The Zeppelin pro speaker should be…

The Zeppelin pro speaker should be titled Bluetooth speaker as their totally useless app can never find the speaker and states "No spaces found" ie it can't find the speaker. Returned the first Zeppelin pro as was advised by their tech team it might have a faulty WiFi card. The replacement is exactly the same. I'm with the UKs biggest broadband company so know it's not the router. For the price of the speaker I can't recommend it unless used over Bluetooth.

Terrible quality of PX5 headphones

Terrible quality of PX5 headphones. I bought them second hand but if I will spend £250 I would be really angry. They survived two months of daily use, left started to stop working and now permanently doesn't work. I opened them to check if I can do something to find that design for the country where half of year is raining has no protection at all naked cables. Good sound sophisticated electronic (to sophisticated like for me) and such a rubish product.

Passing off seconds as Brand New

Purchased a pair of PX7 2SE headphones.
Opened the box to discover the envelope containing the warranty info was torn and the USBc cable had been used.
Paired the headphones to my S24 Ultra via the Bowers app to find the headphones have previously been paired to someone else's IPhone and Apple mac.
Called Bowers support and the operator put the phone down on me.
Headphones being returned.
Passing off seconds as brand new. Buyer beware.

B & W = woeful customer service & poorly packaged product

I ordered two pairs of M1 speaker stands from Audio T. These were packed two-in-a-box and were delivered by DPD. One of the speaker bases was very badly chipped and it was obvious that the issue was caused by the badly designed packaging for this item.
Basically, the problem was caused by the fact that the heavy bases were packed in insets in two sections of foam packaging. However, they were not taped to hold them in position, so if the carton was held upright it was quite easy for one base to fall out of its inset aand collide with the other - chipping the paint.

I contacted Audio T who advised me that I would have to return the box containing both pairs of stands and bases - this was patently absurd as all that was damaged was one base, and all that was required was to replace one base. As such, it would have been a much easier task involving less risk of damage to just replace the one base. Audio T advised that B & W insisted on the return of the box containing the two items. This of course meant that I would again receive a pack of two speaker stands and bases which were inherently inadequately packed and could be damaged for this reason.
I personally queried this with B & W who insisted this is what had to be done! Clearly demonstrating they are a firm lacking any common sense, who cannot ensure that their products are packaged properly and have no concept of the meaning of customer service.
The inevitable happened - I received the replacement carton of two stands and bases and BOTH bases are chipped - and the cause is exactly as in the first instance - the bases were not secured in their foam packaging insert and had become dislodged during transit and smashed into each other.
Clearly B & W are unable to ensure their products are packaged properly and do not have a basic common sense approach to replacing one single part of a damaged component. Indeed they compound the issue by sending out parts which arrive damaged for the same reason as the initial shipment.
This is not a company to deal with. Avoid it like the plague.

Awful

Awful
Purchased speakers September 2023. Since then they have broken down 4 times. I have had to get them repaired many times as all I got was radio silence from bowers and Wilkins. Shoddy tech, shoddy service, shoddy company.

Pi7 S2 headphones..... Avoid them!!

I was bought a pair of Pi7 S2 wireless headphones for Christmas.
I can not believe these are a Bowers and Wilkins product they lack any sort of credible sound quality being thin sounding with no bass at all no matter how I tweaked the sound or tried different ear buds tips I couldn't get a decent sound or volume from them!
Utter cheap rubbish at a far from cheap price tag.
My advice do not waste your time with these headphones look elsewhere.

Headphones, cheap plastic covering split!

We bought 2 sets of headphones as they seemed so good at first. Sadly, on both sets used by two different people in two different houses! On both sets the cheap plastic covering the ear pads split and failed!
Shameful design!

A brand has been destroyed

Used to be the most amazing brand. Been bought and sent down the toilet drain. Stay away.
Got a very expensive set of speakers (formation series) . Been an endless stream of problems. From Alexa never working, to sync of music being wonky across speakers, terrible app , absolutely useless customer service, loosing access to my account and I can continue for ages…
If it was just bad products, it would just be a brand that doesn’t match competition, but it used to be one of the best audio brand on the market and I find that incredibly sad.

A Home Audio Professional’s Take

Ive seen my fair share of irresponsible, intentionally deceptive business practices as a former consumer electronics service manager and enthusiast, but B&W takes the cake.

Bottom line: they knowingly continued production of the PX line of headphones despite discovering a fatal structural design flaw in the bands. These headbands will snap just below a pivot point that makes them essentially unserviceable and therefore very expensive to address given the quantities which these were sold in.

The goodnews is youre likely to get ~2 years of daily use out of them, but i wouldnt count on much beyond that. And certainly dont take my word for it. take a look around: youtube, bestbuy, reddit, highfi forum review sections…one gentleman even purchased the URL (web.archive(dot)org/web/20211215194226/https(colon slash slash bowerswilkins-px(dotcom/ ) and created the website out of spite dedicated to the problem.

There are plenty of hifi manufacturers out there, dont by Bowers and Wilkins.

Be careful before buying from here

Bought a pair of headphones from B&W via Selfridges for circa £600. Stuffing came out of headband after a few months. Sent back to Bowers per Selfridges terms and conditions for an inspection on 4 October. I have heard nothing since. According to Selfridges there is no update from Bowers. They appear to be simply ignoring them. I would be careful before buying

Trying to get info is like trying to put out fire with gas

I have been communicating via Email with Christian at B&W in California for two weeks now, have asked several questions and have not gotten any useful information or answers to my questions. Instead of answering my questions, he replies with a question to me or a request for pictures of the unit.

B&W headphones - stay away

I wish there was - star to rate.
I bought Px8 headphones (700euro) 3 months ago. The head bend leather is gone and I read that the glue and design is the common problem. Where was the quality control?
Second thing is… I went back to the shop Harvey Norman in Waterford Ireland and reported the problem. They took pictures and emailed the distributor for Ireland. As it was Sunday they said we are going to contact you on Monday… I did not hear from them till Wednesday so I rang and was told that nobody responded to the email. I was assured another email was sent and they will contact me the very next day… again nothing happened. I rang inFriday just to be told the very same - nobody responded from the B&W and they will contact me later…
Stay away from them - my advice as there are other great headphones with better noice canceling and cheaper option.

Update.

After few weeks I got a new pair of PX8 so so far its all good and I have to change my review and experience rating.

Poor quality and expensive product.

I bought an A7 speaker 8 or 9 years ago but it has stopped working. The customer support department have passed me from one area to the next, without taking any ownership for the issue. I have now been told the speaker is defective but cannot be repaired by them as they no longer carry the parts.
I had thought (at the time) it was worth paying a higher price to get a superior product, but turns out that the quality and post sales support are very poor. Very disappointing product.
I would advise other customers to stay away from buying higher priced products from a company that does not provide a quality product or level of support.

Build quality 10 years ago was far superior to newest items

Purchased a pair of Px8s about 1.5 years ago for approx £600. Expected the to be top notch for build quality. Keeping in mind that I only use them for light use once or twice a week, they only stay at home so are never subject to any undue stress. The leather lining on the cushioning has already begun to pull away! When I asked customer service if there's anything they can do out of good will, they said they'd need to consider if this was in warranty or not and I'd have to do a full return, and if it's considered out of warranty then the minimum charge would be at a minimum of £116!! Absolutely shockingly poor service considering how expensive these headphones were. Really not impressed. Used to have a set of P3s which lasted me over half a decade. Sad to see that quality of recent items isn't even half as good. Will not be purchasing from them again.

I asked a question about an old CDM1…

I asked a question about an old CDM1 set of speakers and their reply was generated by AI

"I hope to have served you in your quest for reviving your old speakers and you maybe come to a personal solution."

When did a human ever respond as such ?

I sorted it out on my own .

Awful, save your money 0/5

Absolutely terrible I would give 0 stars if I could
my wireless headphones have caused nothing but problems since day 1
such as
not holding charge
stopping and starting for no reason
connection issues
Incorrect information on phone GUI
just completely unreliable and not worth the ridiculously high price tag
I'm already on my second set after experiencing the same issues with my first pair so it's certainly not because of one faulty system
Couldn't recommend less
0/5

PV1 Damaged by B&W repair centre

Owned a PV1 for a few years which worked perfectly at high volumes. The unit stopped working as the power unit failed. When the courier came around to pick it up he dropped it and it rattled ever since. They won’t repair the damage they caused! Been trying for years
