If I could give 0 starts I would...so unprofessional I have no words. We called to book them almost a month before our move date, they confirmed they have a slot available for us to move on that day. In few days they finally sent us an estimate and we have booked the virtual walk through so they can give us an official quote. The virtual walk was set up over a week after, so it's been already almost a two weeks process to this point. After that, we have waited another 3 days to get a quote that was more than triple what they estimated...crazy, and also unprofessional. I've called them same day but our case agent Marilyn Webster wasn't even in the office so they couldn't help me. I've emailed and waited another day. Next day I got an email from her asking if we have some flexibility with the date because they are super busy...which was weird because we have already agreed on the date but I called right away to discuss. It turned out our date is no longer available and the only date they have is a week earlier, so I agreed to that only to get an email after we hung up that unfortunately while we were on the phone someone else has booked it...now they only have dates available a week after we need to exit our rental so of course not possible for us. The whole situation is so ridiculous I don't even comprehend...I don't know if this Marilyn is so clueless about her job or just stupid...probably both but she is a Senior Account Manager so be aware... The whole process of moving from rental to first buy is stressful enough in London, with all the paper work needed and stuff to be sort out - you would think booking a "worry free" moving company would give you a break, but then it turns out they don't know how to use calendar...well, thinking is hard, especially if you don't own a brain - hire smarter people Bournes.

Overall, this move went well. On time and swiftly done. The packing was thorough as before but a broken button back chair leg and broken picture glass left me with the impression this crew were quite not as careful as the first one in early 2024.
That said, each member was courteous and very helpful making sure each item was in the place we designated. When something needed moving to a different place, no problem. It was done immediately.
These breakages happen and we would be happy to use and recommend Bournes again.

We have just used Bournes Aylesbury to move house and what a great decision it was.
From the quote through to the move all communications were great, perfectly clear and helpful. Nothing was to much.
On the day the team were superb, made our lives so much easier and less stressful. They turned up bang on time (8am) and had a three bed house, garage and sheds cleared in less that 3 hours, leaving us plenty of time to clean etc for the new owners.
At the new property the team swiftly unpacked all into the correct rooms and to exactly how we asked then to do it.
We could not recommend Bournes highly enough and we will most certainly use again should we need to.

A great team who arrived promptly, were considerate & polite. Did a great job of packing, communicated throughout & were incredibly efficient. Would highly recommend.

The removal team turned up on time. They were very friendly and helpful. They did not show any frustration when the kitchen table wouldn’t go through the doorway or when the large sofa wouldn’t fit through another doorway. Loading was carefully carried out and nothing was left behind. Offloading was very efficient and the whole process took less than 6 hours.

From start to finish Bournes we're amazing. Tom, who came to provide the quote was so professional. He even used his tablet to google the property and get an idea of the area for parking and access.
On the day Matthew and Tony arrived on time and cracked on immediately despite the hot weather. They never once moaned about the heat.
We were moving from East Sussex to Lincolnshire so it was a two day move.
The following day the guys once again arrived on time and got stuck in.
They were so cheerful throughout the whole time and couldn't do enough for us always making sure we were happy with how things were going.
We really can't thank them enough.
The office called on day 1 and 2 to make sure everything was OK and that we had no problems.
This firm really does care for it's clients and we can't speak highly enough of them.
For anyone looking for a removals firm we would say save time and stress getting quotes. Just engage Bournes.

We spent a while deciding who to use to ship our furniture etc to Australia. Finally we went with Bournes as they gave the impression they were ready to go. We had our furniture etc collected just before Christmas as they wanted to send on the first shipment in 2025 and the guys were great. From then on everything went wrong obviously we had to scrape through Christmas buying cutlery plates etc as ours had been sent. We were leaving at end of January and we wanted to get our stuff to us in March which we were assured would be no problem. Then we were informed that they can’t send our stuff with temporary Visas even though they were aware that’s what we had. The internet states you can send a shipment with temporary visas We left on 29th January and literally lived with what we had in our suitcase, we didn’t hear anything for a while so assumed that it was on the way and then received a email stating it was being sent on 8th March, can’t tell you how dissatisfied we were, then they sent us another mail telling us we had to pay storage from December to March. We told them we felt that was unfair but were told if we didn’t pay they would block our furniture from coming to us. We felt as if we had no option but to pay, overall very unhappy customers and they don’t seem to care how we feel

All aspects of our move were handled extremely well. The office was very helpful and the team on the 2 day move were great. All this despite only having 5 days notice of the move - and the price was reasonable!

The team where very good and careful with our furniture. even when they came to collect all the boxes we had unpacked they moved furniture for me as after a few days i had realised it was in the wrong place. Lovely team

The whole move was handled with great attention to detail, with kindness and good humour.
We are in our 80's and the moving team led by Kit could not have been more helpful in moving us from Buckinghamshire to Eastbourne.

From first contact point to signing off was thoroughly professional.
Our contents went into storage for a couple of months so we can comment on the whole experience.
Drivers were first rate with difficult manoeuvres.
Packed with care and marked accordingly.
Thoughtful to protect flooring .
Same on the way from storage to new home.
Single point office contact was a good thing especially when there was a glitch with invoicing so that was soon sorted.
We don't intend to move again in a hurry but should the need arise would not hesitate to use Bournes and thoroughly recommend their services.

Bournes bent over backwards to accommodate us when we found out we had just over a week until our moving date. From the first point of contact with Wendy, who was fantastic, our experience with Bournes was nothing sort of perfect. Our Move Manager Jake was on hand to answer any questions and checked in before and during the move. The team we had, led by Matt, was superb and incredibly efficient. All five of the movers were polite, friendly and accommodating, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. They took the stress out of the day and ensured we had a smooth move. We wouldn't want to use anyone else if we move again in the future.

Rusty, Alfie and Pete were absolutely amazing. They had our house packed up in no time at all and nothing was too much bother.
The process of moving from NI back to Cornwall took 5days and those boys were like family by the end of it.
