Downgraded
My iPhone was downgraded quite a bit, and I received less than half of what I had originally brokered for my trade in. On the flipside, at least I got a few bucks ... it's better than nothin'!

Clear directions and fast payment.. Everything was straightforward. I got a reduced offer by maybe $10-15 when they saw the condition of the phone, but I think it was a fair assessment and I still got a good price for it.

Might not get the money you think you will
Service offers several conditions on their website but what they consider your items condition and what you consider it are not always the same. Just be prepared to receive a counter offer significantly lower than what you are expecting.
Better of seeling the item on your own (ebay, facebook marketplace etc) than to use this service. They are responsive but dont actually offer the numbers they claim to.

At checkout, your Galaxy Tab was submitted in “Flawless” condition. During inspection, our evaluation team documented excessive scratches on both the display and the body/bezel. These findings were shared with you in the evaluation notes.
After you disputed the assessment, the trade-in was escalated to a supervisor for a second review. The supervisor independently confirmed the same condition findings and provided photo documentation to support the adjustment. I personally reviewed the images that were shared with you and agree with the final assessment. Based on the level of wear observed, the device was accurately regraded to “Fair” in line with our published grading guidelines.
I must stress that our goal is always to honor the original quote when devices are described accurately - that is the entire essence of our service and the reason we provide instant quotes upfront. However, accurate condition selection from the outset is essential. We evaluate both cosmetic and functional aspects of every device, and our grading standards are applied consistently. Our grading guidelines are published to create clarity and consistency, helping ensure the experience is straightforward and free of surprises for both parties.

Sent in a phone with a brand new screen, got it back badly scratched
I sent in an iPhone 16 with a brand new Apple-installed screen for trade-in. BuyBackTronics claimed it had "scratches on screen" and reduced their offer from $395 to $330. After weeks of back-and-forth where they assured me their evaluators wear protective gloves and handle devices with care, I declined their offer and asked for the phone back.
What I received was shocking — the screen is covered in heavy, clearly visible scratches. It looks like it's been used for months. I sent in a pristine device and got back a damaged one. Their "careful handling" clearly isn't what they claim.
I've requested compensation for the damage and am filing complaints with the BBB, FTC, and Florida Attorney General. Be very careful sending your devices to this company.

During inspection, your device was documented as having scratches on the screen and scuffing on the bezel. Based on the level of wear observed, the device was downgraded to “Fair” in line with our published grading guidelines. After you disputed the findings, the trade-in was escalated to a supervisor for a second evaluation, who independently confirmed the same condition assessment.
For transparency, our team provided photo documentation of the cosmetic condition along with receiving CCTV footage and a device identification video confirming the IMEI of the unit received. As shown in the documentation shared with you, the scratches were present across the display and bezel.
I personally reviewed the photos provided by our team and observed scratches throughout the display and scuffing across the bezel. This level of wear is consistent with a device that has seen prolonged use and is not something that would develop during brief transit or while in our care.
Our intake process is designed specifically to preserve device condition. Devices are placed into protective bubble bags immediately upon unboxing and are handled without tools that could cause cosmetic damage.
We take allegations of damage very seriously. After revisiting all documentation, there is no evidence to suggest that the device was damaged while in our possession.
While we remain disappointed that we were unable to meet your expectations, all evidence confirms that our protocols were followed and the device was graded accurately in accordance with both the submitted condition and our published guidelines.
