We recently visited the Brewers store in Poole to buy large quantities of paint and various other items. Luke and his colleague were so helpful and patient. Their customer service was excellent! Unfortunately there was one item missing when we got home which I phoned the general number about to organise a refund (we needed this urgently so had to purchase from a store open on Sunday) and the person on the phone was less helpful. Very disinterested and slightly rude but nevertheless this didn’t dampen our experience in store with the staff at the Poole centre, I would highly recommend them!

Advised on purchase I would receive a message to collect within 3 days, in the end it was more like 9. Not a massive problem for me as I was not in a rush. Tin was dented, paint was fine though. Staff member called me sweetheart which some people might find offensive, luckily I just find outdated.

Brewers is what it says a Decorator Centre Every Thing You could possible need for inside or outside plus useful advice and help from the staff.

I placed an order for approx £1,100 but my wife didn't notice that a 2.5ltr can of Dulux Satinwood was the wrong product. It wasn't opened but Dorchester couldn't refund it because it had been delivered by Poole. The problem was referred to Tina, the Poole Manager, but she was unable to make a decision that would help me so I was stuck with a can of paint that I didn't want. Hardly impressive given the size of my order.

I ordered a tin of Coovar textured floor paint online (cost £26.65) and paid for it online. I went to your Poole store to collect it on 7th January, when I was advised it was available.
The tin had obviously been opened, the rim was bent as a result of opening it and the tin lid was covered in grey fingerprints, clearly whoever opened it was rather careless.
I pointed this out and asked for a fresh unopened tin. I was advised this was the only one they had in stock, so I said I was not happy paying full price for an opened tin. I was very reluctantly offered a tiny discount of just over £1. I would have walked out there and then, except I needed the paint, had already incurred cost and time in going to collect it, and did not want a repeat journey.
So I agreed to take the paint and the very small refund, which then the store manager was unable to process for some reason so I ended up buying extra stuff using the discount, just to get away.
I was not impressed, to put it mildly!

Great advice and service from Martin and Colin. This differentiates them from other DIY shops.

Purchased a 5 litre tin of Albany eggshell all surface paint for our hall doors. I applied the paint with a roller and the finish result was excellent. Would recommend this paint which also came at a great price.

Every time I go into Brewers decorating centre in Poole they cannot do enough for me, if they haven’t got the item in there store they order for me ready for the next day, the staff are second to none and very polite, great range of products too! Would recommend to anyone including members of public
