The devices sent in included three iPhone 16 Plus'. Upon evaluation, all three were found to have active financing or unpaid balances attached, and one also had cracked back glass. I personally rechecked the IMEI results as well, and the devices still show unpaid balances.

These factors significantly impact trade-in value and are outlined in our condition and eligibility guidelines during checkout.

As detailed in our communication, amended offers are always accompanied with the option to either proceed or request a return. In your case, you qualified for a free courtesy return, and that option was made available.

As always, we strive to run a fair and transparent platform where customers remain in control when an offer is amended, whether that means proceeding with the revised offer or requesting a return.

Hey Andrew,

We appreciate your feedback and understand your frustration. After reviewing the trade-in notes and discussing this with our customer support team, I wanted to provide some context on what occurred.

You had two separate trade-ins that were both received on Wednesday, May 13th. Once unpacked, each item was queued for evaluation by the appropriate department. The desktop was inspected and approved on Tuesday, May 19th, which was the 4th business day. In fact, during evaluation, our team identified a discrepancy, the desktop had a 2TB hard drive rather than the 1TB stated at checkout, and proactively increased the offer from $519 to $569.

The second trade-in was processed and accepted earlier today, Friday, May 22nd, prior to this review being posted. This was on the 7th business day, and we do recognize that this took longer than it should have. We sincerely apologize for falling short on turnaround time here and appreciate your patience.

Regarding the return shipping concern, our team noted that you specifically requested for the desktop to be returned while it was still in the evaluation queue. At that stage, the trade-in had not been amended or declined, and the offer was ultimately honored and even increased. As part of our service, returns are always free in situations where an offer is revised downward and a customer chooses not to proceed. In this case, as the offer was honored and improved, standard return shipping would apply when a trade in is cancelled after submission, particularly for larger items such as desktops where shipping costs are significantly higher.

Having gone through everything in detail, the trade-ins were handled in line with our process, and I hope this helps provide a more complete picture of what occurred.
