worst email service ever!

I’ve been with bt email for all my life and I’m not sure I can recount a single day where it actually worked! single-handedly the worst email out there, the app never works, there are constant login problems. I’ve had emails go missing or not come through. My current main problem is getting notifications of emails coming through but not being able to see them on the app for a few days. 10/10 would NOT recommend!

Total and unbelievable complete failure…

Total and unbelievable complete failure either to provide serice or to explain why not / how to circumvent. No customer support, no explanation, no nothing - beyond belief as to the havoc that results for users on top of the frustration and desperation when your e-mails simply disappear and there is no way to know why or how to get them back. A real disgrace.

would rather take a petrol shower while playing with matches than use BT again.

same as previous folk been with BT and talk21 for years and years been loyal to them for over 25 years. longer than my youngest son has been alive at 19. even upgraded to premium for year on talk21. have my business account with them for my emails also for over 20 years. went through the bt yahoo period etc etc. and now its a contstant joke trying to get logged in total hit and miss. now saying the server is down when doing a check tonight. cant get logged in cant get onto look at what jobs ive got tomorrow for work. this is pathetic. steer clear im now going to start looking at porting all emails over to a reputable company. RIP talk21.com

The new BT is mail system is appalling. Have had an e mail address with them for some time. It's like getting into Fort Knox to access e mails. Takes far too much time. It's like going back in time. Don't like the format of new mail system. Delayed typing too. Come on bt. You're failing your customers

Still no better 3 months after my last…

Still no better 3 months after my last review. Would give it less than 1star if available. Emails not available again today. No update from BT. Emails crash all the time, don't open properly, hang in mid air. Worst service ever. Don't know what the upgrade did to the system but they shouldn't have bothered.

Been with BT for over 30 years since…

Been with BT for over 30 years since the internet first came out. The e-mail despite its 'upgrade' is rubbish, can't access business e-mails, holiday info. Won't let me log-in into 'MY BT ACCOUNT' to choose E-mail. System is way behind other providers now and very expensive. Leaving for a better provider.

Completely fault ridden system

Why have BT replaced a perfectly good system, which was stable in its performance, with this load of software rubbish. The cursor constantly jumps back to the start of the email, meaning you cannot touch type messages at all without constantly checking what the cursor is doing. If you do more than one carriage return at the end of a paragraph the whole text changes font and size! It no longer gives you the option of staying signed in, so in the course of a day's work you repeatedly have to sign back in. Multiple clicking through to delete unwanted mail now has to be done very carefully now whereas before it was a very clean operation. Other issues are small niggles and I think these major ones are the best to report. Even though I'm on fibre the speeds are also atrocious!

Okay for me

Just read a few of the terrible reviews about BTinternet and was worried that I wouldn't be able to easily log into my account. Just logged in with no problems and no hassle. So maybe I was just lucky but I'm not seeing any issues.

Disgraceful

Disgraceful - been with BT for over 12 years and have had no issue, recently i've tried logging in only to be told that there's been a security breach and my account is suspended?? Took me through security questions and it's the same one I have used for over 12 years and it failed to register my details. My password has not changed, what's happened to BT, I have my broadband with BT, thinking of cancelling now all of the packages and going with Virgin, terrible service, no warning, just decided to suspend my account. I've since had to change my details with my work as I've had to open up another email account with another provider. BT you have lost a valuable customer, never use you again. Terrible service and a scam that you want me to pay to phone customer service for blocking my account for no apparent reason. I only use my email for work reasons. Disgusting service!!

Constantly logging me out of email. This has been going on for months. Log in page changing from old to new and back again. No option on the new login page to 'stay logged in'. Best described in three words ... crap, crap, crap.

The new BT Mail login is a total time…

The new BT Mail login is a total time wasting nightmare. Like most other system providers they deem it necessary to change something, for the worse, to satisfy the personal whims of people who probably don't use the systems anyway. They certainly don't seem to test them before implementaion or they may realise the faults. I say this after a 50 year career dealing with the planning, implementation and training of new bespoke systems.

BT I wish I was still with Virgin

My internet went down on Thursday evening. I rang after 2 callbacks I finally got a person. they had me on my hands and knees for 30 mins they conceded i needed an engineer unlike virgin media BT engineer do not work weekend I was told I had 2 wait 2 working days they are due to come on Monday, so I got a weekend no internet or TV as the packages they sell are all internet based so have nothing for the weekend appauling service

The new login procedure is complete and utter rubbish

The new login procedure is over-complicated and completely unnecessary. It now takes longer to log in than to read the emails. Why do I have to prove I'm not a robot only to be told my login details are wrong (they are not - they get accepted when I've proved I'm not a robot several times). It may be a free service, but that's not an excuse for making it a crap service.

New email upgrade is abysmal

New email upgrade is abysmal. Had to change my email password four times in one week. If you do anything other than read your emails such as delete or report spam, it throws you out and then gives some error code which it then ignores. I'm paying for premium getting Vauxhall Conference - totally rubbish. Same as all 'new and improved' systems - totally crap. What a nightmare!!!!

I agree with most of the previous comments about the new email...to call it an 'up' grade is a misnomer. This email service is not fit for purpose. Personally, this is not a free service as I pay a monthly direct debit. Teething problems could be excused but this has been taking place over 6 weeks now and is not good enough. Trying to access tickets or bookings from my phone when I am visiting venues is embarrassing as it takes so long to access. It's no better on the PC. The helpdesk were pleasant but it has made no difference.

BT webmail downgraded to abysmal

Tried getting used to the e-mail "upgrade" for a week. What a dreadful user experience! I rang BT this morning to register a formal complaint. They couldn't have been less interested and sent me an email within one hour to inform me that they have closed my complaint without any contact with me. However they did remind me of their cancellation charges if I left BT.

After "Too many requests" last week and…

After "Too many requests" last week and now this morning I cannot access it again with "BT mail isn't working right now" one has to wonder what the hell is going on. Have had BT for over 15 years now with hardly any issues, they change the format, and now it's a lottery as to whether I will be able to access my e-mails.
