BREWER'S FAYRE IN BICESTER, OXFORDSHIRE IS THE WORST PLACE TO EAT EVER! HAD BOOKED A PARTICULAR TABLE ON WEDNESDAY 31 ST DECEMBER 2025 WHICH WAS NEW YEAR'S EVE, ONLY TO FIND OUT WHEN ARRIVED THAT THE TABLE WASN'T EVEN BOOKED AND THERE WAS ALREADY PEOPLE SAT ON THE TABLE THAT I REQUESTED. THEY SAID THAT THERE WAS NO OTHER TABLES AVAILIABLE. THE FACT IS THAT I MADE THE BOOKING THE DAY BEFORE BY PHONE AND THE LADY SAID THAT THE TABLE WE ASKED FOR WAS VACANT FOR THE DAY AND TIME WE WANTED. AND ALSO WAS TOLD THAT THE £5.00 DISCOUNT MEALS IF YOU BOOK BEFORE 6PM WASN'T AVAILIABLE AS IT WAS NEW YEAR'S EVE. THE SMALL PRINT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE MENU ONLY MENTIONS CHRISTMAS DAY AND BOXING DAY ARE THE TIMES WHEN THE CHEAPER MEALS ARE NOT AVAILIABLE. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THEM, THE WAITING TIMES FOR YOUR FOOD TO ARRIVE AT YOUR TABLE IS SO LONG THAT ONE VISIT TOOK A TOTAL TIME THERE WAS 3 HOURS!!! THE SERVICE IS VERY VERY POOR!!! THE MANAGEMENT THERE ARE NOT FRIENDLY EITHER.!!!!! WOULDN'T RECCOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL.

Booked online for a party of 18 . Phoned to confirm aswell, to get there and to be told we were not on the ipad so they had no seats for us. I was devastated as our family were getting together for lunch on NYE . The staff were no help at all and didn't care. We were told there wasnt enough room for us so had to leave. I had booked Christmas lunch for us and my elderly mum weeks in advance for Christmas Eve. When we arrived the doors were closed. I tried calling and when the (very pleasant) person answered he said they were closed and didn't take bookings for Christmas Eve. A staff member (again very pleasant) then came to the door and also said they were closed; their booking system was down; they didn't have enough staff; someone should have been in touch with me; and they didn't start serving food until 3 o'clock.
When I booked and asked for a table for 12 o'clock it was accepted and at no point from then until our arrival on the day was I contacted to inform me of any of the information provided at the door by the member of staff. Very poor and very confusing for my poor mum who has Alzheimer's. Luckily we managed to find another restaurant nearby who had a table available.
I will never use this restaurant again and would definitely not recommend.

BF @ King’s Lynn today 26 December 2025 - the staff were welcoming and the food was excellent. We had the 3 course festive meal and everyone in our group enjoyed the meal from start to finish. Excellent value for money and great atmosphere. I recommend this place.

If you are going to Brewer's fair. for a Christmas. Calvary, I would not waste your money. It is absolute rubbish waited over an hour for our food. And the food was horrible. The chef must have got ease certificate off of a cornflake box.🤬🤬

Had a wonderful welcome by Molly yesterday on Christmas Day. The food was ALL amazing

Booked my family in for Christmas day dinner, party of 9, understandably price per person inflated due to Christmas, but the food was very poor effort, but the shock came when we tried to leave and was stopped and charged £34 for 9 draft colas, on top of the £56.99 per person,

Attended today for our Christmas dinner. This is our 3rd year in a row. Previous 2 years were great - staff, atmosphere and food quality.

Today was not as good - staff were great - helpful and friendly, atmosphere was as good as previous (although, Xmas background music would have been more fitting, rather than the standard background playlist), but the food was not on point as per previous visits.

Turkey was a preformed joint, not meat crown like before - texture was rubbery.

Beef was excessively fatty - so much so, the standard supplied knives couldn’t cut it.

Gammon had an excessive fat layer served with it.

Pigs in blankets cost extra as a side dish but the quality wasn’t to expectations of costing more.

NO BRUSSEL SPROUTS!!! On Xmas day!!!

Roast potatoes appeared typical frozen aunt Bessie standard and anaemic in appearance

GRANTHAM - CRYSTAL BALL REQUIRED

Last night at 21:03 I entered the Brewers Fayre Grantham. There were at least six tables occupied for food and drink but we were refused a drink as last orders on a Sunday is 20:45.

I was aware that all week it is 21:45 from a previous visit but not having a crystal ball and there being no signs to state normal licensing hours did not apply this very early closure time missed by minutes was very irritating.

The barman could not even tell us the nearest pub alternative.

He said it was illegal to serve us. This is not true as it is a management decision not a law.

Given they get a lot of trade from the Premier Inn being petty is in my opinion lack of customer appreciation.

We went into town and will make sure to do so again in future.

Food was Awful, Festive Menu Turkey Roast, well Turkey was like not Turkey from a proper Turkey, yorkshire was stone cold, Roast potatoes was out of a bag and probably deep fried NO flavour, the veg was ok and the gravy also was ok , on the whole i would not eat there again.

I had the misfortune of dining at Glastonburys BrewerFayre as we were staying at Travel Inn. We ordered two Christmas Turkey dinners. Difficult to properly describe how bad is truly was. It's probably 30 years plus since I last walked out of a restaurant because of the appalling quality of the food. My partner had tomatoe soup which was moderately ok just, but the croutons were soggy due mostly to sitting around before serving. But the main cause was a lesson to chefs, restaurants owners and anyone who has a reasonable appriation of food on how NOT to prepare food. How they can seriously serve up with a straight face what they do is beyond belief considering business is so difficult at the moment. Everything on the plate was dreadful. The gravely was of the poorest and cheapest quality, turkey had a taste nothing like turkey, potato was stale and old, carrots were not pealed and parsnip and brussel sprouts looked so surgically clean due in part to boiling and just dumping on the plate. This is a high office problem. The accountants and senior management dictate quality. The budget for acquiring, preparation of food although there is no serious thought behind even the most basic of seasoning and making a dish taste good is completely absent. Remember school dinners with lumpy mash and cardboard food, well it actually had a little more input care even in those days. Brewers Fayre food is some of the worse available in the current collection of chains. We got a refund and went elsewhere.......

Staff are rude in Telford, Kettering. Not welcoming at all. Food
is mediocre had both breakfast and carvery there and food was luke warm. Service level non existent with the exception of one young lady who actually helped refill the milk in the coffee machine as the bar staff are way too busy to be kind.

Lovely meal tonight at the Brewers Fayre in Rugby.

They set up a giveaway spin on there Facebook and if you win a decent prize it makes u spin again so that u only win a money off voucher at there restaurants
Disgusting service

They advertised a spinning wheel on their Facebook page, to win air pods, speaker, Nintendo switch lite, money off bill etc.

I spun the wheel and got the speaker, I was told to spin again but faster... I spun again but faster this time and it landed on the nintendo switch lite (I have video evidence of this too!) It then gave me 50percent off food?
Ummm no I gave you my details to play the game. I won the Nintendo switch.

After looking at the Facebook comments people are saying they still got gifted their win as long as they have proof? I have proof?

EXETER. DO NOT EAT HERE. Firstly, the staff seemed stressed and rushed off their feet when it was relatively quiet.

Secondly, at the bar I ordered a burger with a gluten free bun. The bar-man said that "all burger buns are naturally gluten free" which is completely and utterly incorrect. Bread is not "naturally" gluten free. And they do NOT servce gluten free buns to everyone like he was trying to suggest.

Thirdly, I ordered a Garden Gourmet Vegan Burger (which should look like a meat-type patty). I recieved the Pumpkin and Spinach burger. When I asked them to check this as it should be a meat-style patty, the "manager" or shop floor leader, who was an extremely rude man, came out stating that I was incorrect and this is Brewer's Fayre's version of Garden Gourmet. I showed him what it should look like on google, and he stated "we are not google and we have a different brand to what they're showing on google". He could not understand that he was incorrect, and I recieved an incorrect burger. I wish I had asked to see the packaging it came in!! Anyway, I found the burger on Brewer's Fayre's Facebook page and it was infact meant to be a meat-style patty. I showed the rude man who really did not care. He was SO rude, I ended up eating nothing as I have intolerances and could not trust this place.

We visited last night party of 8 the restaurant was really poorly decorated for Christmas and did not give you a wow factor there were long cues to get drinks and order food some of the staff seemed to be avoiding doing anything and only one till was working and the manager was just hovering around bitting his nails at the entrance , some of the food was cold and a member of staff laughed when we spoke to her about it won’t be visiting again Wetherspoons is better than brewers fayre

Beware using this chain. They appear to be attached to Premier Inns.
They send discount vouchers to entice you in to their restaurants that then prove to be impossible to use. Luckily, we discovered this by ordering at the bar. Ordering at the table would have led to a bill with no discount. Staff were blaming Head Office as their till would not accept voucher and most items on the menu excluded, contrary to how the voucher t&c read.
Emailed complaints department who obviously didn’t read my email properly as only sent a copy of t&c . A phone call to them was a waste of my time. Petulant attitude of their agent, who appeared to be reading platitudes from a cue card, and did not actually care about their customers feedback even though repeating verbatim how seriously Brewers Fayre take customer feedback. I don’t intend to use a Brewers Fayre restaurant again. Their in-house, online or by telephone approach is a lesson in how not to provide customer care.
