Really disappointed with the AI use for a whole school photo. The photograph itself looks totally false with children all given the same height, body size, looking straight ahead, no arms to be seen,... See more

No care given to how the kids look at all

The children were directed to show all their teeth despite that making them look ridiculous! 2 years in a row now, I am unable to order school photos for my kids because they look awful. I considered it my kids’ folly last year and made sure to ‘coach’ them this year to smile nicely, but there were insisted upon to ‘smile’ with all their teeth showing. Probably better off taking these photos myself at home.

not perfect for the price

Well, the photos are good but always imperfect; the hair is not prepared for better clothing. I understand that you are not allowed to touch but at least you have a teacher close by to help.

Daylight robbery!!!!!!

So expensive!!!!! This was for my child’s yr6 primary school photo (as parents will know getting school photos in secondary is virtually non-existent) so I really did need to buy this one. Braiswick may as well have tipped me upside down and shook every penny from me. I just think they raise their prices because it’s school photos and know that parents will pay, disgusting behaviour and greedy!

Better photos this year than last but mix and match gives no reduction on digital download.

Better photos this year than last taken of my girls and I was so excited I could mix and match this year but that would have left me paying £76 for digital downloads of the 4 photos they took so we ended up having to get packs of each photo to get the downloads for £20 total. It didn't matter how much you spent on mix and match packs there was no reduction in price of the digital downloads and I refuse to pay £76 just to download photos. £19 to download a photo is really expensive especially when you have 3 children at the school then a photo of them all so you need 4 digital downloads.

Need to find a new photographer

Woodland Grange School needs to find a new photographer for school pictures. £19 for one picture without a frame is ridiculous especially as these images are unedited and literally just a shot that is printed. I would give zero stars for the quality of these pictures too, I will be bringing this up at the next school board meeting.

Shockingly incompetent money grabbers

My children have had photos taken by Braiswick for the whole of their school lives and they have been of a consistently terrible quality. The photographers sent to the school clearly can not be bothered or are incapable of capturing a decent image. Braiswick themselves obviously couldn't care less, knowing that many parents will simply buy their inferior product no matter what out of sentimental obligation.

I have just begrudgingly ordered a set of digital prints and the photos look even worse than the thumbnails, which I didn't think was possible. Having worked with a local photographer at my own school to ensure that each and every member of the class had the opportunity to buy a decent photo of their child, I am incensed that we have to tolerate this utterly useless service from Braiswick. I will be making a complaint to the school and suggesting that they move to a different photographer and will be encouraging others, both parents and others in my professional network to do the same.

They don't deserve our money and quite frankly should not be in the photography business.

HOW MUCH!!!

Thankfully the photos this year were good which isnt always possible with children however I am gobsmacked by the prices. They have us right over a barrel. £19 for a digital download is disgusting. Only saving grace is the new feature which allows you to combine multiple photos of siblings into one pack which makes it hurt a little less.

Terribly expensive for school…

Terribly expensive for school photographs having 3 children. Cheapest photograph £17 and for only 1 image without mount. We didn’t even get all 3 children in one picture despite them all being at the same school. We were told it was the fault of our 7 year old for not collecting his 4 year old sister from her class. A little management at the point of flash would be helpful for younger children. Poor and expensive service.

Extortionate!

Extortionate! 1 10×8 image and having to now pay separately for a completely average border £21. How do you justify this pricing Braiswick? Is there any consideration of families who've been affected by 13 years of austerity? I will lobby the school to engage a local provider who may well be a similar price but at least there will be some support to the community.

They are massively expensive…you wouldn’t mind paying the extortionate prices if the photos were any good, which unfortunately they’re not - harsh lighting, overly saturated colour etc etc.

Photo ok but sent back to school to order it enclosing my card details only dmfor it to ve returned about 6 weeks later with a letter stating incorrect card details stated/declined card payment even though I knew there were correct/there were no issues with my bank account. Not got the option to order through school again and now having to pay £4 postage. I wasn't even contacted to check the details even though my contact number was on the same form. The photos are expensive enough without having to add postage on!!

Expensive!

Unfortunately, we are forced to use this company for our school photos. Every so often they come out well, other times not so well. The prices they charge are just extortionate. £19 for a Digital only image, and multiply that if you have more than one child, and that's the cheapest option! As if sending your kids to school isn't expensive enough with everything you have to buy! This just adds salt to the wounds. I'd love the school to choose a more financially considerate company.

If your a school avoid this company!

So my son's school used Brainswick for the first time this year. As some others have said, the pricing and packages are extortionate. We only wanted a 7x5 inch photo, but that wasn't an option in the packages Brainswick offered. For a single photo, they only offer 10x8 inches, which is huge at a cost of £17. If you want smaller sizes, you have to buy their other packages which includes lots of smaller sizes, but start at £20 and up. 7 by 5 inches is a standard size, but I'm guessing Brainswick really want to push the other more lucrative packages where they can make more profit on parents. The school asked Brainswick on my behalf if they could include the standard 7x5 inch size as a package and this was declined.

If you're in charge of a school I'd advise your to look at reviews for companies like Brainswick & seeing that 50%+ of the reviewers on trustpilot gave it the minimum 1 star, think "mmm, maybe i should avoid this company?"

Couldn't access the website to order…

Couldn't access the website to order apparently the site don't like my phone type... I asked for help to order my daughter's photos to be met on the phone with someone who didn't have time adamant under no circumstances will they take orders over the phone. apparently I need to access the site on a pc or laptop I have neither. Tried again to do it on my phone for it to have blocked me out. Rang the company back to be met with another very rude lady telling me to take a breath and calm down I was actually calm and breathing well. she was rude and insisted on telling she could access my daughter photos so I must have put the wrong passcode in. I know I didn't I checked and double checked and if I had I wouldn't have blocked myself out of the system any way upon explaining I just need help to order my photos she decided to tell me I needed to change my tone if I wanted help. I actually hate the patronising arrogant people who work for tis company they need to get off there high horses and remember they ain't special. They are there to do a job... Absolutely disgusting

They couldn't be bothered to get an attempt to get a nice photo. The child has such a forced smiled, they didn't bother to take more than one photo for parents to choose from. For the price I would expect a bit more to be honest.
