Stroud Rugby 2022 Tour

Great organisation and accommodation. Really friendly, helpful staff at the tour and the rugby club.

I am the manager at Taunton Typhoons Under 14s rugby team. The team at Burleigh Travel were very good right from the start. They understood our needs, made excellent recommendations and were easy to reach at all times. Our tour was very good with everything promised in place and ready for us. I highly recommend the team at Burleigh Travel and thank them for all their hard work on our behalf.

Yatton rugby club Colts organised their 2022 Belgium Tour through Burleigh travel who did a fantastic job. Not only did they steer us through the post-Covid minefield they also immediately responded to the P&O ferry situation by booking us with an alternate ferry company to ensure our tour could go ahead as planned. The hotel was well located and more than met our requirements, the coach driver was a star and the rugby was excellent. All in all a very happy group of players and Dads. Would definitely recommend Burleigh Travel to others

I got in touch with Burleigh Travel to help organise my university football club's (CUAFC) tour to Malta this year. They were very prompt with their communication and created a tour which was exactly what I was looking for. I had a bit of trouble with unexpected changes to the flights (which I organised myself) and Burleigh swiftly accommodated these changes to the tour itinerary.

Unfortunately, the deteriorating COVID situation in the UK meant I had to postpone the trip for fear of the touring party having to undergo 14 day self-isolation in Malta. I went to Burleigh Travel with this who, despite it being over the Christmas break, called me back and discussed several different options with me. Although they had every right to charge us the 100% cancellation fee, they were incredibly flexible and generous - instead allowing us to postpone and allow the original payments to be transferred over to the new tour. I cannot emphasise enough how important this has been to the financial impact of the club and its members. Overall, their hard-work, honesty, and communication have been amazing. We are now extremely looking forward to a great trip to Malta this March!

We are still waiting for our rugby sports tour refund from April 2020. Burleigh Travel run by Chris Kite and his team are a disgraceful tour operator refusing to refund rugby tours they failed to provide during Covid.

We booked our club minis rugby tour through Burleigh. We spent a weekend at Kingswood, Ashford, Kent - the children really enjoyed the outdoor activities on the Friday and Saturday. The staff at Kingswood were very accommodating - the facilities were clean andtiday and the events were well organised. We played rugby at Ashford RFC on Sunday. The weather was the worst we have ever experienced, such that some local clubs didn't attend. This detracted from the experience a little bit, but overall the weekend was very enjoyable and well organised. Happy to recommend.

Burleigh Travel organised a short weekend tour for our U14s to Doncaster RFC.
The end to end experience was seamless and communication throughout our time on tour and the lead up to it were impeccable. We stayed at Kinsgwood, Dearne Valley, which offered a great range of activities, for the entire party, food and accommodation great! Special mention to Amy, Ryan and Scott who went out of their way to answer any questions. Rugby tournament hosted at Doncaster RFU on the Sunday gave the opportunity to test against teams from other parts of the country. Great time had by all. Thank You Gravesend U14s

Burleigh Travel organised another fantastic trip for our U16s to Doncaster RFC.
We were very impressed with the experience @ Kinsgwood, Dearne Valley, good range of activities, the catering was exceptional and accommodation was clean and comfortable. We were also impressed Burleigh travel staff were on site at both the activity centre and rugby tournament at Doncaster RFU on the Sunday to answer any questions. We are already looking at a European tour with them for the next season

After much delay due to covid we were finally able to go on our Burleigh Travel tour to Ashford recently. The support from Burleigh beforehand and on tour was fantastic and the group really enjoyed their rugby on the final day. Before then the activities and accommodation Burleigh had arranged over the weekend in conjunction with Kingswood Activity Centre were first class. Everyone has a great time. Thank you

Great day of rugby at the festival which was equally well run.
Nothing was too much trouble to arrange if we asked.

Our recent u16’s rugby tour organised by Burleigh Travel was a success on many levels. Players and tour organisers were happy to finally be away and Burleigh made every effort to make it work. Kingswood range of activities worked well even for an older age group and the site was perfect.
Not an easy audience to satisfy but it worked and everyone worked hard to achieve this outcome.

NOSRFC u13s stayed with Burleigh travel attending the Doncaster RFC tournament. On arrival we were met by staff who took time to give us an introduction and site tour. The rooms were clean and better than many venues we have been to previously on tour. The activities were varied and kept the boys interest throughout. The food on site was good quality at every meal and nobody was left hungry. We would recommend and use this venue again.

I organised our tour which was due to originally go ahead back in April/May 2020. The tour was deferred on three occasions, and changes/compromises had to be made, but we eventually got the tour to successfully go ahead last weekend with the help of Burleigh Travel.
As a hopitality business owner myself I appreciate the difficulties that Burliegh (aka Chris) must have been under during the exceptionally difficult circumstances we have experienced over the past 18 months, which is still ongoing. I also understand the frustrations and disappointments that some of the reviewers have had with obtaining refunds due to cancelling their tours.
However, my view is that life is about compromises, especially during adversity, and if we work together then resolutions can be had; we did, they did and we got one!
As a result we had a fantastic tour and I can't thank Burleigh Travel enough for trying their best to make our tour as smooth and stress free as possible.
Our travel arrangements we perfect, the coach was great and our driver (Neil) was a star. The adventure centre was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful, the accommodation was a perfect for us and the quality, range and number of activities were spot on. Also, the food (hot meals particularly) was of surpisingly good quality and quantity. The facilities were also excellent; there was a good bar on site and they even put live musical entertainment on for us on the Sunday night.
In addition we had a very enjoyable and victorious rugby festival at Doncaster RUFC, which was an excellent venue.
Everyone had a great time and I would highly recommend the tour to anyone.

First time at the Doncaster rugby Festival with our U16 West Park Leeds squad. What a great day and well organised throughout with some excellent rugby played and great banter between the squads after such a long lay off from rugby. It was even better to see a proper structured competition giving teams something to play for. Will definitely be recommending Burleigh within the club for all ages moving forward. Thanks to all the team.

Burleigh organised our rugby tour to Doncaster Knights RFC for the Whitchurch RFC U15s and U14s. This included a weekend stay at a fantastic outdoor adventure centre, which also had good facilities for the coaches (i.e. A bar!). The lads had an amazing time and also we're victorious at the festival, both U15s and U14s!
The Burleigh team looked after us really well adapting to the wants and needs of the group.

We booked our initial tour pre-Covid and have had to rearrange a number of times for this reason. At every alteration the guys at Burleigh Travel were in immediate contact with clear and concise information. Furthermore we’re always available for a call as well. Under these circumstances I cannot recommend them highly enough. It’s the second time I have used them and will be using them again for our 2023 tour. We went to the South Yorkshire tournament and stayed at an activity centre, all food was included in our package. Outstanding value, great accommodation and the boys had a brilliant time which is what it’s all about. Great value, great people to work it’s was a pleasure. Thanks for all your help
