Hearing Test
Audiologist was extremely polite and very competent, listening to my concerns and answering questions thoroughly. When she was unsure of an answer sought advice from a colleague and provided a satisfactory response. I was totally reassured throughout the experience.
Very thorough and informative
Very thorough and informative. The lady that performed the test was extremely lovely and helpful with my Mum and made her feel at ease.
My three visits before I purchased my earing aids was very helpful. .
The person I saw on each visit was the same man, which was helpful as each visit was less dauting.

Why was my original review not posted. It was damming
Why was my original review not published on trust pilot about three months ago? It was damming. I came out of hospital in December latter a successful tripe A operation, thanked the surgeon the next day and knew nothing for three weeks. I had to be resuscitated, had a heart attack, was ventilated for two sessions, had a dissected aorta and other less serious complaints!’ Seventeen days in intensive care affected my hearing and mind. These are possible side effects for the operation. When I had recovered enough I looked into hearing aids as my hearing was suddenly very poor. “Which rather Boots and Specsavers about equal and I chose Boots. Very big mistake. In two Boots hearing shops the advisers were unable to communicate in a satisfactory manner (Southend and Basildon). I bought from Southend at four thousand five hundred and after two weeks had to return to have them altered ( the advisor was unable to link them properly on the I-phone. He said they would have to be returned to head office and it would take ten days. I broke down ( still very vulnerable from the operation - in fact writing this still brings it all back). I said surely they could be couriered- but know. We had to leave as I could take no more. I later phoned head office and spoke to three different people who were increasingly unhelpful. I broke down again. My wife had to make the call the next day. Eventually the aids were returned but were still no use. I reclaimed my money and went to Specsavers in Southend. What a difference! Advisors who would listen and who could talk. After two small adjustments they were perfect . Two other things: I was told by Boots that I needed a hand held receiver that you pointed at people in a noisy environment. That part of the deal cost a grand! In the 21st century do you do that?? At Specsavers everything is in the app, all is explained clearly and even I ( at eighty) had no problem! The final thing?: they cost seventeen hundred pounds less. I have informed “ Which” as Boots appears to get mostly good reviews. Sorry for the long post but I feel it is important that people find out that all is not necessarily well and they are being overcharged. Good luck if you are buying but beware! Chris. ( the date I have had to put in may not be exact as I did not keep a record of my first post.
