightly underweight. Mark and I thought this is very strange for a young, healthy, strong male neither I'm to say now that I've spent 100£ on a vet bill this month he keeps walking into things and I was suspecting he was blind but the vet said this is coming in older pigs. It's common in pigs anyway, but for them to do as much as he's done it this month. It's a sign of his old age. Several people who have seen pictures of him have also stated that he's an old pig without me saying!!!! It's pretty obvious looking at him. I'm just going to have a very upset child if something happens to him soon, he's only just joined a family and he was supposed to be 6 months out 6 months in (give or take) guinea pig very unhappy and very sad

The blue cross hertfordshire were so helpful in our recent cat adoption. The application process was really quick, and the team were very responsive to our questions. We've now had our cat 2 months and we love him. We are so grateful to the blue cross!

An experience never to be forgotten. From finding our two beauties on the Bluecross website to going to collect them was very straightforward. The staff were very welcoming & helpful. We've had our two puddycats 6 months now. Their loss our gain. Fabulous 💖

The Blue Cross, Suffolk, helped me find my beautiful cat. The staff are so friendly, with all the advice you need, when rehoming an animal. The animals are completely health checked, before they are homed and you receive a folder of useful information about your animal. I would highly recommend the Blue Cross to anyone that wants to give an animal in need, a home.

Blue Cross Bromsgrove was a very professional yet very caring organisation. I rehomed a lovely whippet cross called Marvin and was supported throughout the process.

The staff - could not have been more helpful both initially when I contacted them about my interest in the 2 chinchillas and then at the centre when we went to collect our 2 chinchillas. The fosterer had problems getting one of the chinchillas into the travelling box so was running late - kept us informed, supplied us with tea and coffee were introduced to one of their own dogs. Felt really well looked after and we've now got 2 beautiful chinchillas in our lives who needed a new home. Win-win.

After looking for a cat for a elderly gentleman who had lost his cat and needed a companion i contacted the blue Cross. I applied for a couple of cats through the adoption process and the gentleman was rang by the team after 48 hours. He was told about the cats they had around a certain age and explained what problems they had etc. It was decided he would have Bailey .
We went to meet him and were explained everything from what to feed him to how to settle him in to his new home and surroundings. We were given some of his cat litter put put in with the new, and a blanket that hed been using. Everything was great from start to finish and now the 2 old men are so happy with each other's company so a big thanks.

We had a very positive experience with the Ipswich Blue Cross from the initial phonecall to collecting our cat and taking her home. There was a lot of information on how to introduce her to living with us. We were also able to buy some secondhand cat litter trays, carrier, etc.

We recently adopted two rats (first time rat owners) from the Ipswich Centre and found the process overall clear and thorough. We had a few calls with them before finalising everything.
Maybe it would be good to offer advice from a specialist (not all the staff knew about rats) for first time owners, as we had done a lot of research ourselves.

I can't thank the Manchester Centre enough for their thorough and thoughtful approach to the adoption process. They ensured that we were the right match for the animals we were adopting and provided us with lots of information on how to care for them. Their dedication to the well-being of the animals is truly admirable and it was clear how deeply they care about each one.
Their passion for educating the public about responsible pet ownership is inspiring and much needed when many large pet outlets provide misinformation. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt supported and confident in this new journey. It was an absolute pleasure working with such a compassionate and knowledgeable team.

We have adopted two rabbits from Blue Cross in the past year. Each time the process was very straightforward but thorough. The rabbits were neutered and vaccinated whilst in Blue Crosses care and checked over by vets. Found all the staff to be very helpful and very caring of all the animals in their care. They make sure that the animals are going to loving homes.

I had a very good interaction with the Burford branch throughout the whole process of adopting Georgie, a senior cat. The response to my application was speedy, I was given a clear explanation of the process, of Georgie's medical issues, character, history of being briefly re-homed unsuccessfully, now being with fosterers, cost of adoption etc. Arranging a convenient time to collect him was made and at the pick up everything was explained again and Hannah very helpful in answering all the questions I had.
Georgie is lovely and seems to have settled well. I think both he and I are equally happy with his now being a 100% part of the household. Thank you Burford Blue Cross.

My experience with Blue Cross was very pleasant from application through to rehoming a lovely cat. The team were so comprehensive when discussing my application, the cats available and everything I needed to know about rehoming, making the experience as hassle-free as possible. Every encounter I had was lovely, and I felt so reassured by the team that they wanted the match between you and the animal to be the best fit for both parties. Thank you, Blue Cross!

We adopted a cat from the Southampton branch of the Blue Cross. The service we received was excellent and the pre adoption process was thorough. Their communication throughout was very good and we now have a beautiful ten year old affectionate cat that has settled in really well and we are delighted now to call her our own. Well done Blue Cross.
