Don’t expect too much. Some of the staff are woeful with their knowledge and even basic customer service. To be honest I couldn’t wait to leave. Some of the prices are good but compared to my visit t... See more

Online products are never available
Online products are never available, you guys make people chase their tails as it’s not our fault you don’t know how to count your stock as what’s available and what’s not. You guys are terrible service I would not recommend this to anyone, I would rather go to mitre 10 !!
So I made an online order last week…
So I made an online order last week picked up the parcel from our local agent, not sure why I was home all day…. Pick it up thought this box is rather light got home and guess what guys empty box all that was in the box was the instructions. I was pissed off asf so ring up Bunnings they’re going to send another one which I won’t get till next week. So moral of my dilemma don’t purchase online from Bunnings go instore and the good thing my nearest store is 30 minutes away in Whakatane.....just thought I'd add a bit more I spoke to one click and collect person she spoke to another person what for beats me and then a Indian lady spoke what can I do for you? I tell her I'm not repeating myself like good grief Bunnings do better thankfully another product I bought will be delivered hopefully not empty this time....who ever packaged my order why didn't they check it before sending it away I don't know maybe they had a bad day doesn't mean they have to send me nothing doesn't add up and I'm pretty sure I heard some laughing in the background well better not be otherwise....yea I'll leave that to your imagination
I Recommend Bunnings because of the…
I Recommend Bunnings because of the quality of Tools and prices are reasonable. So go check them out well compared to miter10 Bunnings all day
Not environmentally friendly
Today I wanted to buy a scrap piece of gib trim that was on the shelve. They sell them as 3 meter pieces for $16. The piece was only a meter long. The store manager told me that he can’t price it! It’s against store policy. He told me that they will throw pieces like this in the rubbish. I told him that this is not good for the environment and the store or the customer! I only need a short piece but they rather throw it in the rubbish than selling it. What a stupid store policy! Now I am going to get it somewhere else!!
In Bunnings Rotorua
In Bunnings Rotorua, if you need something and know where it is great. If you need to ask the useless staff then don't waste your time, rather go somewhere else. I've been to the store about 7 times to order something that's a special order, there is just NOBODY, the 3 staff hanging around that area are just talking and on there cellphones. ABSOLUTELY USELESS. Bunnings please wake up you loosing millions.
Products vs Service
At Bunnings in Petone you can find a wide range of solutions for the DIY enthusiast, except client service! That's right, don't expect prompt service when you're looking for something specific or even some advice. Late afternoon weekdays are the worst... groups of young staff that group together seem to forget the purpose of them being there. I often find myself pacing the isles looking for help. And when you go to the info desk to call for help someone might respond, albeit without much useful knowledge of the topic. When pricing & product range is toe to toe with Mitre10, perhaps service should be your priority!
My in house experiences have always…
My in house experiences have always been ok,BUT their website is the slowest most user unfriendly piece of $@/× Ive ever encountered.I have quite a drive to get to my nearest Bunnings store, passing a Mitre10 on the way,but I won't be doing that if I'm not sure that Bunnings have what I want
Burnings Services are not I thought - Very disappointed
Burnings Petone refused to refund bolt down kit by saying purchasing has been over a month and package damaged, but assembly service arranged by you was 1 1/2 month delayed, and the condition of package was what it was (to my hand). Over charged me delivering fee by $49 compared with the original quote. I did not check it when paying with other items at Burnings.
Plants infested with nasty bugs!
The plants in the garden center are infested with spider mites. The staff acknowledged this when I showed them, and after I asked them to give the plants I intended to buy a quick spray with insecticide so I don't spread the infestation to the rest of my garden, they refused, and said they will need to get approval from a manager, and there was no manager available and they didn't know when the manager would be back.
I asked a second staff member separately, and got the same response. It's disgusting they are willing to sell plants that can infest the whole garden and aren't willing to do anything about it. When I called to complain, I was left waiting on hold for over 15 minutes before giving up.
They don't care about their customers at all, and I will make it my mission to let everyone I know to avoid Bunnings.
Horrible experience with a bunch of judgmental and racist people! Avoid going there!
I went to the Bunnings WestGate branch to hire a UTE for picking up cladding urgently, as we were missing a few pieces for the next day inspection.
We clearly explained the situation, but the Bunnings WestGate branch information desk staff, Jessie and another staff with boy-style haircut lady, made the process as difficult as possible. It took about 45 minutes to book (again) it after we already booked online. They had no smile and showed no compassion at all.
We missed the pickup window. I'm really upset about the whole ridiculous situation. I fed back to the Westgate store more than 2 weeks ago, no response at all. Guess they don't care much at all.
Horrible experience with a bunch of judgmental and racist people. Avoid going there! Mitre10 is better by miles. I always had a good experience with helpful staff there.
I went to Bunnings on 27/2//2025
I went to Bunnings on 27/2//2025. What s pleasant day - Logan standing there with his very kind smile, you feel welcome in his presence. what a kind warm person - professional. Thank you Logan. Then I went to the tool department. A very kind young man Eckard Niemand treated us with respect and explained the tool we bought with outstanding knowledge. Very well mannered person. Then to the timber cutting section. There was ben. With a smile like that and his respectful way just made my day a kind visit. With staff like these thee men Bunnings can be proud.
Shocking and disgusting they don't respect disability drivers and parking
Bunning have no respect for people with disabilities and parking they don't leave room to get out of the vechile when in a wheel chair the space is not wide enough and the have the gas bottles cage right on the line and other ones the have tool boxes or pallets of wood. Federal laws state that there should be enough room to get disabled people out and use their wheel chair but bunnings don't care they laughed at me and said park away wheres there room and weekends the sausage sizzle is right at the door taking the space needed for people with disabilities. Bunnings is about profit not customers they need the federal government to come in and inspect there carport and size of the parking bays. 2 car spaces for disabled drivers is not enough
I can count on Gisborne Bunnings!
They help make living in Tuai Village possible. Thanks for the candy :)
Hours waiting for call back
Trying to buy a product, checked online and states "in stock" travel to Bunnings Mt Maunganui, none in stock, there isn't even a place for the product on shelf. Staff tell me there's 12 in stock, but don't know where, told 6 in stock in Rotorua, Ring Rotorua to confirm as its an hours drive, after over 5 minutes on hold with no one picking up in the electrical section, I leave my number for a call back. 2 and a half hours later still waiting for a call that I doubt that the staff member can be bothered making. Customer Service is Dead.
Rude, belligerent staff
A staff member named Peter at the Silverdale store behaved in a rude belligerent manner this morning, almost damaging my vehicle at the trade exit.
I would definitely choose to use Mitre 10 in future.
Great Experience with Click & Collect…
Great Experience with Click & Collect at the Hamilton South Branch. I made an order for window film and it was ready really quickly - the collection process was easy. Nobody was at the Click & Collect Counter so we just went to the normal counter.
Click and collect order
Click and collect order, when ordered it stated ready for pickup in 2 hours.
48 hours later I am still waiting fir them to get 2 products down from the high shelves.
Just been into the store and the product is on the floor, but still have to wait for the same product to be brought down from high shelves.
Paid $7 for click and collect, could have purchased same products on same day.
Another example of this company's poor…
Another example of this company's poor customer service standards and b##lsh#t pricing policy.
I went into the Glenfield store earlier today to pick up a DeWalt Cordless Sander. It has been retailing at Bunnings for $526 for month now and just yesturday I noticed The Toolshed had it on special for $484.88. I decided to give Bunnings a chance at meeting their 15% pricing promise. In the store, they like to have all their power tools locked down to their display stands so you can't pick them up and see how they feel (Strike 1). The boxed items are then locked away inside cabinets so you need to go to the counter to ask to buy one (Strike 2). of course the one person on the counter doesn't actually have a key to the cabinet and I would need to wait for some other staff member to open it. that person was apparently busy with another customer so I would have to wait (Strike 3). I didn't have much time to wait so had to leave without it figuring I might be able to get back later in the day.
I was able to get back in the afternoon (5:30ish?) and went through the same issues except the guy with the key was now available to get the box out of the cabinet for me. Then there was the issue that the tools section counter staff could not make a Price Promise transaction and I had to take the box and wait for the Customer Service (lol) team to process the Price Promise.
Now it got interesting. They looked up the Toolshed price and then proclaimed that their price was already lower (What?!?!?!!!!).
Apparently, their system had the tool at $483, even though the pricing displayed in-store and on their website still said $526, they apparently had some price that only they could see. What an amazing coincidence! The minute I asked for a price promise, their price miraculously becames less than their competitor. I smell something that from the farm and it's not cow or sheep.
I asked for a store manager and they weren't available. They called someone else to check what to do and the answer came back something along the lines of "Computer says no..."
This is complete bullocks. Poor customer service. Suspicious pricing policy.
Oh, and today was my birthday, so thanks so very much Bunnings for making it so memorable.
Don't trust this crowd one bit.
I have just seen bunnings 15% discount…
I have just seen bunnings 15% discount if you can find same thing cheaper I found something cheaper and they only tried to find an excuse not to pay up so I went to the opersition and bought it cheeper
Don’t Ask Them to cut timber because…
Don’t Ask Them to cut timber because they won’t went to three stores New Lynn flat out refused to cut two pieces of MDF in half for me would have taken 2 mins and they have done it before for me at least 3 times. Tried other stores but no longer. Mt Roskill and Masseys both had wood cutting machines out of action. Says on their website they cut timber. Gave up and cut it myself with my little hand saw. Guess this is what they hope for.
