Excellent Service & Food

We have used Buffetbox twice for business events and both time everything has been excellent. The price is good, the delivery was on time, the food arrives in a box with cooling blocks and insulated so that it remains cool until needed. The sandwiches were made with good ingredients and quality bread, everyone enjoyed them and took note of the company to use themselves. This company's service was excellent and provided catering with ease causing me the least stress when catering for an event.

Don’t bother!!!

Don’t waste your time or money.
We ordered a load of sandwiches for a garden party 2.7.23, after email correspondence with the company they confirmed the food would be delivered before 1030 on the 2nd for an extra £20 delivery fee. 1030 came & went with no delivery, my husband checked the tracking which said due for delivery on the 3rd. No one in the office for us to speak to & with only an hour until guests were arriving I had to do a last minute panic buy. It’s now 12pm the following day, still no delivery & no call/email from the company.

Dishonest company did not admit mistake

We ordered a £200 box of mixed food for a family funeral wake. The day before the funeral, we received an email informing us that our order had been 'cancelled'. This email was beside another one that said our order was 'confirmed'. We had no idea which was correct, and couldn't risk having no food for the wake. Cue a stressful trip to the supermarket to buy £160 worth of replacement food for the wake, at 9pm the night before the funeral.

The next day, the buffet box order DID arrive. We weren't able to return the food we'd bought at the supermarket the night before, as it was mostly perishable food. When we contacted Buffet Box Online to complain, customer service told us that 'no error has been made at our end' - they said the cancellation email was just because they were adding a box to the order, but how on earth were we supposed to know that? There was zero explanation given, and then they wouldn't even admit to their error. Their error cost us £160, and they rather insulting said that no error had been made, when it very much had. They then offered us a £10 voucher off our next purchase. There will be no next purchase. This company made a basic administrative error that had huge cost repercussions for their customer, and then when challenged, would not even admit their mistake. It was not just unprofessional, but dishonest.

Hi David,

Unfortunately that isn't what happened. We did not ever cancel your order, we advised you that we had to issue a new tracking number to order new boxes. We had emailed both before the event and communicated throughout, we could also see from our email tracking that the emails had been opened prior to the day so we had no reason to be concerned that you didn't think your order would arrive. You recieved a cancellation from DPD not from Buffet Box, followed by a new tracking number email immediately.

The order arrived, and we did offer a refund if the products were returned at our cost or a voucher if you wanted to keep the items, as per our refund policy. You chose to keep the items.

We are sorry you were unhappy with the resolution, and we wish you all the best in the future.
