Everything explained clearly, but different audiologist on each visit, would have been nice for continuity.Had to explain why I was attending ,the visit was to pick up hearing aids.

I have had the best experience…
I have had the best experience possible. I didn't know what to expect but from the very start everything was explained in such detail by the audiologist.
From Choosing the right hearing aid, fitting and the after care has been 5 star. To be honest I wasn't expecting so much support

worst service i have ever experienced
had a 9am appointment for hearing test. went in to opticians where they took my name and told me to take a seat this was 9am. At 9:25 i asked same staff if i would be waiting much longer and was told i should have gone around the corner for hearing test. I asked had she not noticed me sat for 25 minutes which she replied i thought you come back ?? I went around to the hearing section where i sat for another 15 minutes nobody came out to see me and nobody from the opticians went to speak to them to explain the situation.
I went back to opticians and said cancel my appointment i can’t believe nobody have even acknowledged i was there or apologised for the very bad customer service to which the staff members only reply was shall i reschedule for you. 3 members of staff all ignorant with no customer skills. i won’t be back

Better hearing
Nothing was too much trouble.i came out of my appointment happy .I am now experiencing better hearing ,but still have to get used to the new hearing aids .also being able to hold a proper conversation on the phone is so good x
Not worth your effort
Not worth your time if you would like an ear examination. We visited the Newport, South Wales branch and found the consultant (Abi) dismissive and unhelpful, unless there was a sale at the end of it for hearing aids. It seems Boots have a ruse of getting you in for the 'examination' (about 20 seconds long) and the consultants are untrained. It is probably best to look elsewhere.
(It's strange, subsequent to the above, Boots replied on here saying they had already 'reached out' to us about this but we had no correspondence at all from them. Then below they have deleted this 'reached out' message and now ask for our contact details? Odd

A very through review of my hearing…
A very through review of my hearing needs. All aspects covered and options discussed .Everything was explained with no pressure.
Caragh
Caragh, the audiologist, made be feel at ease immediately, and gave full details of every step of the way during my hearing test. After the test she let me go for a 15 minute walk with a pair of the hearing aids on, to see what difference this made in normal conditions. then gave details of hearing aids that was available and let me decide which I thought i could afford. I had a previous hearing test with a well known opticians a few weeks before and their hearing test was no where near as comprehensive as the one carried out by Caragh.

My wife had a hearing aid last week…
My wife had a hearing aid last week which boots took full payment for as they said there was no interest free credit. I questioned this that evening and they said a mistake had been made and another appointment was made to rectify the error. My wife returned to the store and the same member of staff has now taken to much deposit which does not balance with the credit agreement. It is now two days since I was told I would have a phone call from a senior staff member which has not happened. We have paid £2636.50 for a £2315.00 aid with no refund as yet.
If you use them, take an accountant with you as our experience shows they try to scam you.
