MIKE IS A FRAUD THAT HAS STOLEN MORE THAN 1K. Never in my life have I had to deal with a character and company as fraudulent as Mike's. Mike came to give us a quote for a fire alarm system in a HMO. He was available to start the job in the following days so I paid him the deposit on the same day. As we had yet to sign the contract for the house he assured me that the deposit was refundable. The following day we found we wouldn't be able to put in the alarms due to electrical issues that we had to sort out. I immediately called Mike and told him the issue to which he then pretended to be understanding and told me I would receive back my deposit of £1650 as no materials had been ordered. I also emailed his office right away, as he said to before anything was ordered (the office does not exist). The following day when I tried to call him I discovered I had been blocked for no reason, and he had not returned the money. I tried calling the office number and I had been blocked from that too. This was in the beginning of May and he still hasn't returned THE £ 1650 HE STOLE. My partner then messaged him demanding a refund and he then blocked him claiming we were giving him abuse and that his company needs to deal with it. His excuse is pathetic for saying we were giving abuse, when he blocked me without returning my money and kept denying it. When we searched on companies house we discovered that the only person actually working there is Mike so he was lying about how he is not the one that deals with that stuff and the office is just a virtual address that doesn't actually exist. My friend then tried to contact him and he blocked again refusing to even speak. Follwong all this I finally left a google review so once his company actually started to face damage he responded via email asking me to take the review down and that he will give a refund proving even more how embarrasing he is that he's running his 'company' with such standards. He then shared a terms and conditions which had never been shown to us before and that we never agreed to with the last term, that was obviously just added in a rush so he could send it to us, which said that refunds arent given with last minute cancellations. This does not make sense as we gave him the money the day we met him and cancelled as soon as we discovered we couldn,t proceed and had in writing it was refundable, Mike clearly just didn't want to give back the money. He then claimed his office (the non-existent) one will help deal with this. Since this we've had no contact and he has disabled his google reviews so that people won't see the crime he has committed. IT IS DISGUSTING THAT PEOPLE LIKE MIKE ARE ALLOWED TO RUN BUSINESSES AND SCAM PEOPLE OF THEIR MONEY.

Really poor after care - non-existent in fact. I had issues with a camera during its warranty period. Tried multiple times to contact Mike, via the phone or WhatsApp - he didn't pick up the phone or respond to the messages. Not great at all because now the warranty will have expired and I have a faulty system.

I'd definitely advise using someone else because there are similar reviews. It's a shame, he seemed a nice guy at the time.

We had cameras installed by Mike he turned up on time and everything was installed well. However we started to have a couple of problems ( nothing too drastic) last year and left numerous messages. To date no response, the most recent call and message left was on 02.05.23 and again no response. Very poor after care.

Mike contacted us from Bolton Alarms, he apologised for not getting back to us and has today rectified the problem. Thank you

Having had Mike / Bolton Alarms attend to service our Burglar Alarm last summer, we looked no further when we decided to have our old PIRs replaced and a RING doorbell installed. Mike is both very professional and friendly, and was very happy and patient to lead me through the RING App Set-Up. Somehow the RING doorbell screwdriver ended up in his toolbox and went off with him. Having let him know, he ordered a new one for us immediately and it was delivered within 24 hours. Just a small thing maybe, but further evidence that Bolton Alarms provide a service that is both personal and professional. We would have no hesitation in having Mike undertake further work for us in the future.

Really great service. I needed a new alarm system fitted and Bolton Alarms were swift to respond to my request and were accommodating in fitting around my work schedule so it was convenient for me. They also helped me sort an issue I was having with a phone connection whilst they were there. I would definitely recommend Bolton Alarms.

Disgusted with this company, this is my truthful review after Mike the owner of the company asked me to take down my last review. Bought an alarm from this company 6 months ago, it’s had so many faults, the first battery fault after just 5 months he sent his apprentice ( lad that was learning) to fix, he sorted the problem, then 2 weeks after I got a comms failure meaning I wasn’t getting messages to my phone, that was the 6th of January, text Mike the owner and booked an appointment for him to fix it, appointment day came and went with a no show, I then contacted Mike asking why he didn’t attend the appointment only to be told he wasn’t putting up with my abuse ???? ABUSE ??? Asking why he didn’t attend an appointment to come and fix my £1010.00 alarm and cctv that I’ve since found out should have cost me no more than £650 to have and install, only to have him block me by phone, text and social media, he now claims it was harassment because his father had died. Sorry for that but your a business charging people thousands of pounds for sub standard alarms and workmanship, I’ve since had a reputable alarm company to look over my alarm and they’re saying in order to apply with my household insurance at least the cameras need to be ripped out and re rooted. Mike had the cable running from my lounge downstairs window running up to the camera, which meant a burglar could easily cut the wires. This company is run by an electrician that turned himself into an alarm engineer in 2019 so not the best for alarm systems, I’ve since reported him to trading standards,

Everything was right from the very beginning- during the survey Mike listened to what we said and then proposed a system which suits our environment and lifestyle
The system is easy to use and we feel properly protected

Had alarm and serviced by them for a few years! Then problem 3 or 4 weeks ago! Tried to contact phone & e-mail. They did speak once on phone and say warning light on system should be OK! Just use it. No more contact with them via phone having left messages!
New company attended Day of phone call and after checking system we had system taken out and A New system fitted . New contract with New Company!!!

From start to finish, Mike was a pleasure to deal with. From initial contact, I explained what I was looking for and Mike provided a solution and arranged installation for the following week.

Arrived on time as promised and completed a neat and tidy job in no time. I had a chrome keypad installed flush to the wall and upgraded my existing wired alarm to a ‘smart’ alarm, keeping the existing wired sensors. Now I can control my alarm with either a key fob or from my mobile which is just what I wanted.

Mike took the time to go through everything post-install to make sure I knew how to work everything and answered all my questions.

Wouldn’t hesitate recommending Mike and Bolton Alarms, thanks again Mike!

We got Bolton Alarms to fit cctv and alarm at our business and at our house. I had a lot of questions & was probably a difficult customer, but Mike responded & did a good job. A few months in and we’ve had no major problems. We had a little blip with business cctv, which turned out to be faulty kit, Mike resolved really quickly. Great service, definitely recommend.

Bolton Alarms was the second quote we sought and was cheaper by 25% with a more detailed explanation and no pressure to purchase.
Mike arrived on the agreed date and completed the installation without fuss. Even though this took longer than planned due to a faulty control panel, which was replaced immediately, Mike did not leave until the installation was working correctly and ensured we fully understood how to operate the system.
In summary, great personal and professional service from Mike and we would wholeheartedly recommend Bolton Alarms.
