Tony was a pleasure to work with when he came to collect my Mercedes C Class today. Thorough inspection of the car followed by a short test drive. Nice and personable. Following this the original quote was paid in full. Hassle free.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

They sold my nephew a car that he now regrets purchasing a car from this dealership. Shortly after buying it, he Discovered multiple issues that were never disclosed. The most serious problem is that the turbo needs to be replaced — an extremely costly repair for a vehicle he was assured was in good condition. On top of that, there have been several smaller but frustrating issues that make me feel the car wasn’t properly inspected before being sold. The dealership are not being helpful in arranging the car to be fixed. After experience these issues just a week after purchasing you would think this so called trusted dealership would offer help. Avoid at costs!!

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

14/06/2025, drove 2 hours to purchase the Mazda cx-3 through Zuto with a £2000 deposit and finance on the remaining balance. Upon arrival, staff left us waiting 45 minutes despite being 10 minutes early to our appointment. Within 4 days, the engine management light came on and was told to pay the diagnostics fee. I rejected the vehicle, which BVG then messed around giving us a date to return. When finally returned on 26/06/2025, we were told to wait for the vehicle to be inspected before receiving funds back, which took 2 weeks. After several calls and emails with zuto, finance was paid back 18/07/2025. Called BVG myself to enquire about my £2000 deposit and the dealer claimed to have no knowledge of my deposit. I then had to speak with their after sales team who then said I’d have to wait a further 4 days to speak with their manager. Manager returned the money within minutes of me emailing, but this could and should have been done much earlier- especially considering they re uploaded and resold the car in this time! I never received the logbook for the car, they insisted on doing this via post, and the car was resold with 5 previous owners which is what it was when I bought it, confirming that they never put the logbook in my name!! Very dishonest, rude and total time wasters. Avoid at all costs

We bought a 2019 Discovery Sport from…

We bought a 2019 Discovery Sport from BVG in January. 3 months in, the timing chain failed. The car was great and had a full service history and the team at BVG serviced the car before we collected it. Obviously me and my partner were quite worried especially as we had a baby on the way and the last thing we needed was an expensive repair bill so soon after buying the car and spending nearly £18k!

I made a quick phone call to the aftersales team and Zack sorted everything out. We had the car dropped off they were kind enough to give us a courtesy car whilst our car was in for repairs and we had a new timing chain fitted and the car was repaired within a week under their warranty. No quibble or hassle. We can't fault BVG we understand used cars can go wrong and we can't blame them for this issue but the way they dealt with it so efficiently and professionally was top class! We would recommend to all our friends and family.

Mike and Zack especially from the aftersales team are total gents. Thanks guys.

If I could leave them 0 star I would!

If I could leave them 0 star I would!
They are only good when they want to sell you a car, anything after it’s pure shit show!
I bought a car from them 3 months ago for 13.5k. When we looked at the car there were drops of oil below the engine but we were assured by Shah that’s cause their team serviced the car AND THEY WOULD NEVER SELL A FAULTY CAR! That was the biggest and first lie I heard from BVG! after 10 days from purchase car started to making rattling noise from the engine. I took the car to mechanic and it turned out to be MAJOR leak from the engine, which already affected the v belt (rattling sound)… I contacted them straight away after I found out the estimated repair will cos £3000!!! They took car back to repair it on their own (warranty advised) and it took them 4 WEEKS!!!! I had to chase them on multiple occasions to speed up the process. When finally we picked the car up and mentioned we are going straight away to the mechanic to check the car if it has been repaired at all (no trust left to BVG) guy was trying to be very loud and mention attorneys etc. We were given an invoice from mechanic for £1K which looked as fake as this whole place is… never seen invoice so fake… let’s not forget the whole process should cost £3K to repair so difference was huge! We took car to mechanic and straight away you could say this wasn’t done up to the standards at all! Seal and silver paint around Mercedes engine? You have to be kidding me! Nothing have been unscrewed as there were spider webs in places where if engine removed and repaired nothing would look like that! Straight away reported that and was told they think repair has been done up to the standard! They started making up fake stories my mechanic said before the engine chain must be replaced to make him stupid which was NEVER EVER mentioned anywhere in communication or in the documents!
So let’s ad some of the lies I heard throughout the process:
1. Person working in after sales has a speech issues and can’t pick up the phone so you can only email them (How convenient!),
2. Garage sends them invoices on Saturday’s afternoon so when I pick up the car on Saturday morning it might not be ready!!!! (Car was ready couple days before so how convenient as well)
3. I was told on the day when I was leaving the car with them that they will inspect the car to check if there is engine leak and let me know when that happens. I left the car Friday afternoon and I haven’t heard anything until Thursday next week and when was chasing I was almost told off how dare I even ask so quickly! It can take them 14 days or something (miscommunication between their own staff..)
4. After 14 working days I was chasing for updates and was told of course mechanic had a family bereavement (again how convenient…) and it’s not enough of them to be faster…
My mechanic said it’s 3/4 days job, not 3/4 weeks job!
Only positive it’s I got a courtesy car from them (manual, 1.2 petrol Hyundai from 2009) which I had to use for 4 weeks and spent so much money on fuel as I am travelling a lot.
Overall I would never ever wish this kind of treatment and stress to anyone else, instead of enjoying my car I haven’t used it for a month and had to pay insurance etc! I reported them where I could and hope so karma is going to get them sooner or later! Bunch of scammer who doesn’t’ give a f..k about a client when transaction is over and car is sold. Also I was told MOT and service was freshly done before buying a car so went to other garage and there was no service done recently to the car looking at the filters etc. So another lie just to sell the car. I am more than sure they don’t inspect the car before selling them or just hope for no issues in first weeks/ months.
I don’t recommend this place to anyone! I already told everyone around me to avoid this place like hell!
Scammers!

Kia proceed gt line

Bought a Kia proceed gt line ,for the year car was ok,3 months warranty given ,but when it went in for service 8 weeks later and 1000 miles add the front and rear suspension bushes were falling apart ,Kia said if the car was in it warranty they replace free of charge
BUT when I told BVG CARS IN OLDHAM the next day they said it was wear and tear, the cost to repair front and rear bushes was £700
So remember if you buy a car from BVG OLDHAM REMEMBER-the Warranty isn’t worth anything ,it’s a con if it goes wrong in the first 3 months forget your warranty they give you

Avoid selling to them via CarWow

Sold a car to them through Carwow. Their driver comes and haggles the price offered down because of every little detail they can complain about, even though you it’s minor things that would go away with a waxing. They bring up prices for repainting whole panels into the hundreds, saying that they will have to invest up to 1k before reselling their car, when in reality they jut wash+wax and relist the car 1 day later for a huge markup.

Worse off, after finalizing the transaction they push you aggressively to open Google and leave them a five star review. I had to sell it fast due to personal reasons so I agreed, but if you can, avoid it then at all costs! you are probably better off at WeBuyAnyCar.

My granddaughter paid this lot £100 to reserve a car via the link received for 24hrs at 11.00hrs on 20th February 2025 payment said successful after putting card details in and verified by the bank. Later the same day they sent her a text to say sorry they had sold the car and was anything else she might be interested in. Well what a totally underhanded unprofessional bunch of untrustworthy people. Now noticed at 20.00hrs that the car had been relisted at 18.30hrs. Review justified.

Disappointing Warranty Service and Lack of Accountability

I am extremely disappointed with the aftersales service provided by BVG Automotive regarding a warranty issue with my Toyota C-HR. I reported a headlamp failure on November 24, 2024, well within the three-month warranty period, and initially, the team seemed cooperative, even reimbursing the cost of replacing the bulbs.

However, the underlying problem—a defect in the headlamp assembly—remained unresolved. Despite technicians confirming it as a latent defect likely present at the time of purchase, BVG Automotive has refused to cover the cost of the repair, citing the expiration of the warranty. This is deeply frustrating, as the issue was reported within the warranty period and clearly relates to the original claim.

To make matters worse, their communication and willingness to address the problem have been inconsistent, leaving me to deal with the stress and expense of the repair on my own. As a customer who trusted their commitment to warranty coverage, I feel let down and unfairly treated.

I cannot recommend BVG Automotive to anyone seeking a reliable and trustworthy dealer. Their handling of this situation suggests a lack of accountability and customer care.

I hope they reconsider their approach to aftersales service and take responsibility for genuine warranty claims in the future. Until then, buyers should proceed with caution.
