I had Boiler Repairs R Us in a few weeks to fix my nob working Combi boiler.
They were able to fix it and get it running again in a few day due to getting parts.
I was very pleased with the service provided by Boiler Repairs R Us.
Courteous and freindly. For me I would definitely use them again.

Excellent quality of service! The engineer was very efficient and fixed our Grant Boiler. We are super grateful.

Although we feel the diagnosis of the problems with our boiler were reasonable, we were charged triple the amount that they had led us to expect just to put together the quote. We paid whilst we waited for them to contact suppliers about the cost of various parts. This meant our fee just for them to provide a quote to fix the problem was just shy of £600. The quote to then fix the problem was several thousand pounds. And the boiler was in a worse state when they left than when they arrived.

I would advise you to read every single review below (all of which are almost identical)... this is exactly the same experience we have just had. Charged £1600 for something that should have been a quick fix (more than double the original quote he had given), our engineer sat in his van all afternoon waiting for our boiler to drain (we discovered after 3.5 hours of it draining he hadn't even opened the valve fully, by a long way too!!). Got incredibly aggressive and argumentative anytime we asked a question regarding payment terms or the work he was carrying out.

Took 90 minutes to pick up a part from a plumbing supply chain that had a location 7 minutes from our property, and charged well over double what we can clearly see online he would have paid for it.

He also charged for London Congestion (+ VAT!!!). We realised afterwards that if he had indeed taken the route he said he took, he wouldn't have gone into the congestion zone at all.

Incredibly rude, aggressive and downright dodgy company.

STAY AWAY!!! We are reporting to trading standards and if you have used them before, I would recommend doing the same. The amount of reviews here all stating the same thing and the level of fraudulent activity going on is disgusting.

Absolutely horrible service. They fully misdiagnosed my boiler issue and promised us a refund, when we had another gas registered engineer come and show the correct works carried out. Once that was done, they refused to issue the refund. They said 3 parts were needed and were quoting over 1200 for them. These were not the parts needed, and when we went online, we saw they were marking up 3x. Do not use this service. They are full scammers.

Would give them 0 stars if possible. My god how I wish I’d read some of these reviews beforehand because I had the exact same experience. Delays, lies, and dishonesty, then overcharged on absolutely everything. They certainly can’t survive on repeat customers, but I guess you can make a living scamming people until word gets out. When you’re desperate for hot water, you don’t always think straight but if you are smart enough to read this, don’t hire them!

PLEASE READ AND DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
These guys are very good at picking up the phone and reassuring you when things are not going right. The reality is very different, you will end up with an aggressive man in your house all day and you will end up paying him a fortune to sit in his van all day.

When S turned up everything was fine. He is very good at explaining what he's going to do but when your boiler is on the blink you just want it fixed so you don't realise what a rabbit hole you are being led down. It will take him at least an hour to set up and then tell you that you need a power flush (£870) and that you have to pay for that now, and he warns you that as your system is so clogged you might well need another one after that, at the same price. He is very clear that in the 13 years of his work he has never had to do a 3rd... This then takes the best part of 2 hours (he sits in his van), once this has been done he will do a pH test and lo and behold its acidic and therefore you need to do another one - another £870. When I questioned him on when this would stop he guaranteed me (fairly aggressively) that there would not be a 3rd one.
We then questioned him on all the costs as this was starting to become more expensive than a family holiday (no joke) and his aggressiveness moved up a notch. Not a pleasant man. BY this stage we are too far in to ask him to just leave it (we contemplated it more than once) and he was in our house until about 10pm.
We have since had another boilerman out to fix the same issue and was a fairly quick fix (1 hours work), we didn't even contemplate ringing these guys as they would have come out and told us it was a different issue and charged us a load more.
I don't know how these guys sleep at night, but please make sure you are not conned the way we were.

Never showed up for the appointment.

No telephone call to let me know. Nothing.

Had an engineer in who charged over £300 just for fault finding and quoting me for a few replacement parts and additional labour cost of £1500! Harldy been more regretful ever :-(
If I'd gone with that I would still have been left with an old boiler that could develop another fault anytime.

Luckily I got to my senses in time and after extensive research, I got an accredited indipendant gas engineer to install the latest Worcester Bosch boiler for £1500, including a power flush and disposal of the old boiler.

Shame on me for getting tricked. There are honest companies out there who are not hiding their fees

Such a scam! They are full of lies! We should have read the reviews before calling this company.
They came to check our boiler and charged us £300+ just for the diagnostics and recommended a repair over £1600. We have called another company just to sense check and the boiler is fixed less than 10 minutes. When we called them to explain this they have started to question our integrity which they seem to have none!
We will take action against this company as it seems they are doing this to most of the people.
Awful company! Stay away from them.

SHADY AND DISHONESTY ; I call Boiler R US on Monday 24/09/20 for a leaking o boiler, the engineer came on Tuesday the 1/09/20. At the end of his inspection, the engineer collected £75 from my husband for service for a boiler that is leaking profusely, and promise to order the spoilt part and that the company will call us to update us on the amount for the part , After two days of no update from the company, I called to follow up the case, To my surprise the lady i
I spoke with said there is no order made for our boiler on their system, My husband also visited the company to collect receipt for the money paid to the engineer, the lady also repeated that no order has been made by engineer and no entry of the job carried out as well. The lady gave my husband a blank receipt with no date or signature. I called again the third day. the man I spoke with told me that our boiler is rotten and can not be repaired. when I queried why service if it is rotten , he could not give me a satisfactory. answer,I then said I will be taking the matter forward at that stage the man became very angry and hung up the phone . In my opinion ,Boiler R Us transaction is very shady and the company lack honesty and transparency. I can not recommend this company as I do not trust the work they do.

Con artists. Engineer came to repair non firing boiler. He spent an hour, quarter of which was moving his van charged me £176 to tell me needed new PCB / Valves. He could do it for £1663.00. He then argued with me over GDPR legislation and the fact he had to write down full Credit Card details on his pad.

Got another man in after £31 quid to fix two faulty relays on PCB and £70 quid call out charge. Amazing these cowboys still try it on when they know about public reviews. Do yourself a favour use an out of town honest company.

I am contacted about this review more than 5 years later than it was published. Apparently, the ownership of this company has changed and now the new owners or managers are trying to clear their reputation but at the time when they provided their “service” to us, in 2019, it was a real scam company intending not to fix your boiler but rip you off instead by using an hourly rate for just manipulating with the boiler and then wasting the time by calling their providers in order to give you a quote of £1,500 which was simply laughed by another boiler repairer since it was pure rubbish. Unfortunately, the police are not dealing with such fraud in this country. I gave one star in order just to post this review. Avoid at any means.

I called this company to check the boiler and the guy that came took a lot of time to check it because you have to pay them for hour. Anyway he opened the boiler and he said that I had to spend more that £1.000 to change some pieces. I called British Gas next day and basically it was only some switches that needed to turn on.
