I have regularly visited Brewers in New England Street in Brighton and have always found them very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. They take care to understand the customer's needs and explain the options in a fair disinterested way. I thought it was about time I wrote a review to applaud the staff who wholly deserve 5 Stars!! Bought some paint for my house to be redecorated with. Staff were lovely and extremely helpful as I am clueless with what to buy when it comes to anything DIY! Thankyou so much to the Brighton team

Have given 3 stars only for the following reason: Ordered various F&B paints online well in advance and booked 2 days out to do a job within timescales of supposed delivery of paint - i.e. 3 days as specified on order confirmation. Heard nothing and the 3 days came and went. No communication from Brewers (New England Street, Brighton or main website. Eventually went into shop on 4th day and was told by staff it would probably arrive that day. It didn’t. No apology forthcoming. Order Eventually arrived on 5th day, 2 days later than advised and having lost 2 days when I could have been doing paint job. No apology from Brewers at all. This is why I have scored low.

I required a floor paint for wood and in a particular shade. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to get it but the salesperson was very knowledgeable and managed to mix the paint in the shade and finish I required.

We were extremely impressed with Mark at Brewers in Brighton (New England Street). It was our first visit of many for a house renovation project - Mark was very helpful, knowledgeable and full of useful tips and advice. We will definitely be going back. On his advice we registered for a store card, which meant we saved 20% and then a further 20% on our next visit, which was a significant saving given the amount of different products we needed to buy. Thank you!

Outstanding customer service the whole way thru.
I am decorating a lounge with part wallpaper/part paint. Bit difficult to match up colours with wood, York stone, colour of furniture in the room to all take into consideration.
Both Pam and Izzy spent a long time helping me. Pam on a first visit with the wallpaper style….Pam was so quick to ‘get’ my style and focus on the books most suitable out of your utterly enormous, wonderful selection. I was able to borrow the potential books in question for the time I felt I needed.
Mark was great with the input on paint brands-thank you-especially as he had popped in store on his day off at that time-much appreciated.
I happened to go back when Izzy was working and she was every bit as perfect in helping me choose the right colour of paint to go with the wallpaper I’d selected.
Both took a long time out of their, I’m sure, busy day to help me.
Then Pam today was working out the quantities of paper and paint needed from my untidy, imperial measures only drawings😩!
Then Cerise helped with brush types and the rest of my order -to get my 20% off all (I think!) I need to do the job!
This branch knock spots off other large DIY outlets. Lovely to recommend this wonderful branch and company. Very friendly, fun, extremely professional service.

Truly personalised service! Visited Brewers today to sort out paint colours and finishes for an external project. Mark (the manager) could not have been more helpful in sorting out the best product to meet our needs and the exact colour I required. He was prepared to give the time and thought to the task and advised on my numerous questions with care and real expertise! Beyond anything I could have expected!

Having needed a lot of advice on firstly spraying my kitchen cupboards, then my lounge furniture. The ladies in sales at Brighton were amazing. I have completely renovated lounge, dining room and kitchen. Thanks

As the title says, great store which was well stocked with plenty of options for supplies. Staff were also super helpful with finding out what I needed and where to find it.

I went into the store on Saturday, the lady who helped me was very helpful and said that I would be refunded the cost of one of the tester pots I bought if I returned with the receipt to buy the paint, which I said I would be doing on Monday (2 days later). Firstly, I called to pay over the phone but this seemed too much trouble for the gentleman who answered the phone so I offered to go to the store instead. The lady who served me refused to refund the tester pot. I suggested very politely that this should be honoured but she was very evasive and rude and didn't seem to care at all, saying it was an offer that had ended. I spent £150.00 on paint altogether, the cost of the tester pot isn't a lot in comparison but would have saved Brewers a poor review and the loss of a customer as I wont be returning to that store again.

The staff at Brewers New England Street were incredibly helpful to me during quite a complicated series of transactions. They matched my online orders of Farrow and Ball paints with items they had in stock and were so nice and kind. Then later, on another occasions, another member of staff helped me with an order from Anaglytpa so that i could order confidently.
From now on, I will always go to Brewers if I require decorating supplies. It makes so much difference when you can talk to people instore, and whose experience and knowledge shows that they really know what they are talking about and give you the right advice and information.
