Ha now where to start

Ha now where to start. I’ll leave it brief. Purchased a Landrover discovery from the their select sale . Had a clean report though not one of there assured !! Had it delivered the engine was knocking from the crank. Needed a £5000 engine. So don’t bother with their so called inspection reports as they state no claims even though clearly incorrectly reported as engine all good and in the select sale. I closed my account won my claim via court as they sold a defective vehicle with inherent fault !! Shocking company nothing more than crooks . The select vehicles are from we buy any car one of there other companies

ALL TRADERS START FILING at Moneyclaimonline

Fantastic action and advice from Matthew Connor on the 7th February 2023! As Matthew said, the vast majority of traders should start bringing claims against these dishonest BCA C*NTS! It's very easy for the trade to carry out this action. Moneyclaimonline is the way to go about it! It's the official Government website associated with the Law Court's, so processes are carried out properly, professionally and legally! It costs approx £475 for an individual to bring a claim against another individual/company. The third party (BCA) has to acknowledge the claim against them! I wish i had thought of doing this when i was still dealing with this shower of BCA SHI*TE! I can imagine if enough traders start doing this with moneyclaimonline, this will upset the 'apple cart' and the Scottish BIT*CH may actually take note what they have done and are continuing to do to the independent motor trader! Their ARS*S will start to possibly shake??? Let's hope anyway? Something and someone out there has to stop this VERMIN and make them accountable for all the stress, hassle and £1000's the trade has lost over the last few years! Watch this space!?!

Free advice for all traders:

Free advice for all traders:
I no longer deal with these clowns, the last vehicle I purchased at the end of 2021 was an 80k miles 2009 Golf Gti represented as flat battery on AA report. Was delivered with a broken cam chain and bent valves.
Issue a CCJ under fraudulent misrepresentation.
They were running around like little B@@ches once CCJ filed trying to get the car collected and returned all my money including auction fees, transport and legal advice and engine strip down cost.
If you all do it for every misrepresented car vis a vis bent AA reports they will soon be ground to a stop from their despicable toxic practices of selling us hard working people the general publics mess.

Disclaimer: (ironic' sounds like a company I know)
[Please seek independent legal advice - the aforementioned is merely an explanation of how I dealt with them and the result gained and as so is not meant to be legal guidance or advice]

***avoid

The customer service are terrible and business ethics of this company are poor.

Avoid this company and if you have come here to see the reviews and that's not enough for you then good luck but I strongly urge you to rethink.

There will be decent merchants out there but this company is not that.

HGV Class 1 Driver

(HGV Class 1 Driver - Bristol , Portbury)

Top Management treat you like an animal or a machine

i've let down the job offer and glad i did it ,

you feel the pressure and harshness of the main manager before even you start .

they train you away from home and makes you to sleep on back of a lorry !
you have to buy all your own equipment on top! (around £900)
no fridge no microwave no heating nothing provided.

they don't pay you on hourly rate because it doesn't worth it ! you get paid 3 weeks after you start !

the main managers attitude is really bad ,they look down on you all the time and talk to you like you're a slave .
modern slavery by all means in my view .

avoid joining them cuz you'll regret it .

not good reviews from current drivers either , they're all want to go somewhere with better pay and better work condition .
i don't recommend working there atall .

FAILED TO MENTION EXHAUST HAS DROPPED TO THE FLOOR

I went to collect a Car from the Bedford site recently, got the paperwork, got to the collection car park, looked around the car, noticed immediately the complete exhaust had dropped to the floor only held up from the manifold.
I checked the essential report and the description and no mention of the broken exhaust being on the floor.
Spoke to couple of useless customer services staff, who came to look, they said they can't do anything and that the exhaust was not part of the essential report, I said look at the exhaust its literally on the floor why didnt your vehicle assessor at least mention it, so the buyer can come prepared with recovery, the manager gave me an unbeliveable reason that its possible the exhaust may have fell off when they were moving the car around in the yard !!!! they honestly think we the buyers are all stupid and thick ? after an hour or so, the Customer service manager suggested that as a gesture of goodwill she will get the in house mechanic to do a temp fix, I said Ok. Then a few mins later I get told the mechainc has gone home early and they could do it tomorrow, I explained to the manager that I just spent £65 and 3 hours on train to collect the car, she said they can't do anything until tomorrow, subsequently i decided i've wasted enough time withese useless people, so I pulled the car out and called a local mobile mechanic paid him £90 to secure the exhaust as much as possible to get me back to my garage.

How are BCA getting away running this scam of knowningly selling cars with hidden issues & faults.. This company (BCA) has a BAD feedback of 91% on this hugely trusted review platform.
Where are Standard Trading Officers, the Government bodies, Why are they not monitoring this company and taking action. This company is in clear breach of selling mis-described cars, some extremely dangerous with faults are not disclosed, which means that a Plated Driver collecting could be in danger !!!

Regrettably and Sadly, I think the the Standard trading, government bodies will act, once a fatal incident happens, they work a bit like the police, when your in danger of an assault they will only act once the crime has been committed...

Even the Auctioneers (pimps pimping up bogus bids) have been trained and expected to keep pimping up bogus bids on some cars to the reserve price, then once the trap has been set for a bid which they sell at comes in.. So many Cars auctioneer screams SOLD SOLD and then same car few days later is showing in the next Auction.
The Auction Ombudsman, should be looking into this and penalising BCA and Suspend the Auctioneers who are phishing bids falsely & deliberately to attract bidders to keep bidding to get to the price BCA are looking for..
BCA have become a shameful scamming company, but they don't care, trading standards, govt bodies havent't got the bottle to challenge them, Very sad state of affairs.
There is only one way BCA may possibly start to behave fairly to their customers and that way is if all traders stop buying for a couple of weeks from them, and we know and BCA know, thats not going to happen there isn't any unity among dealers, traders.
Alternatively, we can only hope a new auction group emerges, and we can go back to buying cars that we have a honest descripton, better communication, if it emerges, then BCA will be history, I hope they end up like British Leyland did liquidated and hopefully investors, shareholders all suffering huge losses.

I bought an X6 and it wasnt as described!

I bought an X6 grom BCA Bedford which on the essential report said engine smoking and was highlighted in amber. No problem I thought, it'll need a little tlc and it'll be fine. The engine running was highlighted green so I assumed all good. When I went to pick it up it was knocking really badly. I asked for the on site customer services manager and was directed to Wendy Goldsmith. I was told to leave the car there. I came back all the way to Leeds without the car. I was told this would most likely be a cancelled sale as there was no mention of the engine knocking/noise on the report. Wendy said she was away on holiday but in her absence a man called Jamie would be dealing with it. Over the course of the week Jamie spoke to me twice (or rather I chased him up!) and that he was chasing the refund. Exactly one week later he emailed me saying he can no longer issue a refund as the vendor has been paid out and is refusing to acknowledge the fault! I was fuming!! This went completely against what both he and Wendy said when they inspected the car in my presence. I then got a call from Wendy when she returned from holiday as I requested this urgent. At first she emailed me. (it's obviously easier emailing as you don't have to bare the brunt of the customers anger after point blank lying to their face!). "Sorry but you have to pick your car up. We've paid the vendor and the vendor won't do a refund! Its been discussed in house and thats the final decision." I asked, "why the f wud the vendor offer a refund? My payment went to BCA! "
Needless to say I was very annoyed. Why was I told to leave the car there if BCA was going to ring me a week later and tell me there's now nothing they can do? What about the fact BCA were negligent of failing to describe a vehicle accurately? Why did the on site manager come out to the car with Jamie and both after hearing the engine noise asked me to leave the car there. Whats more Jamie even got a mechanic to come out and inspect the car! So I asked this to be escalated to Barry Watts.
Weeks passed by. Numerous messages left (all logged and recorded). Eventually I got a call. Barry asked me to send him a video of the car running which I did via WhatsApp. I was told he'd be in touch by the end of the day. Another week passed. Left numerous messages again for Barry to call. I then got a call from Barry! It started very friendly. Then the tone changed. I got told there's not a lot he can do as the car was an essential check. I asked him 2 questions:
1.Why did he not mention this before asking for the video?
2. Why was engine noise not mentioned on the report?
Then I got told "well at the time of the sale the car was fine and if its faulty when the customer collects not a lot BCA can do!"
In that case why not highlight all essential reports in green? If the customer can't claim and BCA can hide behind the excuse of "it was fine when it went through the sale" surely this is a win win for BCA! He then went on to explain "what do you expect when it says engine smoking and its done 100k miles!?!" I said I expect it to be described as engine rattling and not smoking. In other words describe it accurately! Not a lot really is it considering I cant see the car until I've paid for it. I wanted to know why a car that has a serious engine issued isn't highlighted in Red on the essential report AND WHY THE ENGINE RUNNING WAS HIGHLIGHTED IN GREEN!? Apparently Barry has been a mechanic and he felt the car was "nothing major!"
The conversation then began to get heated. I'm guessing this is the norm when you raise valid points(it appears that others have experienced similar actions).
I didnt even get on to the fact that the interior was worn. And this too was not mentioned on the report. The OBD panel was broken and it was clear someone had been at it! Needless to say that didn't matter!
I was told BCA would be very generous and deliver the car for free! THATS 5 STAR SERVICE RIGHT THERE FOR YOU! I said "No thanks! Keep it on site. I'm happy taking this legal!"
When I asked to escalate beyond Barry I was told there is no one is above him! It goes legal! I've got friends in the trade.I know this isn't true! Who's the PA the the CEO?
This is honestly a shambolic organisation. Your custom is really not appreciated. I've seen enough people on social media tell of their horror stories but I think its about time BCA are exposed on Watchdog/TV. I'd really like to see/hear from the top bosses. The CEO Avril needs to come out of hiding and answer to the people who make her millions! In all my experience I have never seen such a terribly run organisation.
So back to where I've reached with my claim. Barry said he was going to speak to Wendy at Bedford and "discuss what was said." Why? Hasn't this already taken place before you took the claim on Barry? I think what he really meant was "its Friday and its 6pm. I want to go home!" I think we all know how this is going to end!

Been buying cars from BCA for 36 years

Been buying cars from BCA for 36 years, never before have I had to deal with such a shockingly run company it was bearable before covid but now horrendous the ball is always in there court with no negotiations whatsoever absolutely nobody cares, it’s a case of take it or leave it, I’m currently buying my stock elsewhere, hope one day soon it will come back to haunt them and they fold, The buying fees are the highest out there,
And it’s almost impossible to speak to someone at any level. Should be 0 stars!

I am in the motor trade

I am in the motor trade, camper conversions, I was told by many people to avoid BCA but opened an account anyhow, to buy online possibly, there's a shortage on the market of used vans, so in desperation bought one online bca UK gcr which I believe are the ones bought by BCA as we buy any car .com and sold through the auction. PLEASE do not make the same mistake as me listen to this advise and Avoid BCA the vehicle I bought is only fit for spares needs gearbox and extensive welding, numerous other faults. not sure how it passed its last mot but is being investigated £2000 out of pocket after selling on for spares

Being a customer of over 33 years and…

Being a customer of over 33 years and never having any problems with BCA, things have changed for the worse, ever since they have stopped having physical auctions. Auctioneers under pressure to get as many cars/vans sold as possible giving incorrect details and NOT describing vehicles correctly is really bad for business. Just look at your reviews on this site, no customer care whatsoever, come on bca its not hard to do the job right.
