Extremely disappointed with…

Extremely disappointed with BookMyShow’s customer service.
I had to miss my movie Dhurandhar due to genuine medical reasons. I contacted customer care within 1–2 hours of booking, still no refund, no reschedule, no flexibility at all.

It took me almost 45 minutes just to connect with customer care, and after all that waiting, the only response was “We cannot help you.”

This is not how you treat customers, especially when the reason is medical. Very rigid policies and absolutely pathetic support.

BookMyShow cares more about money than customer experience. Think twice before booking.

⭐ 1-Star Review: Extremely Disappointing Experience with BookMyShow

I had a terrible experience with BookMyShow recently. I booked tickets for an 18+ movie (Dhurandhar) at PVR Cinemas, and at no point during the booking process did I see any clear or visible pop-up warning that minors are not allowed. Because of this, PVR denied entry to me and my son at the auditorium. It was embarrassing, disappointing for my child, and completely avoidable if BookMyShow had displayed proper age-restriction information clearly.

To make things worse, BookMyShow’s customer support was unhelpful and dismissive. Instead of acknowledging the issue, they simply claimed that a pop-up was shown something I definitely did not see and then refused to provide a refund. Their live chat support was equally frustrating; I waited for almost an hour, and no agent ever connected.

A platform this widely used should prioritize clear communication, transparency, and responsible customer support. Unfortunately, BookMyShow failed on all fronts in this experience.

I hope they improve their booking interface and customer service, but based on this incident, I’m extremely disappointed and will think twice before using BookMyShow again.

Bookmyshow scam

BookMyShow is completely unprofessional.
They changed my DJ Snake event date from 3rd Oct 2025 to Feb 2026 without informing me — and then refused my refund. This is absolutely unacceptable.

I have every screenshot to prove how they mishandled this.
You can’t take customers’ money, change dates whenever you want, and then deny refunds. This looks like a straight-up scam.

I’m escalating this and posting this experience everywhere so people know how BookMyShow treats paying customers.

No E-tickts in the 21st Century? Asks a group to arrive together to collect tickets at the door for a movie!

Bought 7 x tickets for our Group on line, charged us for internet services but have no E-tickets, and did not mention this anywhere during the online sale. When I emailed their help, I was informed we needed to have the credit card holder pick up the physical tickets at the cinema,15-20 mins before show.
I can't send the group their tickets,and if I, or they arrive at different times, how does the ticket collection and entry to cinema work? I asked via 4xemails how customers may do this. Sanmesh of Customer Experience at 'Book my show' didn't respond to anything I asked and instead, closed the email thread, 'RESOLVED' and directed me to read their emails. It seems they considered, responding with no solution, equal to having 'answered my questions'!!

Extremely Disappointed

Extremely Disappointed – Unprofessional and Ridiculous Response
I had booked on Friday, and on Saturday I was completely unwell and even hospitalised due to a severe stomach upset. I informed the café the same morning that I wouldn’t be able to come, and the staff clearly agreed and told me to contact BookMyShow for a refund.

After waiting for ONE FULL WEEK, now they’re suddenly saying the refund is denied. What kind of service is this? When it’s an emergency and the booking wasn’t even used, a refund is basic courtesy. Then why ask customers to do advance booking if you can’t handle situations like this?

This whole experience was completely ridiculous and unprofessional. Definitely not expected from a place that claims to care about customers. I will make sure others know how badly you handle genuine issues.

Dont buy through online platform

Dont buy through online platform. I bought ticket for my relatives and just 2 hours back i get a call from INOX that the movie cannot be played because of technical glitch caller number 9220825900. although they assured for refund but till now I didnt get any SMS for mail. I am chasing INOX Guys but no one is picking the phone. Is this some kind of SCAM.

I have booked Dev Diwali Celebration…

I have booked Dev Diwali Celebration boat cruise at Varanasi did 5th November. What a ridiculous and pathetic arrangement. The contact no being given by helpless Help Centre was not working. Once we reached at Ghar for boarding no sign board as which boat to get in. Once we gopglout by asking so many helpless people over there , finally got hold of one guy. Now even after waiting for one hour, no clarity whether they will start sailing or nkt.
If u want to spoil your beautiful day , then book this on Bookmyshow.com. they will make sure that you will have nightmares.

⭐☆☆☆☆ If I could give 0 stars, I would

BookMyShow is hands down one of the most useless, infuriating apps I’ve ever dealt with. For Sri Lankan users, it’s a complete joke — you can’t remove your saved card, can’t delete your account, and when you contact customer service, they reply like robots who don’t even read what you’ve written. They just throw random instructions that don’t exist in the app, wasting your time and patience.

It’s beyond frustrating — it’s pure negligence. How can a company hold your personal details hostage like that and call it customer service? I’m done. I want my account deleted, my card gone, and I will never use this app again. Absolute garbage service. Fix your system before calling yourself a global platform.

I booked Tickets via book my show on…

I booked Tickets for 'Kantara' movie via 'book my show' on 3rd act 2025. It got booked to other language by mistake. I cancelled immediately within 2 minutes to book new one. I had paid Rs.2500 for 3 ticket but I received only 1600 refund. They charged almost Rs.1000 for cancellation. What type of cheating business is this. 1000rs is very high for middle class family. THIRD CLASS BOOK MY SHOW.

My movie ticket was not getting cancelled and they did little to help. They kept saying the ticket that is raised will be shared via email and also the status with it. I got nothing. I did get the link to share my feedback, which was fast. How deplorable this app is?! Maybe I should refrain from using this app from now on who has been using it more than 10 years.

SECOND TIME using pink moon 🌙

This is the second time I have used pink moon at a festival. Leeds 2024 , Bestival 2025, and soon be Leeds 2025 in a few weeks.

They offer exactly what it says they do. Clean showers and toilets. They are cleaned Very often.
Staff are always around to help with anything from extra pillows to advice on anything.

The coffee and breakfast/ all day food truck is perfect for when you need to fuel the tank ready for the day; and the prices are much more reasonable than the arena. IYKYK

The tents are idyllic. The beds are nice and warm with fitted sheets and extra throw for when the temp drops in the night. The light, table stand and carpet make it really cosy in the night when you're all tucked up and chatting about the days events. They also provide towels which I forgot about this year!!

Overall I would say the price you pay for a stay woth pink mood is absolutely worth it. As long as pink moon are at any festival I will be using and recommending them.

Their standards are the highest and most consistent I've seen in a long time..... NICE ONE! Will they be as good this year in Leeds 2025..... we shall see!!

I had booked a movie ticket via…

I had booked a movie ticket via @BookMyShow on 28th June 2025 around 1:00 PM for a show scheduled on 29th June 2025 at 1:00 PM. However, I cancelled the ticket the same day (28th June) at approximately 8:45 PM, which is well before the 4-hour prior cancellation window.

To my surprise, @BookMyShow deducted ₹190 from the total booking amount of ₹430.80 as cancellation and convenience charges. There was no clear breakdown or transparent policy shown at the time of booking or cancellation regarding how such a significant amount would be deducted.

This kind of unjustified deduction feels like a digital scam being carried out under the name of convenience. If this is happening to every common citizen, it’s a serious concern. It’s not just about ₹190, it’s about millions being unfairly charged in the name of cancellation policies without proper transparency.

Unreliable Service

Unreliable Service – No Accountability

Had a terrible experience with BookMyShow.lk. We booked movie tickets through their platform and received confirmation, but when we arrived at the cinema, it was completely closed. No alert, no cancellation message — absolutely nothing. We contacted the cinema directly, and they said the show was canceled and the money would be refunded, but till now, no refund has been processed.
