I am so impressed...
Extraordinarily thorough examination. Even moulds made of my ears to make sure that the hearing aid fits perfectly. I am so impressed! Mrs M P
Anjum Malik advised about hearing loss.
Hello, I received very correct and precise advice from your audiologist, Saima sheikh, and a hearing prescription designed for me without her advice and my hearing tests I would not have known how my hearing loss is affecting me. Thankyou Anjum Malik.

Unfortunately not a great experience …
I’m afraid I’ve not had a great experience with Boots hearing care service. I went to Boots because I use the opticians service which to date has been fine. Firstly I had challenges of making an appointment at a convenient time for someone who works full time. More importantly though the whole experience felt more like a poor sales experience rather than providing medical advice and guidance requiring a purchase. This was my first hearing aid purchase. There was a lack of products to see - just descriptions written on a piece of paper. I still don’t know if the colour suggested was right it was mentioned as an afterthought. Also you have to spend nearly as much on one hearing aid as two. I have come away from my appointment feeling like the audiologist was more interested in his sales targets and his next appointment or lunch rather than my needs and concerns. Hearing aids are costly (can be up to 2k for one) and the experience should be better than the one I have had.

I cannot find any difference in my hearing with the aids and I’ve been at 2 noisy parties which were just as noisy as ever - I’ve been wearing the aids for 10 days

Excellent
Excellent service the test was carried out in a very professional manner. Over the past ten years I have had many a hearing test from the firm I worked for (railway)
And this was one of the best.
Appointment is on time
New hearing aids
My first consultation was to provide a hearing test after removing a lot of wax from both ears
The 2nd one was a test plus look at options for devices
Its so expensive but what can you do if the NHS device is not working
on initial hearing test in Wimbledon it…
on initial hearing test in Wimbledon it was mentioned that there was a build-up of ear wax. Not advised that this would in any way affect the new aids. Fitted on next appt. and next day awful squealing and unable to wear them. Appt. made at Kingston same day and advised that it was ear wax, so don't wear them and apply Otex until it clears. Feel I should have been advised to get this done before I bought the aids.
Am now without them - shall I need another ear test once the wax is cleared? Not happy

It was a new experience. I was surprised at the cost, but then I did choose the more expensive product,
Lack of options in the hearing aid…
Lack of options in the hearing aid price range.
Lack of proper technical clarification about the suitability of a pricier model over something simpler one for someone staying mostly at home.
