Grand theft auto
Without doubt the worst job I’ve ever had,i worked for BCA on a self employed basis for only two weeks and five months later have still not been paid,no help whatsoever and with negative reviews of 1 star for 92% of contributors I only wish I’d read this first. Absolute thieves.
British car auctions Bankrupt me !
British car auctions Bankrupt me !! Back in 2019 over 3 cars that were arranged to be paid back within a couple of months via second charge on my home this was agreed and then within two weeks without notice they issued proceedings after agreeing to the terms arranged . DISGUSTING LOW LIFE TWO FACED EVIL COMPANY .. Like dog muk on my shoe all of them and who work there !!
My son bid on a car by mistake with my…
My son bid on a car by mistake with my account, he was meant to just be 'looking'. I phoned BCA that day and explained the situation. Their response was basically pay us the money or we'll terminate your account and send it to a debt collector. Which they have done. No chance will some big dumb gorilla be getting any money out of me, they can take a running jump for it. Just try me
every car you buy from them is rubbish…
every car you buy from them is rubbish ,i stopped buying from them so as lot of my traders friends ,they can not be trusted , all they do is bid against bidders up the price and hammer down
BCA Paying Slave Wages to trade plate drivers.
I stopped dealing with British Car Auctions years ago when they brought in buyer's fees, meaning car buyers had to pay them a fee on top of the actual sales price bid - this sum was described as a management fee - disgusted car buyers called it 'for handing over the keys money, the sums involved were around £500 a time!
Recently 2023, British Car Auctions have been advertising for trade-plate drivers to collect and deliver cars for them, most companies pay a minimum of £1.00 per mile one way only, and some companies pay £2.00 a mile, (you hitch-hike back, or get the bus at your expense) random minimum earnings are: Leeds/London £200 / Glasgow £200 / Cardiff / £230 @ £1-00 per-mile, double these amounts can be earned if you ask around. BCA is offering £20 per vehicle moved, plus nominal expenses. The earnings are so poor £00- 20 pence per mile, they are struggling to find drivers to work for them. In two recent phone calls their staff appeared embarrassed to reveal what they pay, or willing to give further and better details.
Every single car I bought from them…
Every single car I bought from them has…
Every single car I bought from them has issues, their conditional report and insured reports are absolutely inaccurate.
Every single claim I made for the supridsed faults within 24h , they rejected it, last vehicle I bought was supposed to have adblue light indicator based on report, however delivered as Non runner from Blackbushe branch, I did not accept the delivery as the driver confirmed the vehicle is Non runner.
I bought the vehicle as straight purchase Not an under hammer auction.
However after chasing matter, Blackbushe Manager try to avoid it and force to believe what she thinks it right in thier false report.
they try to scape from thier false information in the report and binding buyers to their untrue reports as part of their policy.
I will stand by this case to take the matter to court this time.
Their cars are sold as not described and unfair consumer acts 1979.
Please don't ignore your losses due to their negligence.
There is law to protect buyers, they can't force ANYs in their contracts
They must correct thier contracts to protect buyers too.
They must have an headoffice to dealt with customer complaints rather than keep passing buyers to the benificial branches which is in charge of negligence to deal with issues, of course they will avoid to cases.
If I could of put 0 stars I would have,I…
If I could put 0 stars I would have,I am absolutely appalled and fuming with bca car auction, nearly every car I have purchased from them in the last 6 months has had a fault with it even though the bca report doesn’t say so.
After the covid pandemic bca has become pointless,I purchased a Mini Cooper which the report said that there was nothing wrong with the car,I arranged for it to be delivered to me and waited around a week to be then told that the head gasket was blown,it was a nightmare trying to get my money back and had to wait nearly two weeks, funny how they take your money straight away but make you wait two weeks to get it back.
Last week I bought a Renault Clio with both bca assured reports and no problems with full service history,I wasted a whole day and a £150 travel expenses to go pick the car up from Measham, done a few checks while I was there, whilst checking the oil dipstick for the oil condition, the oil was as black and gunky as tar, the interior was a disgrace and the carpet was coming up (funny how they use old cameras from 2005 but not 4k to take pictures in 2023 as they don’t want you to see the true condition of the car, I contacted reception to be told that the car actually never had any service history even though the service book was stamped which is fraud,it is absolute disgrace and now I have to wait to see what the outcome will be,total waste of time, money and effort,if I don’t get compensated for my loss of earnings and travel expenses I will not be using bca EVER again and will be taking legal against them as my solicitor has advised me that I have a strong case as a consumer. Also it seems that Bca have used the covid pandemic to there own advantage and to con people more, hence the reason why they don’t let you come in and bid personally in auction and everything is now online only.
I believe that they have a fake online bidding system. You have been warned…
Scammers!
Scammers!! Can't wait for Astonbarclay.net to take over. Promised delivery took 2 weeks and product not as described
Just been scammed by bca paddock wood…
Just been scammed by bca paddock wood branch, I have collected a car today, it’s a gearbox faulty car, dripping oil from underneath, reverse gear doesn’t work, and smoke was coming out from the engine due to oil dripping, I recorded a video and sent it to them,I have called them and explained everything but they said it’s bca essential check and I can’t make claims, so if the bca essential check says everything is good mechanically not single issues showing on the bca essential check, so why does the car come as a gearbox faulty, oil dripping so bad I kept cardboard underneath the car to save my driveway, they said soon as the vehicle out of the gate than that’s it you can’t claim, is it fair that they hide these faults and sold car on bca paddock wood auction, also I have arranged delivery for another car and I have requested for cancellation and refund the money because I dont want to take risk buying car from this branch but they refused it, can anyone help me with this please, this so dangerous to drive this car with gearbox fault and especially high oil dripping because once the engine gets hot smoke come out from the engine from the oil dripping.
Beware Scam Only company
I purchased Discovery Sport and It's Windscreen Damage. It's never mention in Report and It's fake report. It's not accepted claim
Avoid - they sell cars full of water
They sell you cars that are full of water in the boot and waterlogged carpets. Will be telling all my friends and family to avoid like the plague. Disgraceful.
Absolutely the worst!
It Just Gets worse
After being a loyal BCA buyer for over 40 years, I can’t believe the way they treat their customers. The customers service and Assured team are totally useless at resolving issues and are mostly unobtainable.
The last strew came when we purchased a Mercedes for almost 10k and they tried to deliver it as a none runner on skates, despite the Assured report, saying it’s a runner. They try to wash their hands of the issues, and pass you around different people.
Other cars are sold with wrong descriptions. Surely if BCA want to evolve as an on line selling platform, they need to do far better.
There are other better Auction companies, that are better to deal with, including Manheim, Aston Barclay, City Auctions, to name but a few, that are more honest and better to deal with.
We bought a toyota avensis with clean…
We bought a toyota avensis with clean essential check report from bca enfield, we booked for collection and paid for recovery. While on the day of collection and was waiting for more than one hour, finally they said that the car is a non runner . We agreed to make a claim, after 2 days they called us and said that your claim is rejected and they can’t do anything. My question is why we need to pay these much amount for a non runner car? Are they fooling or cheating their customers ? We are stuck in middle. Can anyone suggest us what we want to do next??
I bought a car from bca with bca check…
I bought a car from bca with bca check ✔.
I collected the car with excessive oil leak No v5🤬 trible customer service. I was promised to sort out the issue within 48 hours.
It took them 15 day after lots of email and phone calls to accept liability for misrepresentation.
They are trying to take the care back without compression.
They are absolutely nightmare when it comes to faulty and claims 😫.
Waste of time...
Waste of energy...
Waste of money...
They are not putting faults in the report inorder push the price up...
This is the reply to my complaint!

Another bad experience
So, after my last review when British Car Auctions didn’t turn up to pick up my lease vehicle I was assured things would be different this time. I took another day off work to wait in for the inspector and the recovery truck. The inspector turned up bright and early and inspected the car as planned and told me the recovery truck driver would call me. After a couple of hours of hearing nothing I called British Car Auctions I was told again that the driver would call me. To cut a long story short I called 4 times only to be told the same thing, if I hadn’t called there would have been zero communication. I have now lost another days pay and the car is still sat on the drive waiting for collection. British car auctions sort your selves out. I am now letting down my customers because of you.
Liars Stealers, purely stole my moneys
Liars. Rips off. Car was returned because bca assured report was lie. We found 30 fault on the car. 8k bill to repair electric motors. Took 7 weeks till done refund, but stole £50. Basically didn't refund for assured report. They say that's them policy lol. So basically policy is don't do inspection on the car. Then don't refund for that inspection. I don't understand what trading standards does. Just tries to close small dealership because of brake pads wearing thin. When Bca steal money in the midday and say that's the Policy.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service, trying to put a vehicle to auction , filled out the forms, said they will contact me, but they never did, rang their central customer services several times , they try to get through to Measham and can't, they take my number and no one ever calls me back. Been going on for 5 weeks. I even wrote to their chairlady and she ignored me as well.
Purchased a Mini Cooper
Purchased a Mini Cooper. Their condition reports are a scam.
showed no issues in appraisal reports but car had several issues won’t refund my Money.
Waited 6 weeks to speak to Center manager Kirsty very rude but still won’t refund. Filed claim to court for faulty goods and miss description finally got my money back.

ILLEGAL CONTRACT
As a former office worker I would tell no one to work for BCA.
IF THEY ARE OFFERING YOU A SELF EMPLOYED CONTRACT DONT TAKE IT. ITS AN ILLEGAL CONTRACT WHAT THEY HAVE RECENTLY BEEN IN COURT FOR.
No GDPR followed
Unprofessional
They have no kit so you won't be able to start.
Under paid wages.
AVOID.
