We were with loads of extra luggage for my handicapped husband and we also changed our trip halfway.
Everything was well organised in detail.

Transportation of the wheelchair was arranged perfectly. On arrival in Tenerife there was no taxi for the transfer to the hotel.

The employee that helped us gave a very personal, spot on advice. In de booking confirmation, lots of useful advice was given. No question was too much. It was even advised to have a personal call with the owner of the appartment complex at the travel agency- to avoid any miscommunications. Due to our circumstances this was not possible, but the level of thinking along with us was impressive. Thank you Tessa!

De medewerkster die ons hielp gaf een zeer persoonlijk, goed advies. In de boekingsbevestiging werd veel nuttig advies gegeven. Geen vraag was te veel. Er werd zelfs geadviseerd om een persoonlijk gesprek te hebben met de eigenaar van het appartementencomplex via/op het reisbureau- om miscommunicatie te voorkomen. Door onze omstandigheden was dit niet mogelijk, maar het niveau van meedenken was indrukwekkend. Dank je wel Tessa!

Travelling with an disabled person to Tenerife. The assistent on the airport was great. The rooms were very nice and the accomedation was on a good spot, close to restaurants and the beach.

We really enjoyed the well-organized trip. To start with, we were very well advised when selecting the trip and they have reassured me enormously - traveling with a wheelchair for the first time.

The selected hotels, especially the Hampton Inn hotels, have met many of our expectations.
Essential for the advice to future travelers is the fact that not all hotels in USA have a 'roll in shower'.
Most have 'in bath shower'. Be aware.

We are very satisfied with the entire setup / route of the trip, the variety of cities and nature was good. The build-up from 'small' to the final Grand Canyon was also perfect.

We found one stage - from Kingsman to Los Angeles - (as also described in travel documents) to be long and, with the exception of Calico Ghost Town, very boring. Interstate 40 is also not an attractive highway.

All in all, we are VERY VERY happy with choosing 'Extraordinary Travel' as a tour operator and you have helped us to have an unforgettable and unfettered holiday!!

I travveled for the fifth time with them and again everything was perfect from start to finish! My wife was a litle hesitant at first because it was the first time she was going on vacation with someone( me) in a wheelchair, but everything turned out perfect!

While the travel propositions from Buitengewoon Reizen seem to be ‘like normal’, they offer spot-on facilities, including (e.g.) transfers for wheelchairs, airport assistance and medical equipment on location. The latter being tailored to our requirements.

In the preparatory phase, Buitengewoon Reizen (henceforth BR), had outlined the different possibilities for our trip to London. On that basis, we could compose our journey. Before leaving, BR had amply informed us as well regarding the boarding procedure on the Eurostar train, including assistance. Traveling by train was a great experience and the hotel BR had booked (Holiday Inn Bloomsbury) was perfectly suited for our needs. Taken together, BR ensured we had a great few days off to London and back.

I had a wheelchair room. De room was good and the balcony too. The bathroom was not perfect: there was not enough space between the toilet and the sink. On one side there was a big handle. On the other side there was only a handgrip. Everyone has his own way to move on the toilet. But you could not place the wheelchair before the toilet. The handgrip was to fare away. The sink was to big and was very difficult to reach the tap. The soap was hanging to high. So I could not use it. The towels were two meters high. How can someone in a wheelchair reach the towels? And there was no shower curtain. If you have to replace yourself from the wheelchair to the bathroomchaire and you take a shower then you have to close a bathroom curtain to protect that the wheelchair is not becoming wet. There was a make-up mirror. Same problem: it was half a meter above the sink. So not useful. The door to open was very heavy. Maybe this is order from the firewhere, but I am sure that there is a solution for this. The swimming pool was okay. I only missed a sign for the swimming pool with the chair elevator for disabled.
My suggestions: make the door easier to open for a wheelchair.
Make more space between the sink and the toilet.
Put an other sink. It is too big to reach the tap.
Or put a longer handle on the tap.
Put all the things like make-up mirror, hand soap , shower soap very low. Think when you doing this that you can’t walk.
Place a shower curtain to project that your wheelchair will not be wet. Because after the shower you have to sitt all day on it.
In the general toilet on the ground floor there were some difficulties too:
The door was very havey. The inside door was not havevy, but you could not close it. Suggestion: put a hand grip on the inside. Then it is easy to close yourself.
The sink and the soap and to dry your hands under the blower is to
high if you sit in your wheelchair.
Suggestion: make at least one part for a person in a wheelchair.
Positive was that there where mobility scooters to hire.

Every evening there was entertainment. This was very nice.
The chairlift in the swimming pool was very good.

I hope if you change things that you think if you can not walk. Then you realise that things are to high or difficult.

We used this travel agency in the past and we decided to book a holiday again. After we booked the holiday there were some hings we wanted differently, but everything was accommodated properly. Since I am a wheelchair user I need some more things than a usual passenger, but again, everything was delivered as requested.

Questions we had during the holiday were answered properly, making that part of the journey stress free, knowing everything was handled.

10/10 would use again.

The ladies of this travel agency really understand what a disabled person in a wheelchair needs for a relaxing holiday. Thanks to 'buitengewoon reizen', we had a wonderful holiday! My mother has MS in an advanced stage, but thanks to all the tools that were available to rent in a hotel and room for disabled people, we really enjoyed ourselves in Lanzarote.

We had a super holiday. Hotel was ok, the weather super. Transfer: although every airport is differently, we had no problems.

We booked a vacation trip in Germany for a wheelchair person. Accommodation were exceptional comfortable. All necessary equipment was available. So we had a very good vacation, completely as expected.
