The Burpee website has a lot
The Burpee website has a lot to offer, but is not as user friendly as I would expect. If you choose a plant to look at, when you want to go back to the overall view of that category (it shows several photos of similar plants in the same category), it doesn't take you back to where you were. I had to start all over each time - got frustrated. Maybe I'm not using the website correctly - but definitely frustrating.
Also, I clicked on several plants that I was interested in purchasing, only to find that several of them were not available (some said not available in the description, and I didn't click on them, which was helpful). Also, I've had the experience where I was looking for something, got on the page for it, and when I clicked on "show More", there weren't any more! So WHY was I given the option to click to see more? Timewaster! There were more problems, but those I think were my 2 most frequent problems.

Enjoyed shopping but a few things out of stock. But things you don't find locally. Would be nice to have a continue shopping button that puts you back to the exact page before you added the last item to your cart.

Mark the items that are no longer available before having to select them.
I received an email stating that seeds were on sale. 50% of the ones I selected were already sold out and I had to return by hitting the back key every time I lost my settings and had restart my selections again. Wasted a lot of my time! Either mark them sold out or don't show them on the selection pages.

Poor Website
I have been a customer for years. I have placed many orders with your company. Now your website is really bad. I can not access my previous orders nor can I view my wish lists. I have 20 items in my wish list and can only view three.

Website slow, selection limited this year.
Your website is very slow & hangs up often when doing keyword searches. Selection was more limited this year in that many items I wanted to order were unavailable.

Perhaps your website needs some upgrades
I have been a Burpee customer for many years. Perhaps the website was overloaded today, but whatever the reason, trying to place an order and paying for it was excruciating. It's bad enough that it wouldn't accept my password (which I had used this spring), but it wouldn't let me change it. Also, it was almost impossible to navigate through the products. When I finally got to checkout, it took many tries to get to the payment page.

The filters are great but need to allow to sort or filter by Available Now. I had to go back and forth because of out of stock still on the site.

Checkout was cumbersome
I understand that it's the last of the year, so not everything is available.
But the checkout was cumbersome. My password wouldn't work. The preview wouldn't let me look at the entire order. It would scroll for 5 items and stop.
Then it seemed to cycle though the same checkout screens twice before I could finish.

It's the website
I love the seeds and the selection. The customer service is phenomenal. It's the website. It's extremely unfriendly. It can't remember who I am, even though I manually enter my log-in information. I either have to reset my password every time, or log in with Google or Facebook - which I don't like to do.
It can't remember where I was after I click on a listing for more information, or to buy. The site sends me back to the top of the page - every time. It requires me to reload pages, because it lost it's place.
I don't have this problem with websites for other seed companies, so I can only assume it's a Burpee issue. I'm a long time Burpee customer, but I'm getting frustrated with the site. It's not worth the time and effort, when I can go elsewhere.

Not very customer friendly
Not very customer friendly. Every time I ordered an item I had to go back to the begining. It took me 3 times longer to place what I wanted because of this system.

Glitchy website experience
I have ordered Burpee seeds for years, however this time my experience was frustrating and annoying. The website was very glitchy and hard to navigate. After clicking on a selection to read more details, I couldn't navigate back to my the page I was on - even after reloading (using an up to date Google Chrome browser). It was so frustrating that I almost gave up. After finding the seeds I wanted, the checkout process was not much better - I had to click on the Checkout button 3-4 times before it finally would proceed to the payment page.
Sure hope they fix this otherwise this might be my last order. :(

Pretty product pages; terrible account pages
The product portion of the website is terrific: 5 stars
The account portion -- login, lost password, checkout -- is terrible: 1 star
Wouldn't accept my login. Msg: "locked out for awhile or bad password" => terribly uninformative.
Tried "lost password". No confirmation on web, no email with new link; nothing. Finally had to create a new account with a new email address.
Checkout doesn't work with password manager (maybe due to badly named input fields). Must re-enter many things manually. Paste card # does not enable red button; must click on the field as well.

Love the selection and variety offered but your website search needs improving. Took me twice as long to find what I wanted. It's difficult finding specific items with the current filters and I really don't want to see the items that are sold out or unavailable.

Your website is a nightmare to navigate!!! I eventually had to sign in as a NEW customer!!! I hope you received my multiple comments from the original sale email!! The new one still a nightmare. WHY when customer wants to see "Aster Seeds" your snotty nosed little boy programers put up 377 items!!! Why not just aster seeds??? Same for all other search categories!!! I am NOT a new customer!!! Yet the snot boys made me try over and over rejecting my attempts and when I posted comments received promise I would receive response "soon" but never ever received a response. As I said the whole experience has been a nightmare. I would have stopped but wanted the specific tomato seeds. Did not bother to be notified when Power Pops became available as they were remaining seeds I wanted. Will have to do without sad to say!!!

I am giving your shopping experience a poor review,..NOT your seeds.
1. Most of the items I wanted were out of stock. It took extra time to sign up to get a notice when they were available. The inventory notice was also inconsistent. For example, when trying to order a Sunflower it was an immediate notice out of stock. When trying to order a Gomphrena the site didn't tell me it was unavailable until I tried to put it in my cart. You should have a better way to sort or filter items and add an out-of-stock selection.
2. every time I clicked on an item and then wanted to return to shopping, the site would take me to the top of the list. When there are hundreds of items I don't want to have to start at the beginning every time. Please take me to where I left off.
3. The filter feature has bugs. Quite a few times I set a filter and nothing would show up. I would have to return to the home page and then start over. The next time the items loaded just fine.
4. Your search feature is painful. I tried to search for yellow then orange then gold tomatoes. I got everything yellow, orange and gold except tomatoes. I had to scroll through all of your tomatoes to find what I wanted.
