Still waiting for a refund almost 2 years later
Purchased tickets for Bonfest in late 2019 for the event in May 2020 which was cancelled because of the pandemic. Despite being entitled to a refund, as of December 2021 I am still waiting for my refund of £100 from BPT UK. Emailed them, messaged on Facebook and even sent a recorded delivery letter with no response. Certainly on Facebook they have read my messages but ignore them. What makes it worse is I was unemployed for a year.
An absolute disgrace and abomination of a company. I highly recommend never booking any event through them due to their appealing customer service. Thieves.
UTTERLY DISGRACEFUL BEHAVIOUR.
Over a year since event was cancelled and not a hint of a refund. They've taken their phone line down and don't respond to emails.
UTTERLY DISGRACEFUL BEHAVIOUR.
Do Not Use Brown Paper Tickets
Used their platform to sell tickets, have waited 4 weeks since the event and still have not received the money, around $1,400. Likely a scam, check out their Better Business Bureau page. It's a joke they call themselves the "fair trade ticket platform."
Not paying refunds
As many people before, event was cancelled in 2020, transferred to late 2020 & cancelled again when further 2021 date announced (which was cancelled).
Requested refunds numerous times from Brown Paper Tickets but never got anything more than an automated response. Raised a chargeback with my Credit Card company who refunded me the money.
Book through someone else.
An untrustworthy organisation
Two events were cancelled in 2020 where I requested refunds from Brown Paper Tickets. There was no response from them. In the end, I had to raise an issue and my Credit Card company refunded me the money.
Do not trust this company.
This is the most confusing ticket…
This is the most confusing ticket service I have ever used. Won't use them again. If you opt for mobile ticket and then that doesn't work you would think you can print the tickets. But no, that doesn't seem possible. Transfer to a friend worked for one friend but not the other. It's a mess.
Do not use this firm
Please do not purchase tickets from this firm. We booked tickets for an event last year which got cancelled due to covid and over 20 weeks later we still have not received a refund. They don’t have a customer service telephone number and don’t respond to any emails.
BEWARE event producers
BEWARE event producers! Do NOT use this service. They will not pay what they owe you. They are stealing from artists and consumers. They do not return calls or emails. NO support. NO ethics. CANCEL.
I do not trust them
I do not trust them. Purchased Bonfest tickets from them. Concert cancelled. I have been asking for months for a refund. At first they promised a refund. Said they were busy giving refunds. Now, no response at all.
Ignoring all communications and haven't refunded cancelled event
Long story short...
I purchased tickets in February for an event due to take place in May. Alas, the event got cancelled because of Covid.
Brown Paper Tickets were notified by the organiser of the cancellation in April. They said refunds would be issued in two weeks. It's now about to tick into July and no-one has got their money back.
Brown Paper Tickets have ignored all further attempts to contact them by the organiser and haven't even bothered to respond to any of my emails or messages. And they have shut down their UK customer services including the phone line.
Yes, it is a hugely difficult time for the events industry but this is appalling customer services, especially from a supposedly ethical company. It's people like me who were trying to support local events that are out of pocket.
Given that, the organiser is no longer going to use them for ticket sales.
The only option I'm left with is to do a chargeback through my bank. Fingers crossed.
Fair Trade Real Tickets
I have purchased tickets from this fair-trade ticketing company on a number of occasions. Not only have I been very impressed with the service, they actually deliver physical (real) tickets by post. The tickets are not actually printed on "brown paper" as one might expect, but they are very appealing.
