BT Email Madness

I am completely frustrated by constantly having to sign in to BT email. I’m forced into doing it twice each time! Security is important but this is completely ridiculous. I’m searching for another provider.

BT E-Mail UNUSABLE and Awful

Well what can I say BT e mail is an absolute disgrace of a service! I have been a customer for 40 years and this last few months have driven me MAD since the ‘Upgrade’ and I use the term VERY loosely. It just does Not work at all ! Error messages every 30 seconds - time outs constantly and I cannot delete more than 50 messages?? What is that all about. The software must be written by poorly trained programmers. This service has cost me money as I just cannot work with their e mail on my PC at all . How do I get compensation for a service that is unusable in its current form.

I’m off

I’m off. It will be a pain to switch to another email address but £120 /year for this awful new system is a waste of money. Can’t list or select by alphabetical order, can only delete a handful of emails at a time, how this is an improvement escapes me.

Suddenly close my account …

I have using their broadband for last 2 years. Suddenly they cut down my connection and closed my account without saying anything. They didn't even inform me anything before closing account. Whenever I contacted their customer service, every time they are different different stories and still I'm without any Internet connection for last 3 days. I can't even take any new connection because of someone else taken over my connection. I can't understand the problem. What shall I do ?

Diabolical email service

Hi, been with bt for many years, but since they have altered how you CAN not access it it's time for me to leave.
Trying to log in is hopeless, takes nearly 30 minutes every time, it tells me to delete cookies every time, which I started doing after every session.
But now it's still just as bad.
All in all.
BRITISH TELECOM YOU ARE SUCKING FHIT
ANOTHER LOST CUSTOMER.

BT internet has suddenly become total rubbish

BT internet has suddenly changed and is almost unusable now, every single thing goes wrong. I didnt ask to change but suddenly I can't search, I can't format my emails, it crashes all the time? WHAT IS GOING ON. No easy way to tell them so I decided to find Trustpilot and say what I think.

Awful

Since the upgrade the system is dreadful. It doesn't load properly, automatically ticks the next email which sometimes results in emails being deleted in error and as for using the folders, it's a nightmare. If you so much as touch outside of the specified area it cancels everything and you have to start all over again. BT this is a downgrade not an upgrade. Please sort this mess out.

BT Mail now almost unusable!

You start typing and the cursor suddenly jumps back to the start. If, like me, you look at the keyboard as you type, then you may not notice until it is too late and then you have to cut and paste, but some of the text has anyway disappeared! Also sometimes, although you have typed correctly, what appears on the screen is complete Gobbledygook! The old system was pants, but the upgrade is even worse!

BT - Bloody Terrible

More useless, backward 'tweaks' to my BT mail. It's been terrible since they left the Yahoo platform - and is even worse now! Are all their IT and engineer staff on crack cocaine or something? Clueless clowns the lot of them to roll this garbage out.

Upgraded? Rubbish!

The "upgraded" email is a downgrade in my opinion. Takes twice as long to long in, if you can find the page to log in from! Folders have disappeared or are very difficult to find, groups are very difficult to manage, the list goes on. I had a chat with an assistant and he even said they were struggling with it. PLEASE PLEASE reverse the upgrade and give us back our relatively easy-to-use system!

Bt's email before the upgrade was bad enough, this is simply an appalling service in 2024. I use folders all the time due to hundreds of emails everyday, you now have to use a drop down box to find the various folders which decides when scrolling to disappear so you have to start again. It also automatically self ticks various emails, and if you don't notice you send those emails to folders you do not want them in. Logs out randomly, looks awful, BT please sort this rubbish out.

Avoid

BT email has recently undergone what they call an 'upgrade', but as a result has gone from being annoying to virtually unusable. It now takes twice as long to log in, and every week or so they seem to lock my account because of an alleged unauthorised attempt to log in (which invariably turns out to be me). I then have to change the password, which means that it changes so often I can never remember it. But much worse, they have deleted two of my folders, and everything in them (fortunately not very important) has disappeared without trace. Avoid if you possibly can!

Its PANTS

I am so glad I looked at the reviews here - now I know I am not suffering alone. This paid for e mail service is not fit for purpose the number of glitches since the face lift make it almost unusable. I am wondering if BT would like to offload their E Mail service and so hey are doing nothing about getting this absolutel cr*p up to speed. It really is PANTS!!

It's so sloooooow. 🐢

I hadn't had any problem with my emails until BT updated the page, since then it has been abysmal. It takes ages to load and to try and write an email is horendously slow. The rep tried to blame it on my computor but there are so many customers complaining. Come on BT your charging customers enough so do something about it.

Their E Mail is apsolutely hopeless

Their E Mail is apsolutely hopeless. Since they changed it earlier this year, you have no option to stay logged in to it, so every time you go on it you have to log in twice, and then on doing so takes forever to load the page,and whilst doing so you get that stupid annoying BT logo changing on the page. If you are in an area with even a less than strong signal, it won't load up at all. The old system was far better, so why change to this rubbish.
