Taxi didn’t show. Booked well in advance. Checked app and taxi was on its way but then driver changed 4 times. Then didnt show. As we had somewhere to be we cancelled and ended up driving. Can’t contact the head office as it says download the app. Very poor service won’t be using again

. I booked a taxi a couple hours ago from a restaurant in Stockton to Cumberland Road in Middlesborough. The driver proceeds to drop me off a good 10 minutes away from the address, which mind you could have taken him less than 2 minutes to get there. He didn't drop me off at the address, he asked if I was fine getting dropped off here. Keep in mind that I have been to this place once and all the houses looked pretty familiar at glance and it didn't occur to me that he would drop me off at some random 'nearby' street. I expected maybe close by so I could walk some of the distance. But no. I am not familiar with Middlesborough at all and I am there, by myself in the dark walking. What was the point. I don't understand how difficult it must be. So please sort your staff out on that note. Secondly, he didn't offer me the change: it was less than £1 I am sure but I work in the restaurant, and one similarity between the hospitality and catering business and taxi businesses is that we handle money. I have (and every place I know of) been trained to give change, even if it is 1p. You have to. It is up to the customer to decide whether they want the change or not. It's not even something you need to be trained on you have to give the change unless the customer does not want it. It's basic knowledge. I paid the guy £10 and he didn't give me the change or even take me to the location. So really, if you think about it. I lost money on that as first he didn't take me to the exact location, so the mileage was less and my fare should have theoretically been cheaper, and he didn't offer the change as the fare was less than £10.
I work for that money, not to sound greedy but why should I have lost some of that to such an inadequate service. You need to take your customers from A to B. To mention again. I AM NOT FROM MIDDLESBOROUGH AND I HAVE BEEN TO THE HOUSE ONCE. How was I to know?
These are such basic things that your drivers cannot get right. It is just sad.
I will be posting this on as many places as I can, because it needs to be seen for action to be taken, not just for this driver. The basic rules must be reiterated as one driver reflects on your whole business. The person I had spoken to was very understanding. I was upset about it as I had an intense shift at work, and for that to happen made everything worse.
I will note taxis do come quick which isn't really a surprise as all taxis do. The people who answer the phone actually know how to do there job and were very professional.
Looking at all the reviews this place has, seems like I am not the only one.

Booked a cab via their 'App' for and 6am taxi to the train station. I got a phone call 1 minute before I was supposed to be picked-up to tell me that they couldn't complete the fare.

Charged for a taxi which didn't arrive
Paid for a taxi through the app which didn't turn up or was taken by someone else. Either way I was billed and have not received a refund despite being told we would. Don't trust them!
Terrible
Terrible. Booked a minibus for an airport run 3 days prior to travel. Received a phone call on the day 5 minutes after the departure time asking how many people and bags did we have, when I told him the driver hung up. Luckily we had a car to jump in to and drive to the airport, although it ended up costing a lot more we still made it in time. Will not be using this company again.

I Walked in the end I can't fathom the app I tried working it out later, the code sent to my phone didn't work so I got a code by email but I have to come out of the app to read the email then when I start the app it wants my email to send a code again
What a dreadful rude company
What a dreadful company. I had to travel all the way from Yorkshire on the train to visit the hospital in Middlesbrough with a fracture. I used the hospital free phone to call for a taxi back to the station. I didn't even get a " Hello." Just a "We're very busy you'll have to phone later" and the phone was slammed down. I suggest they put their office staff through a customer care course. I'm amazed anybody uses them. They are not helping to put Middlesbrough in a positive light.
Don't use
Don't use this taxi service if you want help with your shopping or heavy bags. Drivers will happily sit in the cab and leave you to load and unload even if its pouring with rain and you're managing a buggy too. They will do this regardless of if you use the app to put a note on saying you need help. Today was the last straw when I asked for help and was told that I was "spending too much money again" simply because I had done a big shop to feed my family over half term and he had to help me carry the bags two metres to my door. A lot of drivers display a similar misogynistic attitude. If you're a woman/girl travelling alone also expect to deal with drivers hitting on you, making inappropriate comments and asking very personal and intrusive questions. I have had to change my details on the app to "Mrs" because of this and even then it still happens. I only use this service because there is no other in my local area.
Terrible
Shocking service never turned up even though we booked it on the app! We were very late for a family celebration! Even told us it was on its way what a bad service glad it wasn’t needed for an emergency!

Rude, hostile and abrupt when confronted
They refused to admit they were wrong over £2 and barred us from using them anymore. I would never want to use them again after this and will be telling everyone I know not to either

Sick of this taxi service, it use to be decent about 10 years ago but now they're just totally unprofessional. I booked a taxi on the app, it gets accepted and you can see your driver on the way. They then cancel the booking, when I've been sat waiting to be picked up. This isn't the first time this happened. The worst taxi service in Teesside by a country mile. I booked another and someone picked it up for that to then change to someone else who was at another job!! I booked this taxi at 4 minutes past 1 to be told taxi was due for 1.15pm for multiple cancellations and a driver turning up at 1.35pm.... felt sorry for the driver but at that point I'd missed my son's pantomime. By the time I got there and walked upto the hall id of missed it. Absolutely useless taxi service.

Hi it’s mr g rose l booked a return taxi from James cook hospital for 16 30pm yes we were late as it was a longer walk due to north end been shut off the attitude from one of your drivers was disgraceful he needs to remember it’s people like me pay is wages l use Boro taxi a lot but not any more driver needs to show some respect as l was visiting my dad who s been very poorly it’s tresful enough with out him mouthing off

Used app.Taxi arrived on time, however upon arrival to destination, only then does the driver announce cash only!! (A little communication at pick up would have helped!)
Taxi fayre £11.00. Had £10 cash. Wouldnt let me off with a measly £1, even though I've driven same journey & know the fuel used is no more than £1.00 for same journey!! Bout time Taxi drivers carried chip n pin machines if they expect EXACT amount in this day & age - had to faff about taking driver's bank details to do a bank transfer from the back seat. Hope driver's happy that he wasted time off the next pick up all for a measly £1!!!
