I’ve owned 3 sets of Bose headphones and 2 smart speakers. All have had problems. My latest — the QC Ultra — connects via Bluetooth but frequently plays no sound. Only a cable plug/unplug resets it temporarily. Firmware 1.6.7. No support in Indonesia. Never buying Bose again.

Should've read reviews before purchasing. Used to be a great brand but clearing the product quality has gone down. Purchased the QC earbuds. Within a year the left earbud began emitting little to no sound. Reach out to support, they offer an upgrade replacement pair at no cost. Sounds awesome. Replacement pair has the same issue within just a couple months. Reach out again and ask to return and be refunded. I'm told they can only offer a refund after I've attempted three replacement pairs... Weird policy but fine. Now on my fourth pair of these earbuds and the same issue continues to arise. Reach out again for this refund I was promised and am told they can only offer further replacements since the original purchase was through a retailer, not directly from Bose. Not sure why I was told a refund would be possible in the first place. And now it's not like I could even go back to the original retailer, Bose has sent me multiple new pairs of earbuds since the original purchase. So now I'm out hundreds of dollars for a faulty product that Bose refuses to take responsibility for. All they can do is offer to send more faulty products. Avoid Bose, overpriced and don't last. They're bound to go under eventually.

I have put so much time and effort into making the quiet comfort headphones work, so many constant problems. They have been such a let down. Have failed me during plane flights and stuff so frustrating. One or both of the pods is constantly crashing, the base and pods have to be fully charged, the base must be plugged in to factory reset. It's so trash.

Good overall quality of aviation headsets. While the initial cost is quite high, these headsets are the best in the market and trusted by many in the industry.
I recently had an issue with my headset while it was still under warranty. Bose directed me to a trusted third-party repair company, but after a month of waiting with no parts sent to them, I raised a complaint. To be fair to Bose, they honoured it and sent me a brand new headset, which was appreciated.
Ideally, they wouldn’t use third-party repair agents during the warranty period, I’d expect the manufacturer to handle issues directly, especially at this price point. Even if it means posting abroad for repair.
Also had trouble with their phone number, which didn’t connect, though the online chat feature was very good and helped move things forward.
Bose used to be a 5-star company
Bose used to be a 5-star company, but now, with their attempts to position themselves as a trendy brand, they've plummeted to a 1-star experience. The sound quality of the QC Ultra headphones ($429) is absolutely atrocious, and the customer service is equally disappointing, with a dismissive attitude that suggests they believe their products are beyond critique.
The materials feel cheap, the sound is subpar, and the hissing noise canceling is unacceptable. It's clear that many reviews are artificially inflated by those who only care about workout sound quality, rather than true audiophilic standards. Bose has lost all credibility.
It's time for Bose to stop being so arrogant and bring in actual sound designers and audiophiles to revamp their R&D teams. They also need to engage with unbiased focus groups to get honest feedback. This is not just a suggestion—it's a necessity for regaining trust.
Terrible Service
I placed an order for some earbud accessories at the beginning of February. 2 days later I received a refund email from their finance department as my order had been cancelled. Worked out by going back on their website the product was out of stock - fine. Yesterday (end of April) I receive a dispatch notification from UPS to let me know my Bose order is out for delivery - I'm thinking "what order". Lo and behold the accessories are now in stock so Bose has resurrected my order, charged my credit card (with no further authorisation) and sent them out - no communication prior to this. I contacted the customer service to request they cancel the order - they refused as they have been dispatched and I can just return them (hassle for me) - after threatening to report their charge on my credit card as erroneous, they have offered to refund me the cost once I receive the product - absolutely terrible customer service. Beware, they keep your credit card details and replace orders without your permission!!
Scam
2 earbuds expensive ones, same issues. Tested with different brand no problem. Asked for replacement and UPS lost the package. Bose does nothing and goes around with excuses postponing solution. $400 for the garbage. I will stay away from Bose from now on.
Bad customer service
Asked for customer service for replacement ear cushions that had become detached from the adhesive after less than 6 months of use. Customer service said in the first conversation that the cushions were in stock and they would send them quickly, but after waiting more than 6 weeks they said we do not have them in stock, you should go to the reseller.
What a responsible and helpful customer service :-|
My Bose sport earbuds slowly got…
My Bose sport earbuds slowly got quieter and quieter to the point where I could bearley hear anything. Did the useual reset suggested but no good. The best bose could do was offer me £10 off a new pair. 2 years old and ready for the bin. I have bought a substantially cheaper pair and will not buy Bose again as there is no repair service and the product is not that good.

I have always bought Bose because of the excellent sound quality. Unfortunately, like many companies now, they have introduced an app that simply doesn’t work and has never been able to connect to my headphones. The irritation is exacerbated by the usual inane message telling you to try later.
Bose connectivity is an incurable sickness
I have wave soundtouch and soundtouch 20 at home. Always always having connectivity issues from day one. The Bose apps have huge problem to recognise the speakers. My home nbn wifi is on 250mb/s, signal is strong and stable. You have to do a lot of manipulations such as completely restart device, reinstall apps etc etc. The trouble is all the efforts did not guarantee you the expected lucky results. Extremely frustrating. Frustrating to the stage you just want to smash all my Bose devices altogether.
Awful customer service
My Quite Confort 2 stopped working. Returned for a replacement and 8 weeks later no replacement. Customer service says it has been escalated and nothing at all. Zero comms. Online customer can action nothing after 5 attempts. Avoid this brand. Used to be great but now awful. Escalation number 298940323

Bose QC earbuds are just an expensive earplugs
My Bose QC earbuds have not been working well since I've purchased them. Here is a list of issues that I have observed in my 5 months of use:
1) One or both earbuds sometimes do not turn on when placed in ears
2) The touch sensor are either too sensitive or completely insensitive
3) The rubber stability bands are flaky and come off easily
4) The quality of noise canceling is not so good
In conclusion, Bose QC earbuds are just an expensive earplugs
Planned obsolescence after warranty expires
Planned obsolescence after warranty? My Bose QC earbuds failed after about 2.5 years of taking good care of them. Red and white flashing lights, indicating "internal fault". Chatted with Bose, did all the troubleshooting, they said they are irreparable but could give no reason why this would happen. Support offered me a new pair to PURCHASE at a discount. Said no thanks, looked online to see what others say about these (should have done that before buying). HUNDREDS of people have reported this same exact issue, at this same exact timing, with the same exact non-response from Bose. It is at best a faulty product with serious quality control issues, or at worst a scam by Bose designing these to fail in a mysterious way just after the warranty expires. My whole family have been regular Bose customers for many years, but their quality is degrading. Also, they refuse to take responsibility for a clearly faulty product line. We will be changing brands.
QC Ultra Terrible Workout Earbuds
I have the QC Ultra earbuds. They are the worst workout headphones I've ever owned. The slightest touch interrupts playback. You cannot disable this in their app. I emailed Bose and they admitted it's a problem but they have no plans to fix it.

Let me first start of by saying I am not slating Bose products, their headphones are great, but pray you never encounter a problem as it's quite a common theme searching online that customer service is severely lacking with this company...... I had faulty quiet comfort 2 earbuds , the right one wont charge. I filled a form out online and they agreed to upgrade them free for ultra ones as mines were less than a year old...
Im from UK and live in a remote part of Scotland so cannot use UPS (their courier)
I checked with their Whatsapp team if I could use Royal Mail, they advised yes as long as its tracked & supply them with the tracking no and I cover postage...
Followed all of this but low and behold the warehouse never received it (quite a common issue apparently) I provided proof of postage, proof of delivery, proof of address it was sent to.
Kept repeating myself to about 5 different agents who kept stating it was delivered to Northampton Delivery office. After 2 days of back and forward they finally understood that it was sent BY Northampton DO not delivered TO. Quite simple really but when customer service cant even get something like that right then there's not much hope ...
After spending hours and hours on this they agreed to escalate it. Was told wait 4 days and contact us if you dont hear anything .....
Yup you guessed it contacted them again got cut off by an agent and was told the wrong info , next agent told me to wait another 3 - 4 days so brushed off yet again..
Sent message on messenger earlier hoping someone could help but told me the same just wait..... Its just so bad you could not make this up. All because of their faulty product. (Never had earbuds fail less than a year from other brands)
My advice is they have good products but only buy if you don't need customer service ever as you wont get it with Bose.
Like the comment below BOSE YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED . Drafting an email to Trading Standards for my next steps and may have to go to small claims court as Royal mail have provided everything and are adamant it was delivered. I feel your pain everyone 😤
Save yourself the hassle and get another brand from Amazon they are much much easier to deal with .....
