Burleigh Travel Reviews 

I booked a place on a rugby festival organised by these guys for a junior team. The communication prior to the event was clear , concise and helpful. I had to make a couple of changes to my original booking and Amy dealt with this seamlessly.
I also had questions from parents which needed a phone call and once again this was all sorted immediately.
The festival itself was extremely well run, bang on time and no hitches.
I’ve asked Burleigh travel to notify me when another one is planned.

Burleigh travel made the experience for our boys truly memorable. Their professionalism before the tour was great despite the Covid pandemic impacting the tour twice. They were quick to transfer us.
On the trip everything went smoothly thanks to Burleigh's hard work, care and commitment. I would recommend them whole heartedly.

Attended Festival at Doncaster today with Wath U14's. Very well organised, lads had a great day & came out runners up of their age section. Would definitely look at booking to attend a tournament like this in future. Thank you from lads & parents at Wath RUFC for a fab day out.

My son is attending a rugby event ran by Burleigh Travel and I am best pleased by how friendly the staff have been with him! He’s having such a brilliant time :) x

DO NOT book with Burleigh travel.
It has taken a long time to post this review as we have tried to obtain over £6000 for a tour for early 2020.
We had 2 Rugby clubs joined together so the under 15s at the time could play rugby. We booked a tour to Doncaster then Covid hit (see Mark Higman review),
The tour never happened, Mr Kite used all his inept business talk and hid behind terms and conditions and kept our £6,000.
When going to court make sure you get legal backing.
Do not feel sorry for this company as not only has he made money from COVID but basically finished our 2 Rugby clubs as the kids have parted ways and no longer play rugby together, so thankyou Mr Kite and Burleigh travel for ruining a Rugby community.

Alex was very helpful getting organizing the preliminary stages of the tour for our overseas rugby team. Unfortunately the timing didn't work well for most parents and we had to put the tour on hold. We will definitely use Burleigh Travel again in future. Small recommendation: give Alex a mobile phone with Whatsap

after continued problems during the COVID pandemic, regarding our U12s rugby tour that was due to take place May 2020, working with the Burleigh Travel team has been a real pleasure. With lots of patients and understanding from the team we are now booked on another rugby tour for 2022. Thank you Burleigh Travel for being so amazing for us.

Burleigh Travel were extremely helpful when organising a tour package, tailored exactly to the what we wanted. It was very reasonably priced and the communication was excellent. I would recommend any club looking for a rugby tour to contact either Scott or Alex who will go above and beyond to help organise a fantastic tour for you.

Alex was brilliant in helping me arrange the tour . Unfortunately it didn’t go ahead due to numbers but if I was ever to think of a tour again we would definitely use Burleigh. Excellent customer service and support !

Despite the current Covid climate and all the extra barriers that has created to travel & organising sporting events, Chris and the Burleigh Travel team worked relentlessly to enable the mini tour, to Croft Farm last month, to actually take place. It allowed not only the team to get together again but actually play several games of rugby at a competitive, yet enjoyable level.

An incredible week in Malta on an unforgettable football tour finally after initially booking for June 2020 with Burleigh Travel. Following the passing of our initial date, Burleigh were very helpful and flexible in putting in provisional dates for June 2021, and then booking in a backup date with concerns about travel restrictions. This flexibility allowed us to travel in September having planned this in advance of the cancellation of the June 2021 rebooking, which was great in allowing us to travel this year. Great communication in the build up to ensure we were confident travelling of all aspects of the tour, allowing us a low stress travel to Malta, and a relaxing experience out there knowing everything was sorted. When out there, we enjoyed an incredible experience in our tough fixture against local opposition at a fantastic venue, and an incredible bonding experience and much deserved break. Looking forward to the next tour already!

We had a very long wait between games - over 2 hours. Spent way more time waiting than playing matches. Think need more pitches.
The seniors should perhaps play on a different day to the children.

Good Afternoon all,
following my previous negative review i thought it was time to do a further update.
Before i start i think it is great that it appears that Burleigh travel are back up and running again and are providing some great tours to rugby clubs across the country.
As I have always stated in my reviews my issues have never been with the wider team at Burleigh or indeed their tours, my issue is with how they have handled tour issues over the last 12-18 months and specifically how their owner Mr Chris Kite has handled things, not only for me, but a large number of rugby clubs both for previous and indeed ongoing tours.
The situation with our issues has now resulted in a confirmed court date in October. for which i have just had to pay the relevant fee, this is clearly on top of everything else i have paid out so far, both in terms of court fees and seeking the relevant advice with regards to my claim.
When rugby clubs contact me with their issues & i have had another one do so just last week, the story is the same thing - Mr Kite "hides" behind terms and conditions - something that clearly is his prerogative, but something which each and every person who has contacted me disputes in their own manner.
As you can also see from a number of the reviews on this site, there is also a trend for Mr Kite to "encourage" rugby clubs to take part refunds / part transfers to new tours and then post positive reviews, - to which Mr Kite then responds as clearly they are positive reviews. Indeed we were offered a similar thing, however refused on grounds of both our principles and the fact that have changes to the make up of our age group.
Anyway, i will not take up anymore of your time - i will update further later in the year in terms of how we fair in court - in the meantime my advice with regards with Burleigh travel is simply when dealing with them to take into account the honest reviews that are on this (and other sites) with regard to how they act, should there be an issue, once they have secured your business and money.

BurleighTravel arranged and managed an excellent 3 day/ 2 night Tour for Dinnington U16 rugby team at the 7's on the farm at the Croft Farm waterpark in Tewkesbury. It was a fantastic weekend away where the team had opportunity to particapte in water sports, socialise and eat together in the clubhouse and around the park, particpate in the 7's tournament followed by an end of tournament BBQ and music event. The team at Burleigh Travel managed all the activities and were available for any support or queries throughout our stay. A great weekend and we will be using Burleigh Travel for our next Tour.

An amazing event hosted professionally and safely in a post-pandemic environment. Rugby on the farm was an overall amazing experience and one that will be a lasting memory. The addition of meeting professional rugby players who were there providing food, drink and entertainment only made the day more enjoyable. I would recommend Burleigh Travel, having been on several tours and events with them as a player, I can assure that you are guaranteed to have a superb time! 10/10.

Went to a really well organised 7’s tournament and everything was all in place for everyone and there was no hanging around all the games ran smoothly and the presentation from berleigh travel was very professional and well presented I would highly recommend this tour company to anyone that’s looking for a very fun and enjoyable time

Wrenthorpe Rangers U16’s football team recently returned from a trip to Spain organised by Burleigh Travel. Despite some restrictions due to Covid the group had a fantastic time. The coach transfers were well organised, the staff at Hotel Samba (Lloret de Mar) were very welcoming and helpful at all times and the team enjoyed all the on site facilities. We had an energetic and fun packed day at Activ Natura outdoors adventure park and finished the trip with a stadium tour at the Nou Camp home of Barcelona FC. Burleigh Travel ensured everything went smoothly for us and made it as stress free as possible. Thank you!

Hi. Some good reviews there for Burleigh but not from us. Still awaiting a court date to get our £10K tour money back. Burleigh even left ABTA rather than refund us. Burleigh's behaviour is not consistent with the values of Rugby. Do not use them as when the going gets tough Burleigh behave badly.

Despite all of the Covid changes, restrictions and concerns the guys at Burleigh still managed to arrange a brilliant end of season tour for us to Croft Farm & Cheltenham North RFC.
Everything went smoothly and the facilities at Croft Farm are brilliant for a touring group. The food was excellent & well managed (own dining area to keep everyone Covid safe), and the Watersports on the final day capped a great weekend!
Thanks all for your hard work & giving our age group a fitting send off from Junior rugby!

We have just returned from a Bank Holiday weekend away on rugby tour with the Stroud under 12s and it was a fantastic experience for the whole family! The accommodation that was organised for us was in Looe, Cornwall and the tournament at Ivybridge RFU. The quality of the accommodation and site was perfect, entertainment, a take away restaurant, a lovely park and pool and lots of open green space for the children to play. The tournament its self was very well organised and the boys had a fabulous time. We'll be buzzing for weeks and will definitely use Burleigh Travel again.
