i used this to book my holiday hotel and it was great

Budgetplaces -
1. Charged my credit card for the deposit.
2. Send me an email saying that my credit card didn't work (after successfully charging it) and I needed to contact the hotel directly.
3. I contacted the hotel immediately, and they told me my reservation was cancelled.
4. Budget places refuses to refund my deposit, even though they cancelled the reservation after I followed their instructions.
On a side note, they also asked me to send credit card information over email instead of via a secure portal.
In general, terrible business practices.

Book it and had change my date and there was no problems at all about that so was very happy

I haven't experienced a worst booking like this before.. i reveived an email saying that the hotel cannot access my credit although the budgetplaces deduct 20 dollers at the time of booking through the same card. As i received the email saying that the hotel cannot acces ur credit card and the hotel have the authority to cancel my booking which is just like the day before my arrival. As i didnt had time to waste i had to cancel that hotel. Now they deducted the full amount from my SAME CREDIT CARD. Is in that funny. So you guys are just playing tricks just to get the money for free.... and at the timof booking it says free cancelation tooo... good job guys...

The pictures of the rooms they are selling are NOT the ones you get. There is nothing more to say. Now they are refusing to refund the deposit and unwilling to accept mistake. Stay away!

My sister booked the YMCA Hotel in Flushing through this site and when I called them two hours before arrival they said I wasn't on the list, but would "check with their supervisor". Obviously I wasn't going to turn around and skip out so I drove the rest of the way down and thought if they saw my confirmation number they would surely have at least one room ready for me. Low and behold when I arrived they said that we still weren't on the list, even after showing my confirmation number. They accepted my payment and didn't have the thoroughness to even BOOK ME INTO MY HOTEL. 0/10 would not use.

Is the cheapest site to book hotels and is easy to use

I searched for wuite some time on the internet for rooms at Liverpool, for a pal's birthday, it was for 3 adults. The costs were high and the service from one particularly known hotel chain was very poor indeed. I found a flat in the centre for Liverpool with Budgetplaces and called. The lady on the otherside of the phone was excellent, happy and helpful - a great combination. WIthin 24 hours and as detailed by Buidgetplaces, I had a further call to run through the details and secure the booking fully - fantastic. Could not ask for a more stress free service.

I cancelled a reservation number 13681622 which I received a email confirmation that " You will receive a credit of C$44.55 to use towards the online pre-payment for future reservations at budgetplaces.com (credit valid for 6 months)"

However, no such credit appear in my account with budgetplaces after login. My bank confirmed that the amount was deducted from my card, yet it was not credited to my account.

I'm trying to make a new booking with the credit, pls look into it immediately for me to tulsi what was already paid to your company.

I booked a hotel (Ritter Hotel - Frankfurt) a non-refundable contract for 3 nights and after some hours I wanted to negotiate with the hotel because I did not want to go there. The booking was done several weeks in advance ...

Neither the hotel or the website has responded to my petition to negotiate a cancellation, so this is the last time I use this service.

I do not recommend neither the website nor the "Ritter hotel - Frankfurt" !!!!

I must share my experience of using budgetplaces.com for booking hotel.
I went to London for an exam next day morning.
Unfortunately, the hotel I booked was the only hotel available near my exam venue and I had no choice.
I landed in London late in the evening.
I was told that the hotel is fully booked and there is no vacancy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is despite telling the Eastern European guy at the reception that this is a pre-booked, confirmed reservation.
He took me on a long late evening walk (with my luggage) through shady areas in and around Kings cross station to another hotel owned by his other Eastern European friend. This hotel was slap bang next to the main road, which was buzzing with traffic all night.
the room had a single window, which couldn't be closed air tight.
I didn't manage to shut my eyes all night, let alone sleep
I was dozing off in the exam and some how managed to keep myself awake.
It was no surpsrise that I have failed in an exam for the first time in my life.
What this website does is, it is only interested in that middleman commission that it collects at the time of online booking. The room rental is what you pay at the time of check out. This website doesn't care about its customers. It has no control over the hotels it sends its customers to nor there are any quality checks. Its a complete fake

It is basically a nice system, but it would be better for instance to know the check-in timing before completing the booking (especially when planning to arrive late at night).

Used this site to book good value accomodation for a night in Seville. Process was very straightforward. Would definitely use again.

I booked a b&b from this website. All was fine, I paid a deposit of €12 and 2 days before my stay I got an email to say they have cancelled my reservation.
Why offer a service you cant provide.
