Very Poor Treatment

I had an error on my Fed gun form. Pushed the wrong button while using a piece of computer equipment that I had never used before. I was told "Sorry. It will be 90 to 120 days before you can get your hand gun. Given the impression that this was a Fed program. OK, went home. Next day I call ATF&E to find out how we can correct the situation. I am told that this is not a Federal program. The nice man at the ATF&E suggested just correcting the form and sending it in... but Cabela's uses a 'tablet', very hard to correct. The next day, I went back to Cabela's to discuss what the ATF&E man called a clercial error. I asked for the Manager on Duty. Young man said he was it. I got about 1/2 way through my explaniation and he shut me down. "Nothing to be done" "90 to 120 days" I asked if he could tell me if it would be 90 or 120 days. Answer was "NO". I passed on the ATG&E suggestion that we talk to the FBI rep or the Cabela's IT man and see if we could solve the problem. "NO" Could he put me in touch with his IT man? "NO" Could I talk to his supervisor? "NO". Could he give me his supervisior's name? "NO" And he made it quite clear that he felt that I was a simpleton and that he held the whip hand and there was nothing I could do about it. He was intentionally rude and overbearing. I didn't want to loose my temper, so I left. I have tried to reach upper management at Cabela's or Bass Pro for the last 2 days. Something that the corperation makes very hard to do. No calls. No e-mail. This is where we're at. They have my $900 and I ain't got squat.

Ordered items

Ordered items, came in two packages. Got one, an fighting to get the second one. Online store sucks on the shipping end. Only been 18 days waiting. I'll defiantly order amazon before cabelas again.

3 to 4 weeks wait time for refund

I've now spoken to two Cabela's reps about my return. The last one as I was speaking, put me on hold.....as I was in mid sentence! They've had my return for 17 days and I was told to expect 3 to 4 weeks to get my credit card refunded. In the meantime Cabela's has inundated my email with spam and sales promotions. What a crappy experience. I will never use this outdated company again.

I would give you no stars if it was an option I ordered a carhett sweatshirt that came with the inksensor tag I contacted them so I could ship it back to have it removed as the closest store to me is 3.5 hrs away the lady said no they would have to do it as a return and send me a new one which seeing it was limited edition they were sold out so my only option was to return it or walk around with ink tag lol Yah well amazing staff at the tractor supply with open arms and outstanding customer service took it off for us as long as we showed them a receipt to prove it wasn't stolen so now we shop at tractor supply and will never buy and have told all our friends about the awful experience

Was ready to drop a couple grand on a new rifle scope there but due to the non existent customer service and crazy wait times, I will take my business elsewhere. They need to divide their customer service between people who are purchasing firearms vs people who just want to buy accessories. Place is worse than the department of motor vehicles.

Today I and my wife went to cabelas to buy a hunting scope . We registered for a number like they said,we waited for one hour and 15 minutes and when I said that I will complain the lady went behind the gun counter and looked for the scope .She said we dont have it .They wasted our time for a chinese scope they did not have .they dont have respect for customers.

I made an online order

I made an online order. After two weeks it had not arrived at the store for pickup. I went to purchase a different item in person and they had the thing I had ordered online in stock so I bought it and they told me I had to call customer service to cancel the online order. The guy on the phone gave me the run around but told me he would get it cancelled. Well, they charged me for online purchase of the item that day and finally sent it to the store AFTER I asked them to cancel it. I don’t know what in the world is going on with this store these days but they’re not organized and don’t seem to give a h about wasting peoples time and making false charges on peoples credit card after you ask them to cancel an order they slack off on for two weeks.

DO NOT ORDER GIFT CARDS FOR DELIVERY

placed an online order for a $75 gift and found out it is shipping out via regular USPS mail. NO TRACKING, NO INSURANCE. Unacceptable practice not protecting the customer. No notification of such policy during the ordering process either. Only found out by checking my order for tracking information, then calling customer service to ask why. DO NOT ORDER GIFTS CARDS FOR DELIVERY

Location in Glendale, Az gave us a terrible experience! Don’t come here if you want good service for your business! We were checked in and in queue for awhile and their system kicked us out. We brought the incident to the staff but they didn’t help or do anything! Still waiting… for almost an hour now. Nice job Cabelas!

Ordered item on November 28th

Ordered item on November 28th, paid 8.99 for express shipping and was gaurenteed November 30th delivery. No delivery on the 30th called and asked why did I pay for express shipping if that is not happening. Was told will recieve item tomorrow. Still no delivery, so called back wanting refund for entire order. Was now told cant do that because item shipped, so asked for refund on express shipping because this is not express, that they did however after I got off the phone with customer service got an email stating item comming in on the fastest boat!!? Wth is it 3 miles off the coast of Guam?

I ordered a left handed rifle by mistake, called them right away you correct it or cancel. I was told they had to send rifle to store then they would have to enter it as abandoned before they could do anything. Called customer service and the store 3 different times The store guy told me it would be there Monday. Then today they told me don’t call us we will call you!!!11/17/2023 Note I finally reached someone who helped , she immediately corrected things and credited my card. It’s who you talk to! I guess?

Placed a order September 22 2023…

Placed a order September 22 2023 product was not received $556.56 disputed it got reversal for it and 1 month later got recharged again! Called customer service they said I had to call my bank again which has nothing to do with the bank when it was initially charged by Cabela’s zero help untrustworthy! Terrible customer service If I could leave zero stars best believe I would million dollar company and still none of my gear either reshipped or refunded money!!!

Never expect to get what you pay for at Cabelas

Ordered for same-day store pickup....4 days ago. They charged me immediately, or course, but still haven't been able to walk the products over to customer service in the past 4 days. Still no email telling me the order of "in stock" items is ready for pickup. Cabelas won't even allow me to cancel the order "until it's ready for pickup", which it will probably never be. So clever, Cabelas.

Basically, a predatory scam store at this point. Don't EVER use their online ordering, you'll get nothing but a credit card charge and no product. Filing a dispute with my credit company and a complaint with BBB.

Bought "towels"

Bought "towels". 2 in picture in description. Got single towel for each item in cart, not 2 as shown. Customer service agreed their mistake. No adjustment, just return the item requiring packaging as original packaging was thin bag and visit to Canada Post. Customer is wrong even though their mistake.

Needed a dog vest immediately called 20 minutes on the phone going in circles with no help. Then was disconnected Would give negative # if possible and say how I really feel but would be arrested because I'd start swearing

Great and ok.

Love taking the grandkids there. Getting them gear for the fishing trips. But when I ask an associate for a particular kind, just point me in the right direction. Quit trying to sell me things I didn’t ask for.

25+ year black card member

25+ year black card members and my wife goes into Mitchel sd store to buy my birthday presents as she has done for years. She was denied the use of our cabelas points for the purchase. She has used them multiple times in this store and others. Store manager Ben Grenier was more interested in being accusatory and made the problem her fault. After talking with membership in the store and Lincoln she was still denied. After calling Club services we find out that she is totally eligible to use points and is secondary on card. Called store back and now talked assistant manager Andy because Ben had left and same story except more attitude and disrespect. I expect a lot more as a black card member In the way of help to solve the problem than washing their hands. No attempt was made to make the issue better. Upon returning the items that she was going to purchase Ben never spoke a single word or offered and help to rectify the issue.
So that being said we are canceling our card and will never and I mean never set foot in a cabelas store again. We will post this experience everywhere I am humanly possible to as well as spreading this experience verbally. Good riddance cabelas!!

Poor return policy

Of the outdoor sporting goods stores I use, Cabela's 60 day return policy is the most restrictive. At Scheel's you can return anytime and REI has a 365 day return policy for members.

Don’t order dog training collar from Cabela’s

I ordered a shock collar to try and train my dog not to chase cats. When I ordered it said nothing about my item being a final sale item. Need less to say after about three weeks of it setting in the box I decided to return it. Contacted return put item number in and it’s states cannot be returned. People look on eBay this same item I got ripped of for can be bought for $69. To $80.00. I will not order anything else from Cables. I can simply get it on eBay and free shipping. Good by Cabela’s online ordering. Very unhappy costumer. I paid $199.00 for this one
