Moved from Brighton which is my home…

Moved from Brighton which is my home town because the Greens screwed it up so bad. stinks, rubbish everywhere, traffic congestion the prices of parking is way way too high it's disgusting, flies everywhere the town smells of wee everywhere, pavements are so dirty you stick to them, overcrowded with student accommodation. they certainly don't think about the residents and treat their tenants like crap. In the last four years, it's gone massively downhill and I fear that it will get even worse I worked on a committee for brighton council they are so confused they don't know if they are scratching their wrists or winding up their butts

It's such as shame

It's such as shame, Brighton used to be a great town, now it's just dirty and neglected. To sum up Brighton in a few words... Graffiti, overflowing bins, neglected historical architecture, lack of public facilities and gridlock.
As I said... It's such a shame.

Terrible

Brighton council. What’s to say, I could go on all day. Greedy council who don’t listen to residents views on any subject. The city is dirty , with overflowing bins , filthy public toilets. Parking is extortionate and is almost non existent as it’s all residents zones and what pay and display there is is mostly short hours and overpriced and lasts till 8 pm 7 days a week. It’s even in Stanmer park now so people can’t enjoy that for free anymore ! Ugly overflowing Bins in parking spaces. Gridlock everywhere due to ridiculous cycle lanes that are hardly used and traffic schemes that aren’t fit for purpose. No compassion for the homeless who have no where to go. Heritage sites such as the Madeira terraces are being left to rot. Shoppers and tourists are being driven away by the thousands.
What was once a beautiful thriving town is being turned into a dirty no go area How sad. This council needs investigation asap and people who actually care about the city and its residents and visitors put in place before it’s too late.

They treat us residents with contempt

This is a comment made yesterday by one of our Green Councillors on an article in our local press. A 25 year old no less that has never had a proper job yet chairs our transport committee. Cheeky cow :-(

"Calm down, snowflake - I'm just pointing out that these people aren't the sharpest tools in the box."

One star is too many stars for Brighton & Hove council

One star is too many stars for a council that doesn't answer to basic requests, such as amending the bank details for the direct debit payment that they are taking, or a query about council tax. I rang their Council tax line, which said that they are not answering telephone calls, and recommends to write an email, i wrote an email and I received an automatic reply with a link which sent me to blank box, so I repeated and resent my message. I received again an automatic reply with a link which took me again to the blank box which I had to fill again with the message. 4 weeks on, I have not received a reply and I don't think I will ever will. I am very unhappy, I am a healthy educated person but I am not capable to get in touch with the council.

Brighton is the dirtiest coastal place to visit

One star is too much for this council - roads and pavements are filthy council staff are rude and the administration side are useless - there is graffiti everywhere - vagrants sleeping everywhere the only thing they do is give parking tickets out 24/7 it’s a shame they can’t spend more time and money on cleaning the areas - Brighton is definitely the dirtiest roughest coastal holiday site I have ever visited

Brighton taxi drivers

Really, poor experience with complaining to I wanted to complain about Brighton and Hove radio cabs parking on double yellow lines and illegally parking in disabled parking spaces and parking on bus lanes the council don’t do anything with it they let these cabbies get away with everything and it’s disgusting these taxi drivers should be listening to the councils terms and conditions and yet these taxi drivers have failed to apply to these rules the council should be doing something about these taxi drivers making it more dangerous on the roads specially bike lanes.

Last Aug I wrote to get an up to date…

Last Aug I wrote to get an up to date council tax account because it is in arrears. Chased them in Sept and Oct. As a public service company they have a duty of care to the inhabitants of Brighton and Hove. We want to pay them additional money but do not know the arrears figure. Will they ever respond.

Brighton Council are consistently very…

Brighton Council are consistently very poor with all services I have contact with. Rubbish remains uncollected for a week so the sea gulls make a mess. Parking permits systems mostly do not work and the council does not respond to attempts to contact them by email. The council does not seem to care.

A waste of public money.

The council offices are run by a bunch of vacuous part time women who don't know or have the slightest interest in what they are
doing.

Shocking behaviour

Shocking behaviour. Know they are in the wrong and have tried to manipulate me. No explanation for their actions and taking money to the tune of 324 a month. I have asked for a break down. They sent it to the wrong address. Massive GDPR breaches and scare tactics because they can’t prove they are lawful. Won’t be leaving this. ICO, local paper, MP, I am not having hard earned money disappearing with no explanation despite numerous requests. Disgusting behaviour.

Corrupt Children's Services - Target Parents who go to SENDIST and seek to have disabled children's needs met

If other LAs children's services are like this one's then I seriously worry for this country's disabled families. They are so corrupt it's untrue. Their children's services department including SEN team, have been responsible for: disability discrimination against myself and children; breaching law as regards SEN transport for a vulnerable child (leaving us out-of-pocket, eventually put right by LGO but not all costs recovered); colluding with school to refuse to meet child's SENs causing child's school-refusal then failing to assist disabled parent find a school place for child then blaming parent for child school-refusing; unlawful malicious referral containing multiple lies by five LA staff and unlawful S47 against parent also containing multiple copy and pasted lies (in revenge for parent taking them to SEN tribunal); serious Data Protection Act breaches; breaches of Children Acts 2004 and 1989; breaches of SEN Code of Practice 2014; code of conduct and ethics breaches by individual staff; human rights breaches; distressing disabled children and ignoring the distress they caused as well as ignoring the voices of the children in breach of laws and criminal acts of non-oath sworn perjury. After all that was done with they then conducted a course of unlawful harassment against me, with an unwarranted "communication policy" that they did not apply to any other parent of disabled children, which they kept contacting me about even though I asked them not to. They caused serious health problems and financial loss with their unlawful actions. All of this is provable with documentation.

I'm recently disabled

I'm recently disabled, I wrote to Brighton & Hove City Council's Council Tax Office on 18th March concerning the possibility of a discount because of my condition and despite several reminders have not received the courtesy of a reply. It's now 2nd May. I've now written to the Chief Executive - I wonder if I'll get a reply ...
