Professional & great service

Wonderful company with great service. Mike came round twice to help service all our alarms and get everything up and running on my phone with the cctv. He is really friendly and I most definitely recommend his services. Thanks again

Mike removed my 3 cameras from my old…

Mike removed my 3 cameras from my old house and came today to put them all on my new house. It rained all day but it didn't put him off and he also fitted a camera for my next door neighbour the same day as someone suspicious had been in her garden and she was scared by it.

Had problems with our cctv and thouught we may need to upgrade. Mike is very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. He could have told us we needed a new system but he solved our problem and serviced our burglar alarm for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended 5☆ trader. Wouldn't use anyone else.

Outstanding service.

I recommend Bolton Alarms and rate them highly. Mike responded quickly to my initial enquiry and serviced and repaired my alarms within a couple of days from first contact. He was very patient with my many questions, explaining clearly what the problems were and how the systems worked. It was reassuring to see someone working who knows their trade. If anyone in the area needs help with their alarm I’d advise you to call Bolton Alarms for exceptional service.

A massive THANK YOU to Mike of Bolton…

A massive THANK YOU to Mike of Bolton Alarms who has today gone well beyond the bounds of duty to repair our broken broadband connection. The job turned into hours rather than minutes but he soldered on until the job was complete.

A true professional and gentleman.

We had an alarm system and a door…

We had an alarm system and a door camera fitted on 16/5/24 and until 8 weeks ago have been happy with the whole system. Now we are having problems with the door camera which is not working and I have emailed several times, rang several times , left messages for advice and no one has got back to me.
We were happy with the company and have recommended them to our friends, we were sold the system on the basis of the customer service being very good , but as you can see not being able to contact the company is definitely not good customer service - very frustrating and disappointing.
* Mike has now been in touch with us via his mobile number which we didn’t have and I feel certain that the issue we have can now soon be sorted *

Not impressed

Like several other people I was initially pleased with the installation in 2021. I had it serviced inn2022 and 2023 although each time I had to chase up an appointment. However this year despite many emails and calls the system has not been serviced. One appointment was made but not kept and no explanation given. Finally was told they were very busy and I could have a visit the next day...not possible because I was not at home...I had several times given a selection of dates when I was at home. It was also said that they had not installed the system. There must be 2 Bolton Alarms as my bank statements show 3 payments to that company. I have now contacted another company who are installing a new system. Sorry I went with B A in the first place
Follow up to this. When my new system was being installed it was pointed out that the system from Bolton Alarms had been wired into the back of a ring main socket! The wires were just shoved into the connection and not fixed!! Really shocked by this.

You were a valid customer who was happy for 3 years. We have serviced the system every year. This year we have struggled to align with your busy schedule resulting in this review. Regarding your electrical connection to the alarm, we used the existing mains power wire from your old panel when we updated. We do not go into electrical sockets, that is a job for an electrician. We do apologise for the lack of service this year but appreciate your business as a prior very happy customer

Great Service

Wasn’t sure what to expect after the mixed reviews. We were pleasantly surprised, they arrived on time, were polite and friendly and did a great job installing an alarm and 2 CCTV cameras. We called them a week after installation as we had changed WiFi and they came out and reprogrammed the system at no cost despite this being our fault. Thank you Bolton Alarms.

Stole Money and Blocked

MIKE IS A FRAUD THAT HAS STOLEN MORE THAN 1K. Never in my life have I had to deal with a character and company as fraudulent as Mike's. Mike came to give us a quote for a fire alarm system in a HMO. He was available to start the job in the following days so I paid him the deposit on the same day. As we had yet to sign the contract for the house he assured me that the deposit was refundable. The following day we found we wouldn't be able to put in the alarms due to electrical issues that we had to sort out. I immediately called Mike and told him the issue to which he then pretended to be understanding and told me I would receive back my deposit of £1650 as no materials had been ordered. I also emailed his office right away, as he said to before anything was ordered (the office does not exist). The following day when I tried to call him I discovered I had been blocked for no reason, and he had not returned the money. I tried calling the office number and I had been blocked from that too. This was in the beginning of May and he still hasn't returned THE £ 1650 HE STOLE. My partner then messaged him demanding a refund and he then blocked him claiming we were giving him abuse and that his company needs to deal with it. His excuse is pathetic for saying we were giving abuse, when he blocked me without returning my money and kept denying it. When we searched on companies house we discovered that the only person actually working there is Mike so he was lying about how he is not the one that deals with that stuff and the office is just a virtual address that doesn't actually exist. My friend then tried to contact him and he blocked again refusing to even speak. Follwong all this I finally left a google review so once his company actually started to face damage he responded via email asking me to take the review down and that he will give a refund proving even more how embarrasing he is that he's running his 'company' with such standards. He then shared a terms and conditions which had never been shown to us before and that we never agreed to with the last term, that was obviously just added in a rush so he could send it to us, which said that refunds arent given with last minute cancellations. This does not make sense as we gave him the money the day we met him and cancelled as soon as we discovered we couldn,t proceed and had in writing it was refundable, Mike clearly just didn't want to give back the money. He then claimed his office (the non-existent) one will help deal with this. Since this we've had no contact and he has disabled his google reviews so that people won't see the crime he has committed. IT IS DISGUSTING THAT PEOPLE LIKE MIKE ARE ALLOWED TO RUN BUSINESSES AND SCAM PEOPLE OF THEIR MONEY.

This review is completely fabricated. This individual has proceeded to troll our company over a dispute regarding a cancelled job. The issues is being handled by solicitors. The terms and conditions were set out and were unfortunately not adhered to.

Not great at all because now the warranty will have expired and I have a faulty system.

I'd definitely advise using someone else because there are similar reviews. It's a shame, he seemed a nice guy at the time.

After care

We had cameras installed by Mike he turned up on time and everything was installed well. However we started to have a couple of problems ( nothing too drastic) last year and left numerous messages. To date no response, the most recent call and message left was on 02.05.23 and again no response. Very poor after care.

Update:
Mike contacted us from Bolton Alarms, he apologised for not getting back to us and has today rectified the problem. Thank you

Excellent Service

Having had Mike / Bolton Alarms attend to service our Burglar Alarm last summer, we looked no further when we decided to have our old PIRs replaced and a RING doorbell installed. Mike is both very professional and friendly, and was very happy and patient to lead me through the RING App Set-Up. Somehow the RING doorbell screwdriver ended up in his toolbox and went off with him. Having let him know, he ordered a new one for us immediately and it was delivered within 24 hours. Just a small thing maybe, but further evidence that Bolton Alarms provide a service that is both personal and professional. We would have no hesitation in having Mike undertake further work for us in the future.

Really great service

Really great service. I needed a new alarm system fitted and Bolton Alarms were swift to respond to my request and were accommodating in fitting around my work schedule so it was convenient for me. They also helped me sort an issue I was having with a phone connection whilst they were there. I would definitely recommend Bolton Alarms.
