Purchased a bin from argos 3 months ago. Foot pedal to lift lid recently stopped working and we was having to lift lid manually. Bin cost £60.
Emailed brabantia on 6th Feb 24 (received aknowledment email to say they have received my request) following week still hadnt had a reply. Called and spoke to a lady called Ruth, explained email hadnt been replied to and she advised to make contact again because they were having some trouble receiving submitted forms. I sent email again (wish i didnt bother) this time received a reply later in afternoon from Jo. She asked me to attach some more photos. I replied instantly with extra photos. She then replied asking me for a video of the problem and my orignal receipt. Again i replied straight away with these attached.
I then received an reply from her to say she would arrange collection of broken bin and once it has been received back she would arrange for a new one to be sent.
I replied and asked if collection of broken one and delivery of new one can be arranged on same day as if not, this would mean i am without a bin for however long.
She rudely replied and said its their policy to receive broken one back first before sending a replacement. As i know this is utter rubbish and upon reading their warrenty documents online i explained i didnt think it was fair i should be left without and Could she not possibly arrange for them to be exchanged on the same day, if not, please send me a copy of the poilcy where it states the broken one is to be received first before replacement one is sent. Again, she abrubtly told me... this isnt written in a policy it is what they are taught in training.
I then asked to speak with a manager and she replied 'SHE had spokeN with her manager and her manager agrees with her (convinient) and if i am not willing to comply she can not assist me any further.
I told her this was very poor customer service.
The next day i received a reply from Charlotte (appearently a customer service manager)
She suggested i should keep the inner bin bucket and return the outer part only. I mean what kind of solution is this???
1. The inner bucket isnt sturdy to be freestanding - i have 3 children so would just create chaos and mess.
2. What kind of solution is this from a so called customer service MANAGER?
The service i have received from both ladies is appalling and i am deeply dissatisfied.

Had a brabantia 50L bin lid and the plastic hinge had broken. Although it was purchased back in December 2015 Brabantia customer service dealt with it efficiently and courteously and promptly replaced it Free of charge & received replacement within 4 days. Their warranty action is as good as they promise!
Fantastic company
The lid on my bin broke and although I bought it 8 years ago Brabantia offered to send me a free replacement. Their customer service is just fantastic. What a brilliant company. They make great products and back them up with excellent aftercare.
Superb Customer Service
I have a few Brabantia items and decided to get a rotary washing line. Unfortunately the main pole broke so I contacted Jo at Brabantia with a few photo’s attached. They couldn’t have been more helpful and have kindly sent me a replacement free of charge. This sort of customer service goes a long way as I will purchase more from Brabantia knowing they can back up their products.

Fabulous Customer Service! I had a 7 year old Brabantia bin that had some rust on it and contacted their Customer Service department. Replies received from Ruth within a few hours and replacement bin on its way. Has convinced me only to buy my bins from Brabantia in future.
Brabantia very poor customer service
Order Brabatia wall mounted washing line on line with B&Q. To be dispatched directly thru Brabantia. Received notofication 3 days later from Brabantia that they had dispatched item using DX. Received delivery details from DX (Wed). Didnt arrive. Rang Brabantia (very poor customer hours). Was advised that it should arrive in 2 days (Fri). It didn't. Brabantia customer service had closed that late afternoon. Rang Brabantia on Mon and they were to check what had happened and come back to me. They didn't. I rang them back and was told to contact B&Q re refund as DX had probably lost the package. As my contract with Brabantia I asked to speak to a manager. After a discussion she then agreed to resend item using a different courier. On tues I received txt saying DX would deliver original package by 5.20pm. They didn't. Rang DX and apparently the driver had run out of time. Package potientially to be delivered tomorrow (Wed). I will not hold my breath. All in all very poor from Brabantia as it was left up to me to constantly chase and track this parcel. Their products may be quality but their customer service is not. Buyers beware!! This is an abridged version of the whole sorry episode..
two times came broken/faulty products
two times came broken/faulty products. I returned the 1st one and never received the money back. Brabantia would not reply to my emails either. The order number is 11000580257. The product was returned on Nov 21st and the status on Brabantia & delivery company is that the product was received. It's been two months now.
With the 2nd faulty item, I requested the return label, but they never sent it to me despite my following up with them a couple of times. I decided to keep the product since I didn't receive the money back for the 1st one.
So never ordering again on their website.

Brabantia has a very high customer service ethic. Yodel delivered my order to somewhere else. It was replaced without demur and with alacrity. A company very easy to do business with

I received extremely good, efficient and helpful service firstly from Shannon who identified the spare part I required and then sent me one at no charge, followed by Jo who advised me how to fit the part when it arrived. I have never known such personal and prompt service from a Company and would have every confidence in buying from Brabantia again. Many thanks to both of you - lovely staff indeed.

Surprised…rare to not get ripped off these days.we are a Brabantia family,loyal to the brand for years, pesky magpies have now nicked our red washing line ground spike bung twice. Replacements are £10 + £2 p/p on e-bay but ordered 2 today on brabantia’s own web site for £2.50 each plus free p+p. Nice gesture I thought

Bin lid guaranteed after 9 years!…
The lid of my brabantia bin unfortunately failed to open. I had the bin for 1 year less than the 10 year guarantee.
Jo from the company replied quickly and after forwarding a video he arranged for a replacement lid.
The service I received was second to none and I am so impressed with the company. I would recommend them to anyone.

This company always responds promptly and either resolves issues or suggests what can be done. It’s literally the only company I have ever dealt with where the product matches the after sales service and is 100% the best.

The product is light and flimsy, arrived with a dent which just should not have happened, if you ship everywhere all the time the package should be properly packaged - Awful!
